I originally wanted to try their white mocha... Sadly, it's not available. So i opted for one of their bestsellers instead. Sabi daw ni ate, Latte ang safe bet so i went for it.

It's okay.... Not the best latte that i've tasted, but not the worst one either.

My verdict??

There's something in this place that I like. Cool vibes!

Since I'm feeling cold today (literally and figuratively), I ordered hot mocha. And I liked it. Something to soothe my nerves. I loved the balance of chocolate and coffee.

I also tried their Green Tea Waffle (in the photo). Yummy! It consists of soft Belgian waffles, home-made egg custard, and Japanese green tea cream. I think so sulit for Php 140. So filling!

As for the interiors, I tell you, it's very cozy. I think if only I'm still studying, this could be my tambayan. (Aside from Bo's, which was my sanctuary during College).

I read from the other reviews that this may be jam packed during weekdays, as lots of students, you know, studying and meeting up. Good thing I went here on a Sunday. Too quiet, too cozy, and too homy.

I'll be back for sure, and I'll try Ethiopia something, which I found interesting in the menu. I'm thinking, just like Starbucks Reserve's Sun-dried Ethiopia coffee? I'll find out soon.

P.S. It's beside Common Room PH, an artsy fartsy haven! 128525128525128525

Found my new hiding place, just near my school (I have a 3-hour break, so I can still ride a jeep pa papuntang Campus huehue).

Very cozy place, however, 2 girls were giggling loudly from the other side of the table. I couldn't study well. Good thing they left after a few minutes I started studying.

Double Mocha is their bestseller. I think it was too foamy, but it's a great combination with their brownies!!!

Will try the Angry Black when I get back this week 🙂🙂🙂

I tried the Angry Black. I'm glad I did coz I love trying new tastes and I guess this would be something new to most of us. It's made of espresso shot, added to soda water, with a twist of lemon. Can you now imagine how it tastes like? Is it kinda weird? I'm telling you that it's really unique and refreshing!

As it is offered for a limited time only, you must try out this soon before it lasts!

"Pro-caffeinating (n) the tendency not to start anything until you've had a cup of coffee."

Went here on a Saturday because it is always full on weekdays because it is a good place to hang out (and study)!

This humble coffee shop is a must-visit. Not only is the place great but also their food and drinks. The place is really cozy. I tried their iced caramel latte and I loved it. The best go-to coffeeshop when you are tired of cliche shops! Good thing I live in a dormitory next to this coffeeshop!

After our Mongolian Bowl Buffet, we decided to explore Katips via walking. We found ourselves having a cup of joe at Equatorial.

One of those third wave coffee joints. The interior is modern, i specifically liked the mismatched tables and chairs. Wood meets metal. Eclectic and modern. The place is small and has the secluded vibe, perfect for studying and sone much needed alone time.

We ordered a cup of piccolo and green tea latte. I dunno when latte art started but I am diggin it. The barista made a leaf like thingy on my green tea latte. We both had a sudden flashback of Louis C.K.'s stand up routine.

"That n&₱@%& made a shit out of my coffee..."

I love my green tea latte, it's not a leafy as the others I've tasted. No chlorophyll aftertaste. The Piccolo is smooth and exudes a very strong coffee flavor. He likes it.

And oh, wifi is crazy fast. And they play good music, no Bieber, Miley or One Direction.

Go for the Piccolo! It is full on weekdays (school days) but it is a good place for hanging out and having coffee.

The moment I stepped into this place...wow! What a respite from the hustle and bustle and heat that pervades Loyola Heights today. Whew! Refreshing interiors, style and comfort and modernity with a feeling of home in one flowing space. :) that's the word for my experience here: FLOWING.

I was welcomed by soft Ibiza-ish music... The barista took my order and I had my order within 10-15 minutes. My sandwich was toasted just right (not too crunchy or burnt like they do at other coffee dives along Katipunan)... Attention to detail pretty evident in this hole-in-the-wall... My sandwich tasted and looked fresh.

Felt like this place should be somewhere in Makatiin the Greenbelt area and not near Katipunan...! :)

My kani sandwich was huge and filling for only Php150... My iced mocha was also the same price and a big enough size with a punch. Coffee was great! Will hold team meetings here soon. So cool...

Try it out...!

