We had our company excursion at Estrella Y Mendoza Playa Resort located at San Juan, Batangas. It's a two-hour drive from Quezon City via Skyway to SLEX and STAR.

When we arrived at the Resort, we were welcomed by the staff and assisted us to the function room to have lunch first and distributed the key for the room assignment.

The company's employees were big enough to get all the cabanas around the pool plus the VIPs were billeted to the the main hotel. 127970

Here are the rates:

SUPERIOR ROOM (Main Hotel) with 1 Queen Size bed and 1 Twin Bed - Php6,000++

CABANA (Houses around the Pool Area) with 2 Bedroom, Sala, Kitchen. It can accommodate up to 6-10pax - Php16,000++

Estrella Y Mendoza Playa resort is really a relaxing place to stay. The staff and crew were very accommodating and customer friendly. 9728

The negative part is that when the beach reach the low tide point it is really hard to swim... it is too far, you need to walk to swim. And it is like a mud when the beach is in low tide mode. 128166127754

But when it is high tide. You can play around of it. You can do water activities like banana boat ride and jet ski ride. 🛥

We had fun playing team building games, singing karaoke, bonding with co-employees, etc. 12851510084

booked this place last minute last year. since there were no more rooms to book with some of the known resorts in laiya. i wasn't even aware that estrellas de mendoza existed.

the room was a bit pricey. but it was worth it since a got a room with a good view of the pool and the beach. the room was big and the bed was big as well.

i tried the elevator so that i can experience looking at the view while going up. mostly i used the stairs.

i paid for the buffet dinner which was so so. we wanted to get out for the night but this resort is situated at the farthest end of laiya and we were too tired to drive.

parking space was enough.

the sand is not fine and the beach is really mediocre imho by laiya standards.

staff were okay. i didn't really interacted with them much.

Hotel is really good. Spacious and clean. I was able to have a good night sleep. However, the pool side is too rough it could injure you plus the beach is not good for swimming; quite dirty. The food included on our stay were too limited and nothing special.

I didn't love this place because of the pool and the beac. The looks nice but you will have a wound when you go to the side of the pool because the side of the pool was not smooth. The sand of the beach is not nice because there are lots of tiny rocks.

Unplanned trip with a bang!

Ambiance 4/5 stars
One of the tourist haven resort in Laiya, Batangas.
We just dine in on this resort to check the other side of the beach across Laiya.
They have nice infinity pool. Pricey but reasonable accommodation rates.
The only thing that we noticed is the uncomfortable sea shore. Its too far from the resort. Super low tide.

Customer Service 4/5 stars
Friendly and accommodating crew.
A little slow serving of our orders.

Food 4/5 stars
Ordinary pricey cappuccino
Good club house sandwich

Overall 4/5 stars
Better than the other resorts.

This hotel is a little too pricey but it's for a good reason.

The privacy tht they offer and my friends used the term "shala-shala" or "sosyal" since it is really in another class compared to its competitors.

The price is worth it.

Can I just say that this is quite an expensive resort to stay in for their amenities?
Bad wifi, blah food, beds which are not that nice... Attentive staff though... Still, can't say much about my stay except that I liked the pool!127946127946127946127946127946

Easily accesible from the Laiya Highway, and you can easily spot their signages along the road so there's no worry of getting lost. 128076

The hotel architecture reminded me of Macau. Hotel staff were very courteous. Hotel's relatively new (2 years?), so the facilities are still good. Haven't tried their infinity pool yet due to the cold weather (I'll try it tomorrow). We got the cabana for 10 persons, the room's spacious and amenities are all functioning well. 128079128079128079

My only complain is their WiFi. It is accessible on some public areas only and the signal's very poor. Boo! 128078
