Since I was able to enjoy Kettle's Chicken, I decided to give Fireside by Kettle a chance.

Interiors are okay but the place was so small.

Chicken Tenders : Of course I ordered chicken! Same as Kettle's chicken, Fireside's chicken is sooo great. Drizzle it with honey and gravy and you would definitely love it!!! Chicken's crispy and tasty outside yet juicy and tender inside. It makes it even more perfect with their delicious gravy and honey combo. Corn muffins on the side are super yummy as well. I love having their corn muffins with gravy and honey as well.

Meatloaf : WARNING. This is not your ordinary meatloaf. It's 50% angus beef and 50% bacon, sooooo yummy. With or without its sauce, it's a winner!!! Love it so much that I forgot what the side dish tastes like. Haha.

Truffled Potato Chips : This is a definite must try. My friends and I were able to finish 2 plates of these. Crispy thin potato chips generously drizzled with that super yummy sauce. Truffle makes everything extra delicious, isn't? 128523

Friendly and accommodating staff

A bit pricey but serving size is quite big so I guess it's fine.

Did I enjoy it? - YES
Would I recommend it? - YES
Will I come back? - YES

I still like Fireside, the more casual counterpart of Kettle. Serving American style dishes, we find things like ribs and burgers on the menu. Exactly what my fiancé was looking for that Saturday afternoon.

We found ourselves seated at the laid back restaurant, contemplating our orders. We were thinking of going healthy with a salad, but we faced the music and finally ordered the truffled potato chips... With a generous drizzle of blue cheese sauce on top, this is one of the handful of blue cheese dishes my fiance enjoys. I think it's a good introductory dish for people who are hesitant to try stinky cheeses.

We also ordered the buttermilk chicken fingers, which is just delicious. A bit heavy with the savory breading but still so addicting; add a touch of gravy and honey, it keeps the dish from being too heavy. We didn't like their chori burger, so we decided to try the 50/50 meatloaf... Good move because we both loved it! Using a blend of ground bacon and ground Angus beef, then topped with barbecue sauce, the meat loaf was definitely one of the best dishes on their menu! Must try for sure! Not to be outdone, their garlic mashed potato was so smooth; definitely loved the texture! We were both pretty full after, enjoying all of our orders...

With all the good words that Fireside is getting, I am not sure why I only tried it last week. The truffle potato chips was really good, I love the blue cheese sauce. I couldn't stop myself from eating this! The buttermilk fried chicken fingers were delish, this is their bestseller. Plus the 50/50 meatloaf was as good with the duo power of bacon and angus beef. The servings were huge, too.

A month or two ago, when we finally came back to Manila, Fireside was the first restaurant I dined in. At the time, I was all hyped up to go as I've been wanting to try it out for some time now. It came as a surprise that on a weekday, the place was packed! Luckily, we manged to nab a seat inside, as I really didn't want to sit outside as that day, it was really hot.

For a party of three, I think we ordered a lot more than we should. But, y'know, if the food is good.. Well, you just can't help it, ya feel me? (lolololol 128022128022 feels)

We ordered...
-Asian shrimp salad: Looks healthy! Not fond of salad, so of course I steered clear it, but my mom and co. enjoyed it!

-Buttermilk chicken fingers: These were good. Like really good. Now I firsthand know why people rave about it. Bonus points that these came as chicken fingers, so no pesky bones to get in the way of all the yummies. Didn't really like the cornbread doughnuts (which I thought were potato balls at first. D'oh!) that came with it as it was too sweet for my liking.

-Double cut pork chop: As we are silly people, we thought at first that there'd be, literally, two pork chops. So we were surprised when this dish was served. We went '!!!! Steak?? Who ordered steak??', for a few moments until we asked our server what the dish was and she confirmed that it was our pork chop. Ah. After the initial confusion came immediate acceptance and we devoured the pork chop - happy end. lolol we did really liked it though. At first, the size was intimidating and it made me worry that with how thickly cut it was, it'd be hard to chew or something but my worries came to nothing as it was easy to do so. Their pork chop is juicy and you can really taste the flavors of both apple and the cider brine that they put the pork chop in. I think aside from their buttermilk chicken, this should also be considered as a must-order! 128513

-Grilled chicken and broccoli alfredo: It was good, but it's not really anything special.

