Filling Station Bar and Restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants in Burgos St. Makati. Ever since I could remember, I’ve always wanted to try dining in this restaurant because of its ambiance. You could definitely imagine yourself being transported to the past, like around 1950s-1960s. I love their playlist because they were playing classic songs. To the likes of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, etc.
Although I love the ambiance and vibe of Filling Station, I was disappointed with their quality of food and service. I ordered their Filling Station Super Burger priced at 468php. For its price, I found it expensive even though the servings were huge. Nakakaumay yung patty to the point di ko naubos yung order ko. Their burger was just your typical burger. Burger King burgers are much better for me.

As for their service, it took my order approximately 40 minutes til it could arrive on my table. It was even hard to get the attention of the waiters and waitresses.

Although, I would have to say their Breakfast meals are quite good. My best friend ordered waffle w/ chicken. I enjoyed the waffles, tbh. Waffle wasn’t too hard so it was easy for me to eat it. The honey complemented the waffle. The chicken still needs more flavour. I would have to go for Bad Bird’s chicken though.

Overall, Filling Station still needs a lot of improvement when it comes to their food and service. Their ambiance, on the other hand, is very satisfactory.

Just a tip : I highly recommend you ride the Uber/Grab instead of bringing your own car. Parking is hard to find. Limited availability when it comes to side street parking.

Am I still going back? Not anytime soon.

Filling Station Bar and Cafe is one of the oldest diner in Burgos St, Makati City. I remember when I was in college year, after partying in Malate, Manila, my friends and I will go here to eat late night breakfast. Those were the days... haha! 128514

Nothing much change in the diner, Superman and Batman are still there. Marilyn Monroe still smiling at me when I enter the 1950’s theme diner. Elvis Presley still on his brush-up look and many more. Except in the new wing, which is more instagram worthy expansion. And it is inspired in the U.S. Hit T.V. Series - Riverdale. I’m sure you will not missed to take some photos when you see the expansion of the Filling Station.

Aside from breathtaking interior and awesome collections of vintage stuff, you can also play billiards or sing in a jukebox if you kinda want some activities in the diner.

We had a heavy breakfast meal during our visit in the Filling Station.

127859Filling Station Breakfast for Php649.00
(2-eggs, sausage links, bacon, corned beef, hash brown and toasted bread with butter and jam served with coffee or juice) - 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5
“It’s a big serving in a big plate. Shareable by 2. They cooked the egg as I wanted.”

127859Spiced Seafood Salad for Php348.00 (Mixed lettuce tossed in sesame vinaigrette with fresh pomelo and spiced seafood) - 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5
“I like the flavor of sesame vinaigrette dressing. It makes the salad more appetizing.”

Overall, the place is amazing and they served good and delicious food but they need to improve the service. The staff/crew must be attentive and alert on what the customer’s need. And they must not forget to ask or know if the order is complete already.

Ate dinner then had dessert here before a booze somewhere else. 🤣🤣🤣

Make sure to order their Chocolate Dome - Php120/slice (see last photo)!!! 128149128521128523 Out of the four, it was the most remarkable one. Trust me. I love sweets enough to know it was legit. Lol.

If not for the service, would’ve given 5 stars. It was unforgivable when we had to ask for water for more than 5 times when we were having dessert. 128149

I’d love to go back when there’s lesser crowd. Their open 24hrs anyways so I’m pretty sure you can find the best time to visit and have a Riverdale-like photoshoot. 128149128149128149

Dine in and enjoy old Hollywood style at the Filling Station in Makati Avenue. Enjoy the sights and experience the thrill being here. Enjoy the life size figures of Elvis Presley and whole lot more iconic figure. But definitely, enjoy their food!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Try their Best-selling, "The Filling Station Pizza" and thr Cheeseburger Pizza. 127829127829127829. I will come back definitely. 12813911088️🇺🇸

Its been a while since i last visited here and it seems they have expanded with a new wing that was really instagram worthy.

Filling station was a us diner type just like jonhnny rockets type but more authentic feel situated in the heart of burgos that is a famous hangout for expat and foereigners, whom are the frequent patrons here besides those who seek instagram worthy pic. I remember our last visit here was more than a year and the old area was already nice but in addition to their new wing comes new items on their menu.

Just lime any diner place dont miss out with their milkshake at 280 which is really huge. The chicken with pancake.was awesome as well which reminds me of bad bird but had the home cook feel. Also dont missed out on their clam chowder soup that was really big and creamy, this will make you full even without main dish. :)

They have oldie cadillac vehicle at the middle which serves as a table and the only catch is that you have to spend at least 3 thousand for thaf seat which is olay if your 6 to 8 pax.

Last, savour the environment, the lights, the sounds, and those old movies showing on the big screen.

Love the whole idea of this place. The entire place is embellished with everythig retro. I found some photos of James Dean, as well - one of my favorite actors ever existed, so that's a definite plus. The food doesn't disappoint, too. Though, it may come off as a little pricey, every meal on the menu is a sure fire, pun intended.

Would love to go back here again.

P.S. It is soooo near my workplace. :)

This place definitely had the RIVERDALE vibes with it!

☑️Venue: Place is big and so as the decors. Its most likely crowded. Its for all types of customers whether you came with your friends or family.
☑️Ambience: This is definitely killer instagram worthy background and a place to channel your inner riverdale story!
☑️Staff: A bit slow when it comes to taking orders and bill out.
☑️Cleanliness: I think place is clean and tidy.
☑️Food: Well i came for a good picture and milkshake actually so i got that nice touch of good old milkshake magic! Although, i was not able to enjoy the 4cheese pizza that we had it was "nakakaumay".
☑️Price: You must visit this place on paydays. We had a bill of 1200php for 2pax just for 2 milkshakes and 1pizza!

