When we go home to my parents house in Tarlac, we usually take the whole family out to dinner. We usually go to restaurants that are available in Manila but just this weekend, I decided to explore local places.

When in Tarlac City.... and you're craving for Chinese Food, try and visit Fortune Seafood Restaurant. You won't miss it. It's just along the hi-way.

We brought our big extended family there for hubby's birthday treat. The staff were attentive and assisted us all the way. They even suggested what we can order. We got this set meal with soup, 4 main dishes, pancit, fried rice and buchi. It was good for 12 pax and was sulit for the price of 4300php more or less. They'll allow you to choose other viand in case you don't like what was in the set. The staff also suggested to split each order into two servings for easy consumption since we were a big group!

Each food served was good - tasty with generous heaping of each ingredient. We got chicken and corn soup, sweet and sour lapu lapu, salt and pepper spare ribs, lumpiang shanghai, fried chicken, pancit canton, YangChow fried rice and buchi. But I noticed that there was too much MSG, as expected from Chinese Restaurants. Made me feel dizzy after.

Though the service was superb, I felt betrayed when they didn't tell us that they charge extra for hot towels. We didn't ask for them, they just handed them out. And when it was time to pay, we were charged 5php for each towel! What was that?!? It was unfair.

We were able to take home some of the ordered food since there was quite a lot for each serving. All smiles, we all got our tummies more than filled!