-Fireside house burger: When the burger was served, I was already too stuffed to even attempt to consume this one. But attempt it I did. We had it halved into 4 pieces, and though we requested the burger to be well done, it still seemed a little pink in the center. Took just a teeny tiny piece to try it out and I found the patty to be a bit bland for my liking. Verdict: just order burger from someplace else.

-Homemade smores: It was the perfect way to cap off an awesome lunch. Though for me, after I finished off a biscuit with some of the chocolate slathered on it and a smore, the sweetness of it all kicked in and I've had enough haha.

Service was great. They were really attentive and our orders came at our table at an orderly and timely manner.

Ambiance was nice too, and I spotted that they had a restroom, though didn't get to try it out haha.

So right after trying out Raclette, we still had to eat a proper meal for dinner. They had already decided on Fireside by Kettle before I asked. 128514 They were craving for the buttermilk fried chicken of Kettle. To be honest, I haven't tried it before and I've been looking forward to getting to try it.

I've seen photos of the tower of truffled fries of Kettle and it's got my interest so we decided to get the potato chips version here at Fireside. It had blue cheese! It didn't look as photogenic as the tower of fries though. Haha! I enjoyed the crispy potato chips and the hint of truffle oil. To me, this wasn't a wow but it was good.

THEY WERE NOT BLUFFING WHEN THEY SAID THIS WAS REALLY GOOD!! Hahaha. Yeah, all caps for the intensity! I'm quite the picky eater... I like my chicken juicy, and this was very very juicy! 128077🏼 The buttermilk breading was crispy and not very thick. Careful with the gravy as it can be very salty if you put too much.

50/50 MEATLOAF • Php 389
50% ground bacon and 50% ground beef made into a meat loaf. Not bad. My first thought was, "How do you ground bacon?" 128528 There was a lapse in my brain hahahaha! The actual dish was okay, it wasn't a wow. It tasted more like a burger patty than a meat loaf. The barbeque sauce it came with made it taste even more like a burger patty! Hahaha! The redeeming factor of this dish is the SUPER CREAMY MASHED POTATOES. 10084️ La-la-loved it!!

Service was quite good. They were initially giving us a table inside but since I was feeling cold (not really feeling all that great so I've been extra sensitive to cold), I asked if we could be seated outside since it wasn't that hot out anyway. 128556 The lighting was good from a certain angle but shadows. 128547

It has been a long while now since I wanted to eat at the Fireside by Kettle. The first branch that I saw was located at the exterior of Eastwood Mall and the other one is located at SM Megamall's Fashion Hall.

The restaurant's look was similar with each other, wherever branch it may be. The interiors were mostly a combination of colors black, red and brown. I loved how their ceiling decors gave the place a classy but still welcoming and inviting look that will attract different kinds of people. The black lamps gave it a unique character that's nice in every way.

The furnitures were a mixture of organic looking tables and chairs, nicely crafted tables and couches that made the place looked so cool and comforting for those who wanna hang-out for a long while and just chill at the place.

Their menu has a lot to offer -- from breakfast items like sandwiches to salads to mains including chicken, pork and beef plus a variety of pastas and desserts and drinks that will make it hard for you to choose which one to eat.

As we were not that hungry, we ordered meals for sharing which included the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Fingers with Cornbread Doughnuts, Fireside's 50/50 Meat Loaf (beef and bacon) and for dessert, we got the Banana Creme Brulee.

The Buttermilk Fried Chicken Fingers were served nicely and generously. I loved how it was visually presented. The large slices chicken fingers were placed one after the other and under them were the cornbread doughnuts that looked really cute. The chicken fingers were huge and were really good for sharing. The outside was crispy and crunchy, while the white meat was tender and really juicy. I loved how everything went well together with their gravy. The cornbread doughnuts were circular in shape, dark brown and once you sliced them into two, you will see how soft and filled it was. I loved the syrup paired with it.

The 50/50 Meat Loaf was huge and it came with a serving of milky and creamy mashed potatoes. The loaf tasted ordinary though? I was not able to taste the bacon in it, mostly meat and I got to appreciate it when I poured some sauce into it and actually combined the potatoes with it.

The Banana Creme Brulee was nothing too unique too. The bananas tasted fresh and the brulee was not that sweet so it was just fine for me.

Overall, the experience was nice as the servers were all accommodating and attentive in attending to all our concerns. I would like to come back here to try more of their sandwiches and steaks.

