Nah....shabu-shabu wise, this place is not as good as King One Rotary or Gloriamaris Greenhills.

Born in a Chinese family, it’s a given that we love eating hot pots. So it was no surprise that our happiness levels reached the maximum when we heard a new hot buffet has opened in the area. The only restaurant I knew that served unlimited shabu shabu was King One. So expect comparisons in this review.

PLACE
Four Seasons Hotpot City was created by the same group that brought Vikings. The restaurant offers a very wide variety of food. The stations are readily accessible by the customers just as how a normal buffet would look like. While in King One, you will be provided with a sheet of paper where you can order and the food will be served by the waiters. Personally, I prefer Four Seasons’ since you can get as much or as few as you like. Also, there’s no waiting time from the kitchen to your table since you would be personally go and “shop” your ingredients. So unleash your inner chef, handpick your ingredients from the abundant pantry and cook (and eat) like there’s no tomorrow!

Most tables here are good for four people. But they have some tables that can accommodate up to six while others for two. These types of tables have one big pot to share with everyone. They also have two VIP rooms available for very big groups, up to 24 persons per room. I do like the rooms since the table itself is an induction cooker so everyone gets an individual pot and stove.

The place looks very clean and upscale. It has glass walls that enables the natural light to come in which makes the whole restaurant very bright and easy on the eyes. Love it! 128149

STATIONS/ FOOD SELECTIONS
127843 SALAD & APPETIZER
Pre-made salad is available for those who like the pre-mixed ones but separate ingredients are available as well for those who want to construct their own. Other appetizers such as maki rolls, Korean side dishes, etc, are also offered.

127836 NOODLES
Sotanghon, Hong Kong style egg noodles, udon, flavored noodles (spinach, spicy, squid ink), instant ramen. Take your pick.

127845 MEAT BALLS • TOFU
Meat balls made from different types of protein:
chicken • pork • beef • fish •squid • scallop • mushrooms • veggies • etc.

128046 MEAT
Huge selection of protein here. But for us, we usually get the beef short plate. They also have a lot “laman loob” dishes available for those interested. Do note that the beef slices need to be ordered at the station. Just give your table number and they will have it delivered to your table.

🦀 SEAFOOD
Fish • clams • shrimp • crab • oyster • shellfish • crab meat
Beware of leaving seafood in your pot for too long as the soup will absorb all the seafood flavors in your broth. But if you love it, go ahead and indulge! Their pots are split into two anyway so you can have the meat and seafood cooked separately.

127811 VEGETABLES
Several veggies are available from their walls. Spinach, kangkong, watercress are usually good options for hotpot. But my personal favorites are their sweet corn.

127867 DRINKS
Wide variety of juices and flavored lemonades are available. But guess what, they have PEARL MILK TEA!! Plus it’s very good as the tea flavor is quite strong and the pearls are cooked just right – not too hard and not too mushy. Coffee, draft beer, softdrinks, iced milo and Twinings tea are also offered here.

127857 COOKED DISHES
These are ready cooked dishes available if your interested. Although we rarely get anything here since we did come for the hotpot.

127860 PREMIUM STATION
Teppanyaki • Crispy pata • Roast beef
Need I say more? Yum! 128069

127851 DESSERTS
Cakes • fruits • chocolate fountain • doughnuts • Filipino delicacies • mousse • etc

127858 SOUP
Pork • Chicken • Fish • Sinigang • Sukiyaki • sate • etc. We always go for the Sate soup because that's how we Chinese people like it! 128149

It's always a pleasure when dining here. Til our next visit!

128680 NOTE
Many people celebrate their birthday here since they offer a birthday promo wherein a person can dine for free under these conditions:
★ if on the day of your birthday, you need to be accompanied by ONE full paying adult
★ if within your birth month, you need to be accompanied by THREE full paying adults
★ a valid government ID with the birth date should be presented

To celebrate my dad's birthday this October, he decided to have lunch together with some of his friends too. Four Seasons has a birthday promo wherein a person can dine for free under these conditions:
★ if on the day of your birthday, you need to be accompanied by ONE full paying adults
★ if within your birth month, you need to be accompanied by THREE full paying adults
★ a valid government ID with the birth date should be presented

Our family loves to eat shabu-shabu. When Four Seasons first opened, we were so excited because it was a buffet!! 128525 #pigout

Four Seasons Hotpot City was created by the same group that brought us Vikings. What I love about Four Seasons is the wide variety of food they offer!! 128561

The biggest table they have here are the booths which can sit probably 5-6 people. Most tables can sit 4 people and they also have tables that can fit 2 people. We were a big group but since they only have tables that can seat a small group of people, we were split into 3 tables of 4's and 1 table of 2's. When visiting, it's best to come in smaller groups since you won't be able to sit and talk to each and everyone. 128517

Unless you go for the VIP rooms, which are really cool! 10084️ One huge induction table with individual stoves and pots!