Instagram worthy photos!

Another favorite breakfast place! I love diners! Especially this place. I love pancakes, waffles, pizzas bacons, milkshakes and they have everything here. The staff wearing diner uniforms, the comfy couches, push button for assistance, valet parking everything! I just love everything here.

As for the food, I got their waffle platter during this visit, big waffle with 2 bacons and sausages and it is delicious! Just the way I like it. Crunchy bacon, juicy sausage and crispy waffle is all I need to start a blessed Sunday. 128523128077🏻

One of my favorite breakfast place in Makati aside from Wildflour, since there is no parking along this street, you can have your car valet at the hotel beside this resto and you don't have to pay so much for valet just hand them 40-50 pesos and they are fine with that. 128522128077🏻

I am a bread guy more than rice especially bfast so I ordered this pancake platter with sausages and strips of bacon. This diner is just authentic. The feel, their food, everything is just perfectly dinery good. Pancakes are big and fluffy just as it should be, sausages are cooked well and also the crunchy bacons. They also have the best chocolate milkshake ever!!! It is like a melted ice cream I seriously did not feel even just a bit of ice in it. 128525128525128525

I should try their waffle next time and also their thin crust pizzas, actually I want to try everything from their menu, you know the feel when you are in a diner and it is like the whole menu is just perfect and you just want to try everything. #mayganonpo

Just dropped by to get a drink. We were just strolling around to find a good place for something quick. I didn't even know yet what the restaurant can offer and when I was skimming on the other reviews today, man I could've had some serious filling! Busy kasi sa new friend haha! Sorry naman. But it was a very artsy place. 60s or 70s vibe, it gives you a vintage American feel.

I caught myself rather staring at the bar. I love the setup. I'm more of a bar person. Those red, circular bar chairs, beer tap, long and curved bar counter with a lot of bottles sitting atop on one side, a barman behind it busy whipping a drink and a few iconic photos on the background wall were really very entertaining to look at, a visually beautiful distraction. I must pay another visit. 128517

Definitely coming back. Love their interiors, authentic vintage vibe and full of interesting displays. 128149128149 Their menu was primarily American but had some Filipino favorite offerings. We had the spicy cheese logs, Filling Station pizza, Sinatra's chicken pesto, and chocolate milkshake (this one I loved). Their milkshake order is big enough to split into two, which to me was a good thing because one glass was huge. Liked their pesto, pizza was okay - food was just fine in general. I'd come back to try the rest of the menu - if not that, then for their interiors. 128513

Now burgos st. At makati has its reputation. Ehem.... but just right in the middle of *establishments with neon signs hide this authentic american diner.
First of all, the ambiance was awesome. Food served american size, and their milkshake to die for. 9786

Love the shake and the pizza. The pasta's kinda bland and dry. 128546 Love the interior!!! There were life-sized figures and lots of wall decors. It was kinda pricey though and the staffs were unattentive. 128564

I recently went to a restobar that has everything going on it I remember it most for its interior than the food. Not sure if it's a good or a bad thing. Filling Station can be found in the so-called Red District in Makati Ave. On why it's called a gas station you have to go upstairs to find out.

First thing that I noticed is Elvis Presley, well a life-size figure of him. But he's not the only celebrity you can find here. At the end of the room you will see another figure, this time a replica of 1950s sexy bombshell, Marilyn Monroe in her famous flying skirt pose. And that's not the Marilyn Monroe there, there are also tons of pictures and posters of her covering the walls.

Then I noticed the vintage fuel pump machines lining up the hall, and that's the only time it made sense to me why it's called The Filling Station. But don't worry that's just the theme, you're not eating gas here hehe...

The fuel pump machines and the celebrity replicas are just two of the many vintage artifacts that are on display here. And they didn't forget to pimp the ceiling. In fact, there are some old bicycles hanging on the ceiling I worried a bit that they'd come loose and fall off or something (thank god they are safely secured up there).

Okay enough about the interior, let's talk about the food. My friends and I shared because food here is pricey. For appetizer we had a deconstructed nachos, which I had fun eating. Because it's deconstructed, it saved the tortilla from being soggy. Eating it is a lot of work though because you have to keep preparing it everytime.

Their Sinatra's Chicken Pesto (PHP398) pasta reminded me why I used to love pesto pasta. It's not swimming in oil but remains flavorful and has generous chunks of chicken. A serving is good for 2.

The Calzone Pizza (428) wasn't a hit. Though it's not something I'd call bad, I wasn't all crazy about it either.

Their Chocolate Milkshake (PHP280) now that's something special. It was creamy, sweet but not intense, I loved it.

I was surprised by one of my friends with a Chocolate Trio cake. The cake is thick, so dark it's almost black, and the icing is so dense it's almost like a soft candy. I liked it too.

The Filling Station has a quite extensive menu. I'd definitely go back to try more. Not anytime soon though because food is very pricey.

Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning and it is my first time here. I didn't know this place is located in a red light district so many creatures are waiting just outside this place. 128111

Ordered their waffle platter and I thought it is okay. Big waffle with 2 sausages and 2 bacons pretty generous with the serving for 250 pesos. Their porkchop is also thick and tasty and tasted good too. Chocolate milkshake is A must try.

They don't have parking here but you can valet your car to the guard beside this resto and just hand him any amount but this is VALET AT YOUR OWN RISK. 128517

We ordered carbonara and buffalo wings. Both tasted bland. A nice place for vintage lovers but if you want good food, go somewhere else.
