Expensive! Paid 1,700 for this. It didn't even wow me. What a rip off!

Heard this is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant offering traditional Fook yuen chinese cuisine at very affordable prices & been in banawe for decades. The restaurant was apparently well-known for the Crab in Sotanghon ... But sotanghon is a no no for my still non normal functioning tummy....

My sweet lovable Aunt decided to order the salt & peppered deep fried...Their crabs are fat and cooked just right, quality was excellent, delectable crab fat was oozing out. This was to be avoided if one was watching one's health, like I care a bit & so I savored every morsel of the firm off the shell meat & all it's crab fatness ... scrumptious dish... Yummmmy much

The tempura on stick are huge & tasty... I can imagine it must have tasted amazing when eaten right after being served ... Coz prawns toughen up when cold.

Noodle was tasty but average

Fish tofu was typical .. Nothing fancy to rave about ... But mom said I need to eat fish... Oh well 128055128055

Tong tong tong tong pakitong kitong alimango sa Fook Yuen, malaki at malaman masarap kainin pag meron sotanghon.
In case you don't know this song (changed the lyrics a bit) don't be sad. You probably were not born yet when this was being played in Batibot ha ha.
Seriously, Fook Yuen, located also in Banawe is known for its crabs like this one we ordered, Crab Sotanghon, one of its house specialty. They show you the crab while still alive and come back after a few minutes with it in bowl with creamy sotanghon soup. A bit expensive though but worth the price.
We also ordered their fried frog legs with salt and pepper and it was the best tasting frog legs for me so far.
Will definitely go back and try their other house specialty.

This is an old Chinese restaurant famous for their crabs. We always eat here when we feel like eating something filling and cheap.

SPINACH SOUP
Their soup has improved since the last time I had it. It wasn't bitter anymore, and it tasted almost like Causeway's!

YANG ZHOU FRIED RICE
This is just like some ordinary fried rice with asado bits and eggs.

BUTTERED CHICKEN
One of their signature dishes! Fried chicken cooked in butter with lots of garlic! I like this but too much butter makes me feel bad (all the time).

FRIED CHICKEN IN A1 SAUCE
This is my super favorite from this restaurant! Fried chicken cooked in sweet-and-sour-like sauce! Super yummy!

BIRTHDAY NOODLES
At first bite, it is really good. But as you get close to finishing it, it gets really really salty.
