Comfort food when in Baguio although pricier than the average. Parking can be a challenge though.

The place had a nice rustic ambiance. Very homey and chill. We were seated at the balcony/outside which had an awesome view of Baguio. 10024 We had 3 orders of the Family Bundle something meal. Main corse was fish, grilled liempo and squid, bagnet and kare kare (not in the photo) plus a lot of steamed veggies. Every bite was delicious and sulit. 1 of the 3 Family Bundle included unli rice platter which made everything more sulit since the 13 of us shared the unli rice. Hahahaha. They said it was okay so everybody went all out for the rice. Each bundle also had 4 desserts included. From the main course to the dessert, ang sarap lahat. Umaapaw ng pagkain but turns out each of us shared only not more than 350 pesos. An ala carte order would cost 300-400 pesos so I suggest if you would come in a large group, order the bundle meals. It will make your life easier and cheaper.

If you're ever in Baguio City, make sure you include Forest House on your list of must-eat places. It's not just about the food, it's the ambience too! I guarantee you that every corner is Looloo-worthy. I love the Christmas in a rustic, log cabin concept and the fireplace - perfect for a chilly December evening in Baguio. Make sure to try the Forest House Bouillabaise (this soup is the bomb!), Baby Back Ribs, their salad with fresh garden greens, and their desserts. Their cakes are to die for! You can also dine al fresco if you want a good view of the city while having dinner. It can be a romantic spot too! Call them up first for reservations especially during peak season. This can be a better way to spend the yuletide season with your family or loved ones over a perfect dinner, wine, and some good ol' family christmas stories.

excellent Filipino classic bagnet , dinuguan, , lengua and classic carbonara for kids. Good coffee choice and dessert - blend of excellent choice robustq and arabica beans, roasted and served fresh.

A very posh restaurant in Session Road raved for its ambience. The restaurant has a very classy vibe. I felt that it is Christmas already as soon as I stepped the door, because of the Baguio weather and the restaurant's interior. You can opt to dine inside the restaurant or at the back (where the picture has been taken) if you are loving the sun and air in Baguio.

Food is just okay. We ordered Chicken in Wine and Lamb Caldereta, and it was served 1st class! Waiters are also very accomodating and smiling all the time.

Their pesto wasn't bad at all! I highly recommend that and their black and white chocolate torte for dessert. It's not too sweet and its texture is soft and jelly like. Skip the salad with 3 dips. It's expensive (P420) for its taste and ingredients.

Would have given them 5 stars had the Lengua Con Setas we ordered was tender. Our salpicao and bagnet sisig were perfect though.

Serving was quite substantial. We had the inihaw set menu since we were a group. For the price of P1495, serving was indeed enough for 4; price is inclusive of 4 soups and 4 substantially sized dessert. The seafood and grilled liempo were all cooked pretty well. We also had their house special bagnet (a Must) and salpicao. Overall, everything tasted pretty good. Cant say the same though with their service. The staff was pleasant but needs to be quicker on their feet, pay more attention on the floor and try to be better at anticipating the needs of the guests.

Before my trip to Baguio this past weekend, the last time I was there was December 2006 and I remember eating at Forest House back then. It was relatively new at the time, but it had a great ambience with an awesome view plus good food. As I had great memories of the place plus several friends who had been to Baguio recently recommended Forest House as well, I decided to have lunch here. During that lunch, I really wished I had given this place a miss (or bothered to read the recent reviews here on Looloo which said to give the steak a miss and order the Bagnet instead).

My dad ordered the steak, while my mom ordered some chicken dish (I forgot what it's called). I vacillated between the binagoongan and the carbonara; in the end I ordered the carbonara. Big big mistake. :(

The steak was pretty tough and ma-litid, so that totally ruined the enjoyment for my dad. Then again, given the price (less than 1k) I suppose the poor meat quality is to be expected. But after hearing so many friends say the steak here is great, we were really disappointed to find it otherwise. My mom's chicken likewise was nothing to brag about - the meat was dry and tough, probably overcooked. My carbonara was probably the nicest of the 3 dishes, but even this wasn't memorable. The ham they use is the cheap kind, and the sauce was more buttery in taste than creamy. The bread that came with it had pesto spread on it, but I barely tasted it. :(

Admittedly, the view is still wonderful and the ambience is still the same. So if you want a place with a nice view and don't mind eating subpar food, then this is the place to go.

Heard that the steaks here and generally the food were good so we tried it.

The seafood soup served in bread was pretty good.

The mixed sausages were cooked in onions that gave it more flavor. It was pretty good too but not that spectacular for me. I would not order it again. It was okay.

The Australian fillet mignon was so rubbery. Meat was so hard we could not chew it well and we had trouble swallowing it. It was like chewing a slab of concrete. No matter how many times we chewed it we still had difficulty swallowing it. It seemed like they also did not thaw the meat properly before cooking it. Our throat and jaws literally hurt from trying to eat it. We just ate half of it as we could not bring ourselves to finish eating it. Bleach.

The Australian Salpicado also had the same problem. I had a hard time chewing it. It made may jaw hurt, I didn't even finish eating it anymore. I guess we ordered the wrong food. Heard of and read about raving reviews about this place. I don't get it though. The salpicado's serving was so small. There were very few pieces of meat on top of lots of rice.

Our total bill for the foregoing was Php2025.00. Very expensive for not good food. The service was excellent though. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating.

I recommend their mushroom soup, so creamy and bursting with flavor. All in all we had a nice lunch here. No wonder this is always included in where to eat lists in Baguio.

( ̄□ ̄;)What happened Forest House? I always come here for the baby back ribs but it's not consistent! You had 4 versions that I tried. This is your worst version. It's like you marinated this in banana ketchup. The meat wasnt even tender.

The only good food in our order was the pork spareribs the rest was overcooked and hard to chew (chops in apple sauce, chops with mushroom). I'd probably let this pass if the place was crowded but there only like 4 tables occupied.

I am very disappointed because I love this place. Ive been eating here since 2009 and rarely disappointed like this. So angrysad. 128548128557
