First time to try this diner from the recommendation of my friend's sister. Steak @ 149 and Ribs @ 199 both unlimited rice and drinks. Burger at 129 with 1 round of drinks. I guess it is worth it with the price. 128076🏼128076🏼128076🏼

Teemee T and I tried this resto place together with aome of his college friends on a saturday around 8 PM. The place was full, we were 2nd in line and waited for a while before we got seated. Parking was also a bit difficult but luckily a slot free up for us after around 5 to 10 mins.

We decided to seat outside as the ventilation inside the resto was not that good. The smell would stick to your hair and clothes. But be careful with your belongings when seating outside as there are kids roaming around asking for money (they only went to us once, didn't return after we declined giving some money). Also, it's a self service resto so you have to go up to the counter/cashier to order.

Their menu is quite simple and easy to understand. Just select a main dish and every thing else includes a bottomless drink of your choice and unlimited rice. Price is ok also, not very pricey

I decided to order the chicken barbeque while Teemee T ordered home style roast beef, both were delicious and tastey but the chicken serving size for me was bigger.

If the food wasn't pre-prepared I would've given this place a five.:))

I kind of expected a hot rib on my plate but they gabe me a lukewarm one nevertheless the food they served was scrumptious! It turned a little hard after a few times because it was precooked but the meal was just very sulit. Imagine 199 pesos for a steak, unlimited drinks, and rice! Still a very good deal.

Rated 5 stars due to fair pricing and taste. I mean, it has unlimited rice and unlimited soda! I must go to place if you are really "beastmode hungry!"! Sad to a fact that it is still under renovation as of now. 128542

The restaurant's name drew us in. Quite surprised that there were only 4 items on their menu. We went for the Australian Premium Steak and the 1/3 Pound Beefburger with Cheddar Cheese and Bacon. Skip the steak and go for that juicy burger.

Catchy name and signs but so so food. No option for a side order of Fries :(

Aussie Tbone steak with unli soda and rice.. how can you go wrong. only four choices are: steak , roast beef, Hungarian sausage, and a 1/3 pound burger. I like the decor. service is much to be desired. could have been a "lang bang". mix up with order so it took a long time. but there is a queue so I guess it's value for money that brings the crowd. 9786

I'm loving the recent Maginhawa food trips with my family, as it's a refreshing experience from the expensive meals I've been having around BGC/Makati area. The usual trade-off though is the slightly sub-standard service and parking issues.

Fortunately, with our recent experience at Fat Cousins', the only inconvenience encountered was the latter 128664

Fat Cousins' had a small area and was full when we got there at around 8PM. We just opted to dine al fresco, to feel the evening breeze, where we were occasionally approached by a couple of sampaguita sellers.

The food options here were once again very simple and straightforward, which I liked. They had 1/3 lb burger, sausage, roast beef, and Tbone Steak (this was unfortunately unavailable). Plus an assortment of drinks and desserts. What was commendable was that their meals were cheap and came with unlimited drinks (iced tea or soda) and rice!128077🏼 SUPER worth it.

It took quite a while before our order was accommodated by the cashier, which was fine since he excused himself and didn't snub me completely. Food took long to be served, but no big deal as well. Me and my mom ordered the burger with a slice of cheese. It didn't look glamorous, was in fact reminiscent of a Tropical Hut burger, but was surprisingly delicious. The patty was seasoned well, was thick enough, and was not greasy (I didn't have to dab my burger with tissue 128513).

My brother ordered the Hungarian Sausage while my dad ordered the Home Style Roast Beef. Both had small portions of buttered corn and carrots, mashed potato and gravy. Their orders tasted pretty normal; the latter tasted, and had the consistency of, beef tapa. They also loved the pepper in an actual grinder, which added flavor and spice to their food.

Our total bill was only PHP506, can you imagine that? That's like the cost of a meal for one person in Makati/BCG or in other "higher end" restaurants!

Will definitely be back for more Maginhawa food adventures!128523

After the UP Diliman’s lantern parade, we decided to eat dinner. We were thinking of Katipunan or Maginhawa. But it’s traffic so we just went at Maginhawa. My friends were so hungry so they wanted to eat rice. I just wanted to eat in a place with A/C because im too tired after walking. We ended up here (tho ang hina ng A/C nila!)

I ordered roast beef (Php149). It comes with unlimited rice, bottomless soda, mashed potato, and veggies. It was good! Im surprised that the beef was tender. But the serving was small. Also, you have to pay Php20 for the extra gravy. The gravy is like campbell’s cream of mushroom haha! I think they have to add a new option for unlimited mashed potato. I was so lucky that my friend don’t like mashed potato so I have two.

They also serve Hungarian sausage, (php129, also with unlimited rice, bottomless soda, mashed potato, and veggies) and hamburger (Php99, with fries and soda).

There are motivational posters around the place for people who love eating! What made me laugh was the typography in the toilet’s door! It says: Eat. Shit. Repeat.

Good, cheap food. Nothing excellent though. But its on the cheap side.

The burger was nice. The roast beef was just ok. The sides were too small.

Its unli soda and rice, so if you're into that, then its good. We didn't take advantage of it though coz a glass of soda a and a cup of rice is already good enough for us.

**I think I already erased our food photo so here's #gamerchef instead.

Review No. 40 — I had a thing in my head that everything in Maginhawa is exceptionally good. Maybe because I’ve gone to sooo many food places along Maginhawa and I haven’t had anything that’s disappointing. Unfortunately, Fat Cousins’ Diner will be the first place I’ve been to Maginhawa that serves really bad food.

I had their ultra-cheap T-Bone steak served with rice and veggies. There’s really nothing special about it. It was bland. It doesn’t look appetizing. Not even as good as how their menu described it. And what’s worse is I got served with raw and bloody T-Bone steak. No wonder it’s so cheap.

Service is just okay. I think they have too many staff for such a small space. The place is so cramped it’s almost like you’re eating food right in front of them. I think one waiter for this area is enough.

Plus side, they serve unlimited Pepsi beverages. Awesome. The ambiance of the place is perfect and cozy. They also play really good music.

I hope they do something about their food before it’s too late because a lot of new and interesting resto’s are opening along Maginhawa and it wouldn’t be that hard for these new concept resto’s to topple this one down.

WE ARE DEFINITELY COMING BACK.

Twas a rainy Saturday afternoon and the boyfriend and I wanted chow burgers.

Had their 1/3 pound burger - which was all the world in a bite. The patty was so juicy and flavorful. And because this is our first time to be in Maginhawa and to try this place for good food, we ordered (again) Homestyle Roast Beef which I have to say is HEAVEN. FOR REAL. So fork-tender and deeeeelish! Gravy was perfect. I can taste the beefy goodness there was. My boyfriend and I loved it.

Ambiance was awesome, off course. Drinks are not a prob for they serve all pepsi beverages unlimitedly.

This place is amazing. We are sooo coming back.
