Late night grub. We ordered our new fave Salter Egg wings (Php188-1/2 dozen) and then we tried Boneless Adobo (Php188) which didn't taste like adobo but rather Pancit Canton toyomansi. I liked the sauce but wish they'd change the flavor name 128556

That's it! I think I already found the best wing joint in the PH! No other wing place can match Frankie's in terms of flavor, variety of offerings, size of the chicken wings, and price(!!!). Also, props to them for hopping on the salted egg food craze because it did not disappoint.

Place: somehow, I'm relieved that this branch is not in a mall. I can just imagine how traffic it would be on a Friday night. (Although they do have branches in other malls.) The place is spacious enough although expect a huge crowd on weekends. I was able to save a table for me and my friends so yayyy! Plus they have an al fresco/smoking area.

Staff: They have to pay attention more to the customers, and also to make an effort to remember our orders/requests. Although I won't take it against them coz I know how busy the operations is at that time.

Price: We paid a little less than Php 250 per person before we left the place with our full stomach. #happytummy indeed!

Great place, great food, great everything! 1108811088110881108811088

Frankie's was a staple back when I was still working in Ortigas. Now that I'm working in Makati, I miss it from time to time.

Last February, a close friend of mine from my previous job invited me for a get together to celebrate his birthday. It was a Friday so I had to take an Uber instead of driving to avoid the coding and luckily, I work flexible hours so I can leave early and avoid the Friday madness. 128514

One thing to note about Frankie's and Fridays, they don't take reservations. 128528 They expect high volume of people coming in so it's a first come first serve basis. If you do come early to reserve tables for a big group, of let's say 10-15 people, it's also not possible unless everyone in the group is present. They can only give enough seats to whoever's already there.

Despite opening up branches and having an extension of this branch, this place still gets packed and has a waiting line! 128563

But the great thing about Frankie's is that their wings are really good and it comes out very cheap when you're sharing! No wonder people love this place!

THE USUALS
Classic Buffalo Wings - Choice of mild or spicy, best with their blue cheese dip
Garlic Parmesan - By far, the best garlic parmesan wings I've had to date because of it's generous coating! It's super thick and the chicken is cooked perfectly! 10084

NEW!!
Salted Egg Wings - I'm a fan of salted egg and their rendition of this flavor is a wee bit disappointing. Although it had a lot of the salted egg powder, I still prefer it to be a sauce type of coating with real salted egg bits. It's still good, but just not to my preference.

SIDES
Mashed potato - Creamy and smooth. Really great side to pair with the wings instead of rice! 128540

After our Torch session, we moved here to meet up with my friend's cousin.

We ordered 1/2 dozen wings (Php188): Nagoya Tebasaki and Salt and Pepper. Gotta try the last one it's perfect match with beer.

My first review for the year.

The crave for wings ia back so we tried Frankies at Julia Vargas.

The place was packed and the staff were a bit overwhelmed by the orders. We had nachos for appetizers. I give it fair marks. Ive had better versions of this in other restos.

We also ordered 3 flavors of wings: spicy original, bacon and cheese as well as salt and pepper. I liked the salt and pepper the most. Crispy and tasty on the outside and just enough saltiness. The original spicy had a good enough kick but it lacked the sourness. The bacon and cheese was a bit overwhelming to me. Too rich and salty.

Good thing that price was reasonable so I would say the meal was worth it.

Ok, everybody knows that my default wings place is Charlie's. So Frankie's, well, is a good try. We couldn't decide which to get so we ordered Wings World, 1 dozen wings combination of Garlic Parmesan, Nagoya Tebasaki and Smokey BBQ for PhP348. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the Smokey BBQ. But the service was really slow, probably because it was full that night. But it was really slow, he swore not to go back in this branch.

My favorite duo!

It was a biglaang lakad with my college tropa, we got nowhere to go and i just blurted out buffalo wings. My friend knows exactly where to go. It's my first time in frankies and i just love the place! We ordered the parmesan, classic and hickory and a bucket of beer. Merry Christmas to us!

Frankies is full on a sunday night! Their place is also bigger and brighter. Another good and affordable place for wings; their "basket of 6" can easily feed two people and costs about 200. The original buffalo sauce is tangy, spicy, and perfect with the bleu cheese dip.

Being a former slave to the Ortigas CBD, I've been to Frankie's loads of times already. 128514 We frequent Frankie's here in City Golf after work and football practice usually. So when my friends wanted to try Frankie's wings and suggested that we visit the Megamall branch, I suggested we go here instead.

If you're looking for a place to chill with drinks and maybe a little bit of fun, I really recommend dropping by the City Golf branch rather than the one in the Mega Food Hall. They have foosball here. 9917

With their recent acquisition of the space beside them, they have finally expanded and that means more tables and seats! This place is always packed! Even on a weekday, we went on a Thursday! 🙃

We ordered nachos, onion rings, 1/2 dozen of their Classic Buffalo Wings and Wing's World for 4 girls to share. We left with happy tummies and happy wallets! 127881 It's been a while since I've had really good food that's also pretty affordable!

Wing's World is Frankie's best value for money wings. You get a dozen wings in 3 flavors – Garlic Parmesan, Smoky BBQ and Nagoya Tebasaki. It's the same price as their 1 dozen wings: P348.