Oh, and the wifi was super fast and reliable. Hooray! Great place to think, work, be creative and enjoy some awesome coffee and fresh plates.

Though the coffee tasted watered down to me, their brownie made up for it by a lot. 128149

The coffee was good, the ambience yet what pissed me off is the noise coming from students giggling. Please spare a little concern for those who wants at peace.

Dropped by this hidden coffee shop beside Common Room PH for a quick pick-me-up coffee.

Their coffee is good. Ambiance is also nice but when we visited it was a bit packed with students.

Meet the newest coffee joint in Katipunan. Equatorial Coffee is an urban coffee place tuckedp in an alleyway. You can find it along F. Dela Rosa Katipunan Q.C.

It's my son Latrell Joshua L exam today so decided to drop him in school and after that decided to check finally this newly opened coffee shop. It's just across his school so it's very convenient.

It was a quick Tuesday visit because I need to go back at home because my daughter Adelheid L will be home early today. Instead of drinking coffee and I'm sure I will not enjoy it if I'm in a hurry so I decided to have dessert instead. Thorn between red velvet cake or the chocolate molten lava cake so I go for the lava. I've been a fan lately of molten cakes, tried lava cake from forget me not cafe, cafe shibuya, Potts point cafe and this is the simplest of them all, no fancy vanilla ice cream on top but the moment you cracked it, the chocolate flows just like a real lava. The chocolate was so rich and I loved it. I'm a chocolate person so I know I'll be in love with this.

The ambiance is nice, there were light bulbs decor near the counter. They have wifi too. I'll be back next time for their coffee 9749128077 nice place to hangout

Found a new neighborhood coffee joint out in the streets of Katipunan today! It's located on the same street as KFC, found right beside Go Salads and Common Room PH. It used to be the other Moonleaf branch. The place was well-lit, quaint and quiet. For me, the space does not cater to huge study groups, but is great for solo workers, or a small group of friends.

Ordered the Caramel Latté, which was smooth, but it was too sweet for my taste. Maybe I'll go for the plain latté next time.

Wasn't able to try out their food, but they did have some sandwiches and some pasta- some carbs and caffeine to keep the students going!

I had Iced Americano and chocolate cake.

Pretty decent amount of coffee, for a P100. It is not really like the super third wave coffee place but it is still coffee.

The place isn't that super comfy because it is a bit cramped up inside. But the A/C is super cold. Better bring a jacket if you are planning to work there.

With the amount of places I've suggested to be put on looloo, I deserve a badge. *hint hint wink wink nudge nudge* Haha just kidding. Masaya na ako sa blooloo shirt at payoong. 128540

Anyway, this tiny coffee shop tucked behind KFC in Katipunan where Moonleaf used to reside is a quaint little place. If I could liken it to a person, it's the quiet, introverted, smart, bespectacled kid of the coffee shops in Katipunan. You won't notice it immediately, but once you do, you take a liking to it.

Smaller than what Moonleaf used to be because they walled off the kitchen at the back, Equatorial turns into a little nook with cozy industrial interiors, if that makes sense. Wood accents on the walls, large hanging light bulbs, wood + steel furniture, a cement wall on one side and an "exposed brick" wall (I suppose this was simulated and not the real structure of the building) painted white.

I paid little attention to the presence of outlets (and/or the number), though I do recall the girl seated behind me had her laptop plugged into the wall. The music was okay; a little loud for my taste, but that's just me. The sole staff member manning the register and making the drinks seemed a little timid, but friendly and accommodating. The owner came in too, and I found out he was a batch lower than we were. Nice guy!

I liked how the counter was situated. It was like a stand-alone island; both ends open so staff could come and go from either side.

It was just lunch time, yet all drinks with caramel weren't available! Must be a big seller. Got an iced latte, and a grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich was nothing special for the price, just regular white bread with what I'm guessing was chiz whiz haha. I don't remember the exact price of each item, but I paid a total of 245 for the latte and sandwich. Average?

I'd think this place is conducive for working, though I have yet to actually put it to that "test". I like scoping out "my spot" in coffee shops—specific tables I'd like to regularly sit at to work if it's available, haha—and for this, I'm unsure. I'm leaning towards the communal table, or one of the tables against the wood wall accents (for nice backgrounds when I take photos, lololol). Next time!