127836 NOODLES
Sotanghon, Hong Kong style egg noodles, udon, flavored noodles (spinach, spicy, squid ink) and even instant ramen! They have almost everything here! Take your pick.

127845 MEAT BALLS • TOFU • SEAWEED
Meat balls made from chicken, pork, beef - with mushrooms? With veggies? Fish balls, squid balls, scallop balls? Fresh or ready made? They have so many to choose from! They also have different types of tofu and seaweed.

127811 SALAD & APPETIZER
For those who want to start light, they have a salad and appetizer station in the middle of the buffet. Their appetizers include maki rolls, Korean side dishes and many more.

128023 MEAT
They have a wide selection of protein but what we normally get (and love) are the beef short plate which has some fat and is really tender when cooked. They also have innards and a lot of unusual parts... 128584 But we're not really into those types of exotic food so we stick with just the beef short plate. The beef slices need to be ordered at the station and are delivered to your table. They place the meat in stackable containers so it doesn't take too much space on your table.

128031 SEAFOOD
Fish, clams and shellfish. We rarely get anything from the seafood section because when you put in the seafood, the soup will definitely have that seafood taste. Their pots are split into two so it would be good to cook the meat and seafood separately. My sister, E, loves shrimps so she usually gets some and she ends up eating all the shrimp by herself. 128514 But during this visit, we were all feeling carnivorous.

127807 VEGETABLES
Shabu-shabu can be healthy too. They have fresh vegetables in baskets by the wall. Spinach, kangkong, watercress are usually good options for hotpot. They also have sweet corn and baby corn here. 128077🏼

127865 BAR
They have different juices, flavored lemonade, lemongrass infused tea, infused water and PEARL MILK TEA!! 128525 The pearl milk tea they have here is really good. The tea is quite strong which I like. I adjust the sweetness of the drinks by adding ice to my glass. They also have a coffee vending machine, draft beer, softdrinks and Twinings tea.

127834 NON HOTPOT
They also have a section near the bar with ready cooked dishes and rice. They also have tempura. But since we love the hotpot more, we rarely get any dishes here.

11088️ PREMIUM STATION
The premium station contains a teppanyaki cooking station and a carving station with crispy pata and beef!! CRISPY PATA! 128561

127849 DESSERTS
Cakes, fruits, chocolate fountain and a doughnut wall!! 128514 I was so full, I only got some fruits. Hahahaha!! 128517

I really love visiting Four Seasons. 128525 Sulit na sulit samin! 128514 Till the next buffet! 128556

Got allergies after eating here last week... Seafoods are not fresh. Their sea mantis has a foul smell and the meat is so soft or "lata". Clams still have many sands.. Consulted a doctor pa and took steroids meds for my allergies!! Boohoo!!! 128555

WARNING‼️ To those with highblood.. Don't eat their roast beef because it's too salty. I think the chef put too much soy sauce at the same time added salt while cooking in the teppan.. Tsk tsk tsk...

Steak rice is too oily!
Their sukiyaki soup base is also super salty!
For their golden mushroom, they didn't remove the roots that's why it's dirty at the end part!! Have to babad it in water pa and cut the roots by myself!
Plates and bowls have marks on it pa.. Not clean enough!

Hay! Is it just a bad day for me?? Or is it Four Seasons who's not doing their part well?

I should have given them 1 127775 only but i'm very happy and satisfied with their service! Waiters, chef and staff are all smiles and very courteous. So additional 1 127775 for that! 128077🏻
I love desserts and their desserts didn't fail me. So additional 1 127775 again.. 9786️ Love their bubble gum and avocado ice cream, their puto bumbong, bibingka, crepes, sapin sapin, cuchinta, coffee jelly and tiramisu.. 128522

Lucky u Four Seasons for not getting a 1 127775 from me! 128541

If you've been to Vikings, you know the taste. The experience here is one that I am willing to repeat. The interiors of the restaurant is clean, light, and easy on the eyes. The neutral color scheme helps temper the buzz that comes with buffet dining.

The selection of meat and seafood are good. The cooked meals are great, too. The selection of drinks is extensive, too.

Their dessert section, as with any buffet, is okay. You won't hear people actually rave about the pastries but the options are quite good. There are even Filipino-inspired desserts (e.g., Pichi - pichi, Puto Bumbong etc.) available.

