Always, always do a reservation whenever visiting Frankie’s City Golf branch on a Friday night because it gets really packed. Waiting time is at least 30 minutes.

We got the group’s usual orders and tried Frankie’s newest flavor for the wings.
🧀 Nachos - The actual nachos were okay. Their sauce was very creamy and heavy but a little satiating halfway through.
128037 Salted Egg Chicken Wings - First time to try this! It’s really good and salty. Can’t eat it without rice.
128035 Wicked Wasabi Chicken Wings - It had the familiar kick of wasabi. Not a fan of wasabi so I think the wasabi flavor was too strong. I think it’s the type of flavor that’ll linger on your mouth after eating it.

My top 3 favorite flavors would have to be garlic parmesan, salted egg, and wicked wasabi. I used to always go for the fillet thinking lesser effort and mas sulit, pero mas malasa nga yung wings and wala naman akong reklamo sa servings. Hands down, this is the best branch to get your fix. The other branches are good but I find the flavor profiles here to be more fulfilling. 128076

Frankie’s. Always the trusted place when you just want to have chicken wings. Featured now is their salted egg flavor. It has the powder-flavoring and not the sauce type kind. Friend liked it so I have no problem with it. Visit during lunch time for a more peaceful ambience. Haha.

One of my comfort foods - burgers. I was craving for one and boyfriend to the rescue. He got me Frankie’s Hamburger (Php 190) for the price and serving size not bad. Although galit sa mayo which I’m not a fan of unless Japanese mayo hihi

My boyfriend said order two flavors. Sooo I ordered Kevin's Bacon Wings (Php199) and Nagoya Tebasaki (Php199). We were both surprised with Kevin's bacon. It was wrapped with bacon, batter then fried. It was overwhelming and sad part was it lacked taste it was bland. Nagoya on the other hand was sweet and savory so I liked this flavor compared to the other one. They also serve pasta, burgers and a lot more.

We ordered buffalo wings (for me) and Garlic Parmesan Burger (for my bf). As for the wings it's good, your typical buffalo flavor, pero kung papipiliin ako mas gusto ko padn sa wingstop. But I like it anyway, picky eater lang talaga ako.

Sa burger naman, since hindi ako kumakain ng mga veggies at tomatoes hahhaa si jowa kumain. Muka naman aya masarap, sabi nya typical lang yung lasa, kaao hindi sya juicy. Malaki kaso d nga nya naubos kasi dry nga sya.

The restau was packed when we came. It was around 10 ng gabi.

Sarap ng wings! And affordable. 9786 I like the seasoned dried wings than the saucy ones. 10084

Mas better if magkamay. And may parking din ung compound so okay lang to bring a car.

Post Father's Day dinner with my boys

Can't believe I have not submitted a review yet. We love this place!

Food is good. Prices are reasonable...but parking can be a challenge on some days.

My favorite is the garlic parmesan variant...so we had that, salted egg, hickory and buffalo wings with some pasta, mashed potatoes and some beers.

Late night grub. We ordered our new fave Salter Egg wings (Php188-1/2 dozen) and then we tried Boneless Adobo (Php188) which didn't taste like adobo but rather Pancit Canton toyomansi. I liked the sauce but wish they'd change the flavor name 128556

That's it! I think I already found the best wing joint in the PH! No other wing place can match Frankie's in terms of flavor, variety of offerings, size of the chicken wings, and price(!!!). Also, props to them for hopping on the salted egg food craze because it did not disappoint.

Place: somehow, I'm relieved that this branch is not in a mall. I can just imagine how traffic it would be on a Friday night. (Although they do have branches in other malls.) The place is spacious enough although expect a huge crowd on weekends. I was able to save a table for me and my friends so yayyy! Plus they have an al fresco/smoking area.

Staff: They have to pay attention more to the customers, and also to make an effort to remember our orders/requests. Although I won't take it against them coz I know how busy the operations is at that time.

Price: We paid a little less than Php 250 per person before we left the place with our full stomach. #happytummy indeed!

Great place, great food, great everything! 1108811088110881108811088

Frankie's was a staple back when I was still working in Ortigas. Now that I'm working in Makati, I miss it from time to time.

Last February, a close friend of mine from my previous job invited me for a get together to celebrate his birthday. It was a Friday so I had to take an Uber instead of driving to avoid the coding and luckily, I work flexible hours so I can leave early and avoid the Friday madness. 128514

One thing to note about Frankie's and Fridays, they don't take reservations. 128528 They expect high volume of people coming in so it's a first come first serve basis. If you do come early to reserve tables for a big group, of let's say 10-15 people, it's also not possible unless everyone in the group is present. They can only give enough seats to whoever's already there.

Despite opening up branches and having an extension of this branch, this place still gets packed and has a waiting line! 128563

But the great thing about Frankie's is that their wings are really good and it comes out very cheap when you're sharing! No wonder people love this place!

THE USUALS
Classic Buffalo Wings - Choice of mild or spicy, best with their blue cheese dip
Garlic Parmesan - By far, the best garlic parmesan wings I've had to date because of it's generous coating! It's super thick and the chicken is cooked perfectly! 10084

NEW!!
Salted Egg Wings - I'm a fan of salted egg and their rendition of this flavor is a wee bit disappointing. Although it had a lot of the salted egg powder, I still prefer it to be a sauce type of coating with real salted egg bits. It's still good, but just not to my preference.

SIDES
Mashed potato - Creamy and smooth. Really great side to pair with the wings instead of rice! 128540

After our Torch session, we moved here to meet up with my friend's cousin.

We ordered 1/2 dozen wings (Php188): Nagoya Tebasaki and Salt and Pepper. Gotta try the last one it's perfect match with beer.

My first review for the year.

The crave for wings ia back so we tried Frankies at Julia Vargas.

The place was packed and the staff were a bit overwhelmed by the orders. We had nachos for appetizers. I give it fair marks. Ive had better versions of this in other restos.

We also ordered 3 flavors of wings: spicy original, bacon and cheese as well as salt and pepper. I liked the salt and pepper the most. Crispy and tasty on the outside and just enough saltiness. The original spicy had a good enough kick but it lacked the sourness. The bacon and cheese was a bit overwhelming to me. Too rich and salty.

Good thing that price was reasonable so I would say the meal was worth it.

Ok, everybody knows that my default wings place is Charlie's. So Frankie's, well, is a good try. We couldn't decide which to get so we ordered Wings World, 1 dozen wings combination of Garlic Parmesan, Nagoya Tebasaki and Smokey BBQ for PhP348. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the Smokey BBQ. But the service was really slow, probably because it was full that night. But it was really slow, he swore not to go back in this branch.

My favorite duo!

It was a biglaang lakad with my college tropa, we got nowhere to go and i just blurted out buffalo wings. My friend knows exactly where to go. It's my first time in frankies and i just love the place! We ordered the parmesan, classic and hickory and a bucket of beer. Merry Christmas to us!
