My kids & i love their chocolate waffle! It has a crunchy & chewy texture when eaten right away. It's very cheap, too! 128076128077

Quality fail: Crunchy, thin crepe- like waffles that otherwise was definitely far-off from the Famous Belgian Waffle quality I've enjoyed from their other branches. This is their Galleria Branch.

After doing my groceries, I spotted the new FBW kiosk just off the supermarket. The kiosk was packed with customers and other people. Apparently, they were interviewing a lot of applicants and training out new waffle-cooks at this branch when I visited. The applicants took over the tables and chairs with their personal stuff and application forms. Its a good sign that they were truly on the way to more branches being opened!

After a 10 min wait in line, I ordered the Blueberry Creamcheese Waffle. Three cooks were manning the waffle-grill. Two who were being coached by what looked like their superior cook. It took them almost 15 mins to do my waffle.

The waffle was very THIN! Not the usual thick waffle I am used too. As I bit into it >>>CRUNCH!!<<<--just like a toasted bread-- not the chewy texture that I have loved. The waffles were tough! Again a failure! To the very least, the creamcheese-blueberry filling was good. Ended up just eating the filling and ditching the waffles.

I didn't bother complaining and having my waffles replaced. I didn't want to wait again. Besides, the training crew and the other staff all looked overwhelmed at their station plus they started interviewing the applicants.

Doesn't FBW have a test kitchen where they can do all the interviews, job application, and test cooking? A place where all the possible mistakes could be done? I think it's unfair that they throw to helm untrained personnel at one of their branches and let full-paying customers suffer the mistakes.

Truly disappointed with the quality here!

Learnings: If you chance on a FBW branch with trainees and applicants---stay clear! Hold that craving! Best head off for another branch for their good waffles.

I still love FBW, but this visit at this branch killed the experience.