The only issue for me is the service. There are times when the plates are left empty for long periods. At these times, the customers have to call the attention of the servers o --something I can only attribute to laziness on their part since most of them are just standing in front of the dishes. I mean, how could they not notice it?

TIP: Get a reservation. It will save you great amount of time.

K and I celebrated his birthday here, since it was the closest establishment from the airport, and he was craving for noodles. We were supposed to dine somewhere in Quezon City, but traffic was extra horrible that day and I was starting to get hangry. Yes, with an A.

It was a good thing that he also brought his Ids, because birthday celebrants get to eat for free!128588🏻

I remember that my first dining experience here was really good, as it was a welcome change from the usual hotpot place. The choices were good, plus I didn't smell like hotpot after!

This time though, I did not feel like it was sulit. The hotpot dumplings (what do you call the other stuff??? Hahahaha!) were not as extensive anymore. I remember having this tofu block with cheese inside, and it is not available anymore. :( We had satay for our base, which for me, is the best hotpot soup base.

I didn't get much of their entrees, except for the Taiwanese Adobo that is really good!

I don;t see myself coming back anytime soon, though. Maybe when the weather starts getting cold again. Or maybe we can just DIY at home at a lesser cost. 128517

Hot pot is one of my favorite #whatdiet food, meal, whatever. Hahahaha! So when I was given the freedom to choose where I wanted to celebrate my birthday, I picked Four Seasons!

Four Seasons Hot Pot City is under the Vikings Group of Buffets and I'm actually really happy they came up with another hot pot buffet!

I love their wide range of food! They have different kinds of meat balls, fish balls, squid balls and all sorts of balls! They even have different kinds of noodles! Not just your usual sotanghon or Hong Kong egg noodles! Want some instant noodles? They have it! 128514 (Spot it in the photo!)

For those who love innards, they have a wide variety for you to choose from too! Personally, I'm not a fan, but my dad is, so luckily, he had his own pot on another table. Hihi.

Beef. Pork. Seafood – clams, shrimp, and all! 128525

You'll be leaving this place with a bigger belly, that is for sure. Need I say more? 128521

Just WOW. There is so much to share about my first Four Seasons Hotpot City experience--where do I even begin? 128513

Situated along seaside boulevard, this gem of a buffet place can be found, alongside the Movie Stars Cafe, Vikings, etc. The area is not easily accessible, but was a nice change of location given that it wasn't inside a crowded mall.

The restaurant's ambiance was reminiscent of Niu by Vikings: large floor area, bright lights, comfy chairs and tables. And similar to any other buffet resto, scattered around the venue was a wide range of food stations--from Appetizers, Vegetables, Meat, Premium cuts, Seafood, Beverages and Desserts. Seeing such varied lineup of food choices can make anyone excited 128525

On to the food. We were asked to choose two types of Shabu Shabu broth among Pork, Chicken, Chinese Herb, Fish Soup, Sinigang Soup, Sukiyaki, Sate, etc. We chose Chicken and Pork, which were their bestsellers. The soup was then set-up to boil in the induction cooker on our table.

Then it was time to unleash the Master Chef in me--I was able to handpick the freshest ingredients from the "pantry," to be broiled in the hot broth. Pork, beef, fish, shells, veggies, mushroom, wanton.. the choices were endless!128561 At first though, our soup was bland. But when we added the right seasoning and spices, it eventually tasted much better--worthy to be served to Gordon Ramsey (haha).

When we were done with the pork and chicken, we asked for a different broth called Sukiyaki. This one was much flavorful. It had an Asian touch, a balance of sweet and salty. The various wanton complemented the Sukiyaki, so I really enjoyed it!128513

Once I was full to the brim with food, it was time for dessert! At first I was disappointed with this station, as it was pretty limited. Turned out to be just right because we were already so stuffed. I had a few cups of Twinings Peppermint tea (served in an actual teapot) with the desserts; my friends had brewed coffee, and according to them, it also tasted real good.

Our total bill was around PHP2700, about PHP900 per head. A bit expensive, but was worth the experience. Will definitely be back!128523

Celebrated a birthday of my friend yesterday last night here Four Season. Four season is the hotpot buffet of Vikings. Most hotpot here in manila is subpar compare to the one that I've tried HK. So I was happy to see Vikings open up a Hotpot buffet since I know they are known for their quality.

The place was big and clean. This is what I love with the buffet group of Vikings the place are always clean and the crew are all over the place. Everytime you need something there is someone to attend your need. Each station is also well manned. The place doesn't also focus on shabu shabu they also have great sashimi, salad and meat carving station.

🔹Sushi station - love their tuna, salmon, tamago and ika sashimi. Quite similar to what you expect with vikings. They also have variety of maki.

