Fish & Chips is a first here in Baguio. Yes, restaurants sell this classic favorite, but to have it as a forefront dish is new. Fish & Chips claims their main entrée is made London style, but since I haven't yet had a pleasure to visit London, I wouldn't know the authenticity of it.

Fish & Chips offers a very filling serving consisting of your choice of 1, or 2 large pieces of battered fish and wedges of potatoes. The deep fried battered fish is cooked until golden brown with a very crunchy outside, yet moist in the inside. The potatoes, too are deep fried that gives the same consistency as the fish. It comes with your choice of 4 different kinds of sauces (which are actually salad dressings).

Although I enjoyed their food, I feel the execution of the fish could be better. I felt that the fish was overcooked. When biting into the fish, it had a mushy consistency. It seems either the fish was fried while it was frozen, or it wasn't patted dry before dipping it into the batter. But even with the slight complaint regarding the fish, it was very well seasoned and delicious.

I believe it would be an easy fix on their part when preparing the fish. Once fixed, I am very sure Fish & Chips would make a great addition to a growing food community in Baguio City.

Happy Eating!!!
