Since we wanted something unusual from the routine, me and my girls headed over to this roof deck bar located in Makati. Quite a crowd, considering that we went here on a weekday. It was nice to chitchat and relax while watching the cars being stuck on traffic (Ooops.. sorry 🏻)
The food were all, just okay. Nothing extraordinary, hence the price was just right (i think).. each ranges from 350php up, good for sharing too! We had kare kare, grilled squid, chicken fingers, fish & chips, japchae and quesadilla.. burp!
One thing i did not like here was the service was a bit slow.. will wait for >10min for whatever you requested from your server.. like water, spoon/fork, bill. Despite that, the overall rating was.. 🏻

I fell in love with the view at Encima - the Roof Deck Resto Bar of City Garden Hotel Makati. But when I went to its sibling's roof deck bar, Firefly - City Garden Grand Hotel Makati, I fell in love even more with what it has to offer. Located at the 32nd floor of the hotel, Firefly Bar has a 360 degree view of the Makati Skyline. It's simply breath taking!
Went here for an afternoon of chillin' and relaxation, while sampling their food of course.
We started with Asian Spicy Meatballs. Tasty meatballs in a rich tomato base sauce, with hints of curry. Just the right dish to get us started. Then we had the following--
| Chicken Popcorn - deep fried nuggets of chicken, the dip made this extra special!
| Supremo Pizza - it was loaded with meat and veggies but I found this just okay. It wasn't bad but not wow as well.
| Miso Teriyaki - my favorite during our visit! Tender chunks of chicken with nutty flavor from the sesame seeds and a lip smacking teriyaki sauce that was on the sweet side! I ate a lot of this! LOL
| Classic American Burger - OMG HUGE BURGER that's definitely for sharing! All beef patty, sesame bun, crisp lettuce, cheddar cheese, eggs and lots of BACON!!! Absolutely good but should be consumed right away to get all the juices from the meat!
For cocktails, we tried the following:
| Dalandan Sangria, Kamias Mojito, Guyabano Margarita, Mangosteen with Mint and Honey! We requested for a lesser portion of alcohol in each so that we can enjoy the refreshing summer fruit flavors. Kamias Mojito and the Guyabano Margarita were my favorites!
Such an awesome place to chill after a hard day's work. It was windy there despite the summer heat and the view gets even more amazing at night!