I have always loved Kettle's buttermilk fried chicken so when I heard that Fireside (by Kettle) has a chicken fingers version of this, I just had to go and try it.

The place was bright and has nice relaxing feeling to it. Servers were polite and welcoming 128515

Fireside's famous BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN FINGERS [P489] has become a staple dish for us. The chicken fingers were brined for 24 hours, has Cajun Ritz breading, homestyle gravy, honey, and cornbread doughnuts. I love how they mastered frying chicken. 128036 I actually prefer this over the original version of Kettle because it was easier to eat. The breading was crisp and the chicken itself was tender and juicy. 128069 As a person who has tried so many chicken fingers, I know that they can be easily overcooked because it's smaller size. (Yay for Fireside!) Even the cornbread doughnuts were better. I liked how it wasn't dry and fried and how it goes so well with the chicken. Two thumbs up! 128077🏻128077🏻

50/50 MEAT LOAF [P389] - 50-50 ground bacon and ground angus beef, barbeque sauce, and garlic mashed potatoes. Their meatloaf was so simple yet flavorful because it was seasoned properly. It went so well with the CREAMY mashed potatoes. I'm a sucker for super creamy mashed potatoes 128514Anyway, this deserves another thumbs up! 128077🏻

The price may appear expensive but I think it's worth the money. The serving size of most dishes are good for at least two people and the flavors are great anyway. During my last visit, there was only two of us so we weren't able to order much so will definitely be back to try their other dishes!

Ever since they opened in Megamall, I have always wanted to eat here. Last year, we were able to try Kettle and I loved the Buttermilk Chicken. A lot of reviews were saying that Fireside's better. Which is why I have to try it (hopefully, soon!). I was so excited when they finally opened a branch nearer and it's just in Rockwell!!! But as usual, I was not able to try it right away. 128532 BGC and Makati is just near each other, but Rockwell is not a really easy place to go to (for us), I have to find/give reasons for us to visit this place. Really valid ones. 128533 Luckily, my aunt from Cebu is here in MNL for the weekend. And whenever she's here, it's automatic that we go out for dinner. FINALLY!!! 128513128525127881128588🏼 Found the perfect valid reason to eat here.

This is located outside of the mall. Same area as Mamou and Kuretake. The place is small. Around 8-10 tables inside and a good number of tables outside. But surprisingly, it can fit a lot of people inside. Also, since they're not located inside the mall, they're open even when the mall is closed already. You can still stay even after 10pm. 128077🏼

Anyway, I like how simple yet interesting and nice the place was designed. It's like you're in your house with a fireplace (there wasn't really a fireplace but there were some woods, though. 128517). The place is relaxing and comforting. Perfect for family lunch/dinners.

Without even looking at the menu, I ordered the Buttermilk Chicken and Caesar Salad right away. Then for the rest, had to check the reviews and their IG account for the other must try dishes. I was torn if we'll get the Mac & Cheese or not because of the mixed reviews. Some were saying that it wasn't worth it and the size is too small while some were saying that it's good and one of the best mac & cheese they've tried. 128555128563 But the only way to know if it's worth it or not is to try it, right? So we did! And then we also ordered the potato chips because again, according to reviews, it's addicting!!!!

Service was not fast but was not super slow. I think we waited around 20 minutes. Good thing, we were not that hungry yet.

First served was the TRUFFLED POTATO CHIPS. Blue Cheese Sauce, Green Onions (199). We enjoyed eating this one while we're waiting for the rest of our orders. This is not just like your usually everyday chips. Because these are your potato chips made even better with the addition of truffle and blue cheese sauce. It's not super super good but it was addicting that you won't be contented just by trying/tasting a few. You have to get a lot. 128513128521

Next served was the CEASAR SALAD. Romaine, Iceberg Lettuce, Bacon Slab (Platter 389; Plate 219). I have seen a lot of good pictures and have read positive reviews about this salad. It's a salad but with a huge thick bacon slab. I repeat, THICK BACON SLAB. The addition of the bacon makes me wonder if this should be under the salad options or as a main dish because look at that BACON + THICK FAT!! This is just the small size but OMG!!!! The salad was just ordinary, your usual Ceasar salad -- lettuce with croutons and ceasar dressing but what made this salad extraordinary is yup, the BACON. It's like christmas ham but better because duh, Bacon!! It was sweet and not too salty. If you don't like veggies that much, this is a good salad choice. But I have an even better news for you! You can order just the bacon slab!! Awesome, right? Right!!!! 128521128588🏼

