Been to this Italian resto several times and it never fails to please me and fill my tummy. The Pizza rolls are great and with a hefty serving of arugula and alfalfa, it is absolutely delicious!

I've tried the salmon, chicken pancetta, and oh, the trio of soup served in sample sized cups are so good, I'll order them every time I'm here. If there's any place that serves you a taste of Italy at very reasonable prices in Manila, Focaccia is definitely one of them.

Whatever it is you decide to eat in Focaccia, you should always leave room for Fog City Ice Cream! This is home made ice cream at its best! The owner has a huge passion in bringing only the best and freshest ingredients into her creations, you almost feel they were made specially for you. I enjoyed the ice cream so much, I ordered 10 pints of her
most premium flavors. If you only have room for one flavor, get the Vanilla Malt.

Got a mini panizza and steak and red wine sauce. I forgot what panizza I got but it got real oily quick so not my thing. I did very much like the steak. At around P300 it's priced ok. It won't fill you up though.

It was a really hot afternoon so we wanted to get bottomless drinks. We headed to Focaccia, however they only have single-serve drinks. Despite that, we decided to try the food here and just order cold drinks to cool us down.

We ordered the calamari fritti to start us off. The calamari rings were soft and the breading was just right. The dip (I honestly am not sure what it was) was okay taste-wise. Texture-wise, I think it was a little too thin to be a dip.

We decided to forego the pasta, but the alfredo looked good. If it were not for this wedding we are to attend in less than a month's time, we probably would have had this food as well.

Jaf looooves Osso Bucco and as soon as I spotted it on the menu, I knew he would order it. It came with fettucine, and the serving is good for two. The meat was tender, and the overall taste was great, a little on the tangy side.

We ordered the Tuscano pizza rolls (anchovies, mushrooms, onions). Because the crust was extremely thin, the family size serving was just enough for us three. It was cut into thin strips and there was probably one anchovy per strip. There were more onions than anchovies, so the onion flavor overpowered the anchovies' saltiness. The platter of alfalfa that they served wasn't enough so we asked for another platter, and they willingly obliged.

The focaccia bread that we were served after ordering failed to live up to the resto's name. It was breaking apart, and it was reaaaalllly dry.

Place's ambience was nice. Service was great. Price was great as well. As an added bonus, we get to donate to the typhoon victims because they will give 20% of today's profits to Red Cross. 128516

My family is a huge fan of Italian cuisine and we have high expectations for pizza and pasta. Focaccia passed the test! We loves the pizza rolls - 4 cheese, Slice of Italy, and Pesto. The Bolognese Pasta was good, though the serving portion seemed little. The Ratatouille Pasta was a surprise - it tasted really good and the kiddos loved it. :) Service was great. My brother was treated to a free rum cake just because I asked if they gave free cakes - the waitress said no, but the head waiter (I think) gave us a free one. The place was a bit small, though the ambiance was okay. I will definitely go back! :)

Try this if your craving for a flat oven baked pizza! Include the "Slice of Italy" on your order list and you will never regret it. Tried Uncle Cheffy's but there's definitely a battle in between after trying Focaccia.

Over all the resto is likeable. I was satisfied with their pizza rollo and osso buco. The pizza rollo though i just find too thin that i can devour the roll in just one bite. Price is reasonable; the place is a bit small but appealing.
My only regret though is that ive first took the plunge of this type of menu at My Kitchen in Paco, Manila and C Kitchen in Angeles, Pampanga. Compared to the latter two, focaccia fairs last. Nonetheless, focaccia is still satisfactory.

23 different flavors of Pazzo Rollio (pizza rolls), 4 flavors of Tarte Flambee (pizza crepes), artisinal homemade ice cream, awesome Eggplant Parmesiana, and other delicious Italian offerings at an affordable price from Focaccia, A Slice of Italy.

Focaccia is located at the A-Venue Events Mall. The restaurant is a small yet nicely modern looking place. It does not give any hint that it is an Italian restaurant. An interesting art-graffiti wall adorns one side of their wall. Carla Bruni sings her soulful french selections through their piped in music. Nothing Italian on first impression, except for the name of the place.

Their menu is quite extensive. Food offerings range from Anti Pasti, Pizzas, Pastas, Main Courses, Desserts, and beverages. I like the fact that the menu includes a short description of each dish. Their best sellers have photos intermixed with nice snapshots of Italian landmarks and sceneries. Also included are some nice food related quotes from popular people (my favorite being that of Bernard Shaw: "There is no sincere love than the love of food").

This visit, i decided to to get their Gorgonzola Pazzo Rollio , the Eggplant Parmesiana (which was one of their house specialties), and their Watermelon Shake.

Gorgonzola Pizza Roll: They offer two sizes--mini and family. I ordered the mini. It was huge enough to feed 2 people with normal appetites. For the price of 300 bucks---twas a good deal. The pizza was topped with a generous serving of melted gooey, sharp, tangy, salty, gorgonzola (Italian Bleu Cheese which I love), sundried tomato slices and fresh tomato slices. The crust was thin and a bit doughy. Good enough to roll and hold the veggies. Tastewise?it tasted yummy but I still prefer the pizza roll of Chef Cris' /C' Italian. But for the price and the different flavors to choose from, Focaccia is a good affordable alternative.

Freshly baked focaccia bread and an olive oil-balsamic vinegar dip was served with the Eggplant Parmesiana. Good crusty warm bread with a slightly spongy middle.

The Eggplant dish was so good! I immensely loved the eggplant slices, the pomodoro sauce, and the rich melted , gooey mozarella cheese that topped the dish. The dish was tangy, slightly sweet, robust, and very flavorful. Definitely one of the best tasting Eggplant Parmesianas that I have tasted. For 290 bucks, serving was huge and can easily be shared by 2-3 people. Highly recommended!

The Fresh Watermelon shake was sweet and refreshing. Nothing spectacular, but it went quite nicely with the dishes that I ate.

Service though has a bit to be desired. Staff were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable of the menu. But, i think they should be more attentive to their customers. They forgot to offer dining plates and water. I had to ask them twice for these. Odd, the restaurant was half filled. The servers seemed busy hunched over some papers and forms near the cashier instead of looking over the diners.

I would have given this place three stars. But their Eggplant Parmesiana was a winner by my standards. So four stars.

Will definitely come back for their awesome Eggplant dish. Im also intrigued with their Tarte Flambee (I've been eyeing the Fig , Prosciutto , and Caramelized Onion flavor) and their other dishes.

If you enjoy Pizza Rolls, this is surely a good and affordable place to visit.

Highly recommended is their Eggplant Parmesiana . Quite honestly, it was this dish that truly stood out on this visit.
