Boyfies birthday celebration continued until last Sunday. He decided to treat his family lunch in Fely J’s in Uptown Mall since when we last went here, he was only able to try their liempo. It was quite a safe choice as well to go for Filipino Cuisine since we are with the family. He and his sister were saying that Fely J is the mother of Kuya J. Hahaha. Can’t help but ROFL! 🤣🤣🤣

Kidding aside, if I recall it right, Fely J is under the same group (The LJC) together with Abe and Lorenzo’s way. I know because they both have the Sikreto ni Maria Clara dessert. Haha.

Lucky him there was an available table for our group size of 7. It was Sunday lunch so boyfie and I had a little quarrel because he did not make a reservation. It’s always a must for me as much as possible because I hate waiting and I hate last minute change of restaurant. 128545128545128545 Still, you could tell the place is crowded and most groups are families. (Because Sunday is fambam day! Yay!)

Sad that his sister did not make it to lunch due to some important matters.

For our meal King and I ordered the following:

LUMPIANG SARIWA PHP165
I ordered 2 Lumpiang Hubad in advance because I haven’t eaten breakfast. Each order comes in 2 regular pieces. I can say it’s pretty good because King’s niece, who is a picky-eater loved it. The peanut sauce was not too sweet, and tasty enough that I didn’t ask for extra sauce anymore. I particularly liked the crepe used in the lumpia because it’s soft and not dry.

PANCIT CANTON GUISADO PHP299
It was saucy and has lots of ingredients. I rarely eat pancit canton because there’s this loathe factor for me so boyfie was surprised that I ate it and even asked for a second serving. 🤣

SINIGANG BONELESS BANGUS PHP455
Boyfie’s dad found this too soury. but it was just right for me. I was happy that I got the belly part and the fact that it’s boneless! 🤗 The staff has portioned it into bowls upon serving. One reason we also ordered was because boyfie’s brother does not eat meat anymore.

CRISPY PATANG BAWANG PHP695
King particularly ordered this. I know he was waiting for that moment. Haha. He loves Cripy Pata a lot. Whenever we order one, I only eat the skin portion. Haha. I was expecting it to be a little bit more crispy and crunchy, but I guess it was intentional to be cooked that way because each bite was juicy. 128523128523128523 I liked the crispy pata suace too! I was just a little disappointed because you wouldnt taste the ‘bawang’ flavor in the pata itself. They bawang was simply put as a topping on the pata.

KKK (KARE-KARE KLUB) PHP650

They had me at KKK. 🤣 I loved the smell of the peanut sauce, however, I didn’t taste like how I imagined it to be. It was still pretty okay because the oxtail and tripe were both tender and fall off the bones plus the peanut sauce was thick. I loved that there’s a lot of vegetables in it and that they are not overcooked. Their sauteèd bagoong didn’t disappoint neither. I just find it pricey as compared with the Crispy Pata because this is just 50 pesos less than the pata. On the other hand, I find the Pata actually cheap for less than Php700. I just feel that Crispy Pata should be a little bit more expensive over Kare-Kare. Haha.

SIKRETO NI MARIA CLARA PHP185

I ordered this because I know boyfie’s mom will love it and she did. It’s a sticky rice served with slices of mango covered in vanilla ice cream and topped with caramelized coconut cream or latik, hence, the secret of maria clara. Everything in this plate just complement each other! The mango slices added flavor and sweetness to the dessert.

LECHE FLAN PHP105

King’s first impression was it’s too lemony and just by looking at it, I could tell he was right because the flan was yellowish. I think Max’s is even better but Fely J’s flan was equally thick and creamy. Maybe just a little bit less of that lemon or citrus flavor would make it better.

As I can recall, I didn’t like Abe when we tried it in Mega Mall, but FELY J’s quite impressed me. The service was great and serving time was reasonable enough that we didn’t have to make a follow up. Maybe because of the cracker they served while we were waiting for our food. 🤣 They served us 3 baskets of those and boyfie’s niece loved it. We also ordered fresh Dalandan and Green Mango juice which comes in a tall glass. I forgot how much it was.

Boyfie also had a complementary Maja Blanca for his birthday. Hehe. Just let the staff know that someone is celebrating a birthday and they will just surprise you with a birthday song and a candle when you least expect it. Haha. They didn’t even ask for an ID.

I just feel that the plain rice was pricey at Php65 per cup. I wish they have a plain rice for sharing as well. King was surprised that the rice was almost Php500. Haha!

I noticed the simplicity on how they serve their dishes. It is what it is (except for Sikreto ni Maria Clara 🤣) I actually admire it because it was practical for me unlike other restaurants out there that use such extra huge plates for a serving of rice or viand. Sometimes, I find it annoying because one dish occupies your entire table already. 128530

The ambiance and interior of the place gives you that traditional and homey feeling. I would rate the overall experience with 4/5. This will surely be one of my choices for my Filipino cuisine cravings.128149

Loved the Krispipatang Bawang 128150 and the Sansrival. The staff were so accomodating and the cool thing was today was the birthday of Ms. "Fely"? And we got a chance to get a freebie or in the house bill (our bill will be free) but my mom draw a free bam-i, which is not bad at all. 128077🏻 (but the food was just a bit pricey but the taste is good 128076🏻)

Kapampangan food is the absolute best!

The picture says it all.

Gone in good time.

Fely J is Abe's wife (I was told). Abe is another great resto in Serendra. But that's another story.

I ordered Shrimp Gising Gising (245php). My friends ordered the Temple Crab (190/100g) served in top of a pile of rice; Tortang Talong (with ground beef inside), lechong kawali, gambas ang tokwa.

Everything was perfectly prepared.

Prep time was tolerable considering th quality of food.

On top of all this, the best part is they serve brown rice! 🤗🤗🤗

After I dined at Uptown Parade, I went back to Uptown Mall for dessert. At Fely J's Kitchen, I tried their Halo-halo for Php130.00. I enjoy crushing and mixing the ice and eating the various ingredients of Fely J's Halo-halo. 127847

Come and visit Fely J's Kitchen at the 2nd Floor Veranda, Uptown Mall, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Very good service. Waiters are so attentive to our needs even if we didn't call their attention, they would pour water into our glass and change our dirty plates. 128079🏻128079🏻128079🏻