SMOKED MAC & CHEESE. Bacon Chunks (209).
Least favorite. Nothing really special. Meh. 128530

BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN FINGERS. 24hr brined, Cajun Ritz Breading, Home Style Gravy, Corn Bread Doughnuts (489). OMG. This was so good. Why only now????? I feel bad for trying this just now but at least I was already able to try it. 128518 Served on a wooden board with doughnut holes, gravy and honey. We were surprised with the big serving size. There were I think 6 chicken tenders and 6 doughnut holes. Very sulit na for almost 500 pesos. 128077🏼 The chicken was amazing! Crispylicious! Juicylicious!! 128525 It was so juicy and oh so tender. Pairs really well with the gravy. But even without the gravy and/or the honey, it was already good on it's own. The breading was tasty, crispy and not too thick. It was not salty, too. And the corn bread doughnuts. I was surprised I was able to eat 2 pcs. It's so yummy. Loved adding honey but just like the chicken, it's already good on it's own! 128155

I now understand why a lot of people are ordering this. You should order this, as well. Definitely a must try!! 128076🏼

APPLE CARAMEL BUNDT CAKE. Maple Cream Cheese Glaze (199). Complimentary dessert because we are also celebrating my aunt's birthday. While ordering, I asked which dessert would they recommend and if they can add a happy birthday note. It was nice that they offer to just give this as a free dessert. 128513128077🏼 This was just okay, though. Chocolate brownie-like cake with Vanilla Ice Cream, Whipped Cream and Maple Cream Cheese Glaze. The cake was not moist but not super dry. It was kind of "heavy". The ice cream was good, though. 128517128523

Service was excellent. Really. 128513128076🏼 The staffs were all very accommodating, helpful and mostly, friendly. We were asking too many questions and requesting for a lot of things but they were all ready and happy to serve and help us with whatever our concern was. 128077🏼

It was a really happy fun awesome filling amazing dinner. I can't even. 1285131285189786️ We were all full but oh so happy!! We loved the chicken and I am still dreaming about it till now. Crispylicious and juicylicious!!!! Ang sarap, nakakaiyak!!! 128525 I may be late but at least I was finally able to try this place out. 128513128588🏼

And this is one of the restaurants that we feel very happy about, walang bahid ng pagsisisi at panghihinayang, mainly because of the good customer service, the yummy and delicious food, the oh so generous serving size (except for the pasta) and for it's affordability. Super value for money! 128076🏼

PS: Best to call for reservation. But do note that they don't accept reservation on weekends. Enjoy!!! 128513

Over ordered with my mom... Got the mixed salad platter, grilled halibut, and of course, the buttermilk fried chicken! We were so overwhelmed with the serving sizes but at least we're able to take the goodness that is their fried chicken home hehe.

Everything was great, but the standout was the chicken!!!! The chicken and the cornbread taste sooo sinful that I wanted to hit myself for even thinking of ordering it, but no regrets. My chicken-filled belly is satisfied and happy. 128525

Although, I do prefer Kettle's version (with the bones). Juicer meat, less skin hehe.

After 3 attempts to dine at this resto on a Sunday, we finally made it. There was a queue outside waiting to be seated but the wait was all pleasant as the friendly lady staff made sure we were seated comfortably with a blower keeping us cool while we waited outside.

Had the BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN FINGERS. It was so good! Crispy on the outside and really juicy chicken in the inside. Loved the gravy, too. The cornbread donut balls that went with the chicken was a unique experience. Served with honey, a drizzle on every piece of this chunky doughnut made it more delicious! The huge serving of this dish is enough for 3 people to share but if you're really hungry (like we were), it is no challenge for 2 hungry people to finish.

Coming back soon Fireside!

A big YES to the Fried Chicken Fingers! Yum yum! Service was super nice too. They offered extra gravy and honey when they saw that I finished mine already hehe I would prefer a different texture of the doughnuts tho - I would want it lighter or if not, more moist.

The most ordered item on their menu would be the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Fingers, which is perfectly paired with cornbread doughnuts and honey.

It can fill up 3 to 4 tummies. 128513
