Have you ever had one of those Mondays? The kind where you're running late and yet the whole world around you conspires to keep you from getting to your meeting on time! The one where the line at Starbucks is as long as the traffic on C5 so you decide to forego an order! The type where you walk into the meeting room and you slink into back seat after your boss gives you the evil eye and your co-workers give you a wry smile!
Well I simply have to grin and bear it. My comfort is that there was no queue at Famous Belgian Waffles and that their Malaysian Strong Coffee was in stock and ready to be served. I desperately needed the boost that FBW's caffeine kick brings into my system. So, in between a couple of "Yes Boss!" and large swigs of coffee, I bravely (and happily) accept my fate for today.
For my morning slap in the face (coffee and evil eye both) and for my badly needed dose of Monday pick me up (caffeine and wry smiles together), thank you FBW for saving the day!
Bring it on Monday!

Ah, the joys of having a branch of Famous Belgian Waffles in our building. I get to enjoy my favorite Banana Hazelnut anytime I feel like it. Of course, one has to exercise a lot of patience because it seems every other employee in the building is thinking the same thing. But it's well worth the wait!
Lucious, ripe, sliced Cavendish bananas wedged in between a freshly made waffle with copiuos amounts of hazelnut spread. I love how their tastes complement each other. Pair this up with a hot cup of coffee and you've got yourself a merienda winner!

I'm glad I was able to jump onto the bandwagon and finally experience for myself all the good things I've read and heard about Famous Belgian Waffles. Thanks to the fact that our new office digs has it's very own branch of Famous Belgian Waffles (and Starbucks, and Master Siomai, and Jamaican Patties)!
No argument on what breakfast was this morning, a cup of strong Malaysian Coffee and a Banana Hazelnut Waffle. The coffee was plenty strong, enough to last me the whole day and replace my post lunch and afternoon cups! Felt like a slap on the face!
My Banana Hazelnut choice was perfect for the moment. The waffle itself was warm, crust crisp and inside soft. The bananas were ripe and sweet and complemented by the gooey and sticky hazelnut spread! I though to myself that this was such a nice way to start the day.
I ran through the menu and made a quick mental note to try the Peanut Butter, Blueberry Creamcheese, Strawberry Creamcheese and Banana Chocolate! Looks like my breakfast is planned over the next couple of days!