🔹veggie section - it was like going to a vegetable section of a grocery. Very nicely displayed. I love the taro!

🔹seafood section - love that there were shrimp, crabs and oyster. The variety of seashell was also good. I love those elephant seashell. The fish like gindara and blue marlin was all good.

🔹balls and dumpling section - this is a first time for me to see an actual balls freshly made. It was cool! Love their variety of balls. My favorite was the scallop balls. Very good. I also like the seasame cube fish cake.

🔹Meat section - here I ordered a lot of their prime beef ribs. The thinly slice beef was very good. Be sure to make a sate egg sauce to add more flavor to it.

🔹Meat Carving section - this section for people who just munch on roasted steak. Meat were very tender and perfectly cook to your liking.

🔹Drinks station - there was sake wine and unli beer. This what made us stayed longer. After completed our meal we decided to hangout for some beer and sake wine. We also went for some lechon macau for pulutan. And after the drinking session it was coffee time.

🔹Dessert - similar with vikings there was crepe, icecream, frozen yougart, halo-halo, fruits and cakes. The cakes were good and fruits were freshly sweet.

Overall very promising buffet and a fresh escape to other boring shabu shabu buffet.

Inspired by the looloo article. Here is a trivia: Did you know Shabu shabu or pronounced shyabu shyabu was derived from the sounds emitted when the ingredients are stirred in the hotpot. 128562

Another venture of the Vikings group and this hot pot buffet is heaven for hot pot lovers like me. There are lots of choices and the service is great as well. The food are all fresh and the good thing about it is the unlimited chang beer of thailand. They also offer twinnings tea to cleanse your palate after a hearty meal. Truly a world class hot pot buffet. Will try it again some time after we fully recocer from this buffet madness

Today, I had a big lunch with the Chinese side of my family. My cousin who is based in California was on vacation here in Manila and will be heading back.

We were able to reserve the function room at the end for 3 round tables of 12. The people who came is just half of the family. The rest is all over of the world!

This is actually my second time to eat there. The first time we actually really waited for an hour and a half before we were able to get a table.

It's a healthy option since it is hot pot. However there is a lot of meat options and sushi section. The first time we went we were seated at tables of 4 where in you get a big pot with a division to have 2 options on the soup flavor. The function room that we got today was a great idea since you get s tiny pot for your self. You can choose any soup you want!

Today we arrived the first out of the whole clan since they were all coming from the north and we are fairly closer that everyone else.

Since we had all the time, I opted for the sukiyaki broth as my soup. I know it takes longer than usual, however today it took 20 mins?! Oh come on! It's not like you gave it to me cooked. I still had to boil and cook it! *sigh* was still pretty patient. The worst part?!? It was the worst Sukiyaki soup I have ever had in my life!!! I'm not even comparing it to the hotel versions or nihonbashitei or even just Sumo Sam. I am a big fan of sukiyaki!!! I was the saddest person at lunch...I took my daughters pot instead with the normal chicken broth.

With regards to the variety of the food...it's good but if you know me, I always get the same thing all the time. And also, there is nothing new! They however added the premium section wherein they had a good sirloin and pasta. Weird tho! Pasta?

Nevertheless I would like to randomly go back with the healthy eating relatives but not in my calendar yet anytime soon.

HotPot with unlimited Warm Sake? Oh hell yeah! 128525

I like how their stations are organized and well kept. The place is generally clean. 128077 Bright lights also help a lot.

Meat orders don't take long to be served. And the butchers are courteous enough to assist you on what kind of meat you want. 128077

Pro Tip: skip the dimsum and variety of balls. Go straight instead to the meat section and get your money's worth. 9996128513

My family is a huuuuuuuuuge shabu-shabu (hot pot) fan. We love to have shabu-shabu whenever we can. The first time we tried this place was due to a friend's suggestion.

Second visit now. It's still jam packed! So best if you get a reservation. They have tons of hot pot items for you to choose. Unlimited meat. Fish balls. Meat balls. Beancurd skin. Noodles. They even have fresh seafood!

Their premium section is now open too! But they have additional charges for those there, like the Wagyu beef!

Something that is saddening about buffets, sometimes perishables aren't that fresh anymore. :( Their vegetables aren't all that nice. And their mushrooms were lacking already.

Overall, I still love the place! They still have the 4+1 birthday month promo. So visit when someone has a birthday to get the 5th person free! Just make sure to bring a valid ID with your birthday!

The place was OK. Nothing special really except that you get to choose from lots and lots of stuff you can put in your hotpot. Meats, seafood, veggies, dimsum name it and they got it. Choices are limitless. If you are a hotpot junkie then this is the place for you.