I love how generous they were with the sauces! 128525 The garlic parmesan was smothered with parmesan!! 128077🏼 The Smoky BBQ flavor is quite sweet and sour. Nagoya Tebasaki is like eating wings dipped in tempura sauce! 128514 Tastes ginger-y too. My friends seemed to like it but I personally wasn't a fan. 128517

When visiting Frankie's, you really must order their Classic Buffalo Wings with the Blue Cheese dip. 128077🏼 Winner! 10084

My friends and I decided to have late lunch somewhere in the area.

We ordered:
Fettuccine Chicken Stroganoff (175pesos) - One of the best white sauce pasta I've ever tasted. It's creamy and buttery, YUM!

Boneless Chicken with rice (195pesos - Cheese and bacon for me, my friends ordered other flavors) - the serving was hefty, if we knew the serving size was big we would have ordered just one or two plates and extra rice instead of ordering separate plates each. 128514

Mashed Potato (50pesos) - Well-seasoned mashed potato 128523128523

New York Cheesecake (120pesos) - Worth the price. Must try! 128076🏼

Salted Caramel Cheesecake (140pesos) - We added 20 pesos for the salted caramel topping but it's still good. 128523

Overall a good and filling experience for us.

Aside from their wings, that are always delicious and tasty with every bite, you shouldn't miss trying their Burger Steak!

For less than 200php, oh my, the tender, thick and juicy steak was served in 2 pcs. with a cup of rice and really tasty gravy with mushrooms!

Ang sarap and babalikan ko talaga! Found a new favorite yay!!!

Since it's almost Christmas & my birthday, me and my friends decided to go shopping at Megamall the other day!!! DANG THAT TRAFFIC. We left at around 1pm, feeling confident that we'll arrive there at around 2-2:30 to have late lunch, but oh wow it's almost 3:30 and we're still on the road. (gutoooooom na kamiiiiiiii 128553)

My friend finally suggested this place near Mega, for us to try because we can't contain our hunger anymore, and oh boy i'm so glad she did.

We ate the WORLD WINGS (12 pcs of different flavored wings for 300+), and our own side dishes which are mashed potato, fries and onion rings.

▫️ WORLD WINGS • Oh my gosh this one is a keeper! I love love love it. I love that they are very generous with the size of their wings and sauce. DANG THAT PARMESAN FLAVORED CHICKEN!! 128571
(The one with the sesame seeds though were a bit of a so-so for me)

▫️ FRIES • Soft and goes well with the dip. I love that it's cheap yet the serving is plenty.

▫️ MASHED POTATO • Typical yummy mash!

▫️ ONION RINGS • Another fave!!!! Love love love this one omg

Can't stop thinking about their wings, so i know i'll be coming back for more 10084127881

As a hardcore The Walking Dead fan, my Mondays are blocked for my 1 hour bonding with Rick, Glenn, Terry, Carol, Maggie, Michonne, and of course, Daryl. However, I can get lured by restaurants I have never tried before in an instant. I blame my tummy. >.<

K suddenly wanted to eat out and since he lives a few minutes from my office, we decided to have dinner somewhere in Ortigas. He recommended wings and honestly, I’m not fond of wings. I always think that you end up paying for the bones and not the meat. Anyway, I gave in as I’m not really craving for anything in particular and I had to be home by 9 p.m. so we had to decide fast.

Soon, we’re at Frankie’s New York Buffalo Wings, a wings place at City Golf.

Frankie’s has an industrial/basement chill vibe and I noticed that the diners are students and yuppies. Well, with the affordable prices, it’s not hard to attract the young market.

We decided to order the following: a basket of fries, three types of wings—Cheesy Bacon (PHP173), Nagoya Tebasaki (PHP173) and Caribbean Jerk (PHP173). We also ordered a slice of New York Cheesecake (PHP120) and a few bottles of Tanduay Ice to start the week right. :)

First served was the basket of fries and just like what they said, they use real potatoes. Yey! Nothing fancy about it though.

Soon, the wings arrived.

First to arrive was the basket of cheesy bacon wings. It was literally wings swimming in cheese and bacon bits. After a while, it became soggy. I normally do not like soggy food but this one is an exception as I looove cheese and bacon.

The Nagoya Tebasaki was pretty good as well. It was marinated with sweet teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds. This one is crispier than cheesy bacon.

The Caribbean Jerk tasted weird. It had a tangy slightly barbeque taste that I could not understand. I didn’t like this one. But I think this is still worth ordering as the taste definitely was different.

K raved so much about the cheesecake so I was a bit excited to try it.

I didn’t like it that much. First off, the cake was served lukewarm. I like my cheesecake a bit chilled. Also, the crust wasn’t crunchy at all. There was the lack of contrasting textures. It was decent though but I’d rather have my cheesecake somewhere else.

Overall, it was a pleasant dinner. I never experienced eating wings with plastic gloves so that was definitely interesting. But I’ll skip the Caribbean Jerk and dessert next time.

...a dozen wings for 348 bucks. Not bad at all. I usually order either salt and pepper or classic buffalo. Other flavors are okay but "nakakasuya" after a few wings.

...chill place to dine on wings and drink some brew.
