Food is ok. But don’t go here if you’re in a big group or during peak hours because serving time can be as long as more than 2 hours.
Comfort room is acceptable but doesn’t have soap and tissue.

The 7 hours travel is so worth it.

It was my first time to go to Ilocos with my family and it wasn't planned ahead. We went there during the peak season of holy week this year. But I can say that we were lucky enough to get a room at Evangeline. 128522

Our villa was nice and cozy with two big, soft beds (We just added an extra bed for my little bro since we're five. And mind you, their extra bed was decent.); a huge, clean, and well-designed bathroom (with hot&cold shower and bidet); and a small veranda with the view of their small pool from the second floor (which also had a small ref for our baon, yey!). 9786
Not to mention the old but still cold aircon and a medium-sized TV equipped with a DVD player.
The room's furniture was authentic which added to the whole Ilocos feel of cultural preservation. 128077
Our villa wasn't beach front but was fine since it's just a minute's walk from the room to Saud's white sand. And Evangeline's location wasn't that great either given that the sand in front wasn't as fine as compared to the sand near Saud Beach Resort's. But again, this was okay for us since it's just a 5-10 minute walk from Evangeline to the white, fine sand of the North (And that's what we did. We walked and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.). 127749

In terms of service, the staff were very nice and accommodating. They were eager to help us from the time we arrived up to the time we left. And they all had smiles on their faces which I think helped a lot in boosting their customer service. 128521 (Good job team!)

The food, on the other hand, was just okay for me. It wasn't spectacular as compared to articles I've read via web (when I was searching for must-try restaurants days before our departure from Manila). I find their dishes sort of just the ordinary. 128075 I liked their Bulalo which I had for dinner the night of our arrival. Other than that, everything's usual. (We ate our first dinner there and the rest of our breakfast meals since it's complimentary.)

All in all, I can say that my family and I were very much satisfied with our stay at Evangeline (especially for their reasonable price and excellent customer service). I just think that they should improve their food so that they can attract more customers (even walk-ins). 128521

Been looking for good food near SAUD beach before our tour. So blogs came in and i think evangeline's EMOHRUO cafe is the best. So i booked a dinner for our group here. Its a buffet style.
Nothing special as my taste buds can recall... It was tasteless....or what., but in fairness, the set up was great, classy and elegant. Dining near the shore line is a great experience. Maybe we just had a wrong choice of food. Lol
