Fukurou is one of those places i would've never known about if not for the food crawl i attended. I was surprised how affordable their meals are.

I was able to try a few of their "best sellers" during my visit. The kani salad was served first. For 88 pesos, you get crisp green lettuce topped with imitation crab stick and real Japanese mayo. Although it looks a little lacking, the freshness of ingredients and the price definitely makes makes this worth ordering.

I was able able to try their salmon sashimi. this one i wasn't a big fan of. it looked like it was frozen, thawed, and refrozen a couple of times. It was bleeding water when served to us.

The miso ramen for 198 is good to try. The broth is flavourful, and the dish filling. What makes fukurous ramen stand out comared to other fastfood ramen joints is the fact that they make their own noodles in house. the one served to use was a little soggy, but just remind them to cook the noodles that way you like.

Overall, the food would've gotten a 3..BUT considering what you have to pay for the kind of food they offer - its actually pretty good. Service is here decent too. Overall, if you're looking for an affordable and good quality ramen place in the area, visit Fukurou Nihonyori.

He was craving for Chicken Karaage,  we were too lazy to go to Tamagoya,  i guess Fukurou would suffice.  This Japanese restaurant is conveniently located inside Blue Wave,  a stone throws away from the batcave.

The last time we ate here was a couple of months ago and the food is mediocre.  I can't recall if I've written a review though. A lot has happened after our first visit, for one, they now have a menu (items were listed on top of wall before, near the counter) and it seems that they added new stuff too.

We ordered the 8 piece karaage (php 225),  two cups of gohan and miso soup.

The chicken is a overpriced in my standards,  8 lonely pieces of fried meat, incomparable to Tamagoya.   Saving grace is that these babies are cooked well.  Crispy exterior annd juicy on each bite.  And oh, is served with a miniscule amount of mayo and this shredded cabbage on the side.   If I'm paying for more than php 200, i think i deserve a lil more mayonnaise,  dont you think?

I guess customers visit thia joint out of convenience as there are limited options for Japanese food in the vicinity.

Affordable japanese restaurant in Marikina.

Counter and kitchen were on the side, if no staffs were outside the dining area, it will take time to call their attention esp if you're table's on the far side.

But we did enjoyed our chitchat and merienda orders. I thought it was ok, nothing spectacular. 128521

Cash only. Paid P550 for ramen, gyoza & 2 orders of california maki.

I am thrilled to find a Japanese resto in Marikina City! I am such a jap food lover and discovering this in marikina is just happiness

WHAT I LIKE
affordable! Expect to spend less than 200 for a meal and less than 350 if you want some sushi on the side

I do not have complaints about the taste. They have all been yummy
The pork tonkatsu bento has cabbage salad, miso soup, rice and the pork was soft enough but could be better quality but hey the place isnt expensive so no complaints there

They seem to accommodate alteration requests on the sushi menu. If u want to add, replace or remove a certain ingredient.

Wait staff was nice and attentive.

I DO NOT DISLIKE ANYTHING YET
it was a good experience over all on my 1st visit

The Japanese fast food craze in Marikina, located at Bkuewave Marquinton is the Fukurou. I've been to this place many times and that shows I loved their Japanese meals.

Got this tempura donburi127844127858 for 158 pesos only. Ebi, Kani, Kabucha rice bowl. I'm a tempura fan that's why I liked it. Tempura was so good!

Place was relaxing since it's not crowded and very spacious, staffs are accommodating and with all smiles.

A must try Japanese food joint in Bluewave Marquinton in Marikina.

Proud to live in the city of Marikina. I've been to a lot of resto in Marikina already that's why some said that I'm a "Marikina Foodie expert. So happy to say that I have found a new Japanese food joint. Fukurou means "Japanese name for owl" , in Japanese culture, the owl brings luck and I must say its true because Marikina was lucky that Fukurou who has a resto in Japan opened here in Marikina at Bluewave Marquinton.

Fukurou opened last May of 2015 and I was one of the first customers who until now keep on patronizing them for their authentic Japanese food and their Japanese way of service.

What I love in this place is that it's not the typical Japanese Resto who was crowded and messy. Fukurou was quiet , clean, spacious. Everyone loves to eat in a peaceful place right and this is one of the reasons why I like them. Tables and chairs were neat and clean and of course comfortable to sit.

My first visit here is that I ate ramen and the California maki, this time I had this Ebi Tempura Bento! It comes with shrimp tempura , Japanese rice with sesame seeds on top, good thing it has a free miso soup , I love the tofu that they put on their miso soup, then had slice of fresh orange after you finished your bento meal for only 228 pesos!

The staffs here was so accommodating and very polite and that's what I like about their service. The owners were very hands on to their customers to check if orders were complete and they make sure that we are satisfied on the food we eat.

Mom and I been coming back here. Their Ebi Tempura bento is a must try127844127834127857

Fukurou.  A Japanese fast food joint in Marikina.  We were both starving and was too lazy to go to Lilac.

The place is relatively new,  i only see a couple of customers dining here whenever i pass by.  Yes,  i sort of live in Marikina every weekend.  The interior is nice,  high ceilings,  well lit and again with the earth tones.  The tables and chairs exude the minimalist vibe.  The wall is adorned with common Japanese pharases and a big ass mural of the busy streets of Tokyo.

The food.  We ordered pork tonkatsu bento and chicken karaage.  The chic manning the counter had a little mishap.  The karaage turned into a teriyaki when it reached our table.  I was planning to complain but he decided that it's okay,  so i let it go.   Donr you find it odd that she repeated the order before encoding it in the register and yet what was delivered was entirely different.

The food is okay.  The teriyaki is seasoned well but the Gohan rice is not as sticky hence it is kinda difficult to use chopsticks.  The bento meal comes with iced tea - a miniature glass,  miso soup,  shredded cabbage,  rice drizzled with sesame seeds and  two orange slices on the side.  The katsu is not remarkable,  too oily and the meat is laced with fat.  The miso soup is good,  so is the shredded cabbage.  I like dressing they used,  Japanese mayo with sesame flavor.  The orange slice is clever,  i need a lil vitamin c to wash off all the excess oil from the katsu.

This is one of those joints that will probably last for a year or so.  They need to improve their service and the quality of the food.  I paid php 198 for the bento and i wasn't happy with the meal.  198 can go a long way at Crazy Katsu.

Yummy yummy yummy, ramen on my tummy127836

Late post review. I had a new favorite Japanese Authentic cuisine that really makes me go back at my beloved city in Marikina. Fukurou Nihonryori was located at Bluewave Marquinton.

I am a ramen lover and I've tried this Shoyu Ramen. The bowl was big, content was flavorful and generous, price is affordable and service was fast.

Definitely this is worth coming back , next try I'll try their Miso Ramen. 127836

Sorry no pictures forgot to save it dito sa new phone. :) Anyway i'm glad that there's a close japanese resto in my area for that quick japanese fix! We ordered katsudon and chicken karaage. I like my katsudon with lots of onions for sweetness so i requested that they add more onions and in fairness masunurin yung nag prep ng order ko! I'm really satisfied with my choice 128077 but my friend's chicken karaage was too salty as in oa alat and the sauce that came with it is also salty which doesn't pair well with the chicken.. I'm used to the sweet sauce that other japanese restos serve with chicken karaage ohwell better request for a different sauce when you order this. Overall food was okay and the staff was really nice and attentive! Super bait and nakikinig sila sa mga requests.

Mom Elaine P loves gyoza!

While waiting yesterday at our order Mang Inasal, nagparinig si mader. She wants gyoza so I immediately go to Fukurou and had one gyoza for take out. It cost 118 pesos. Waiting time is 15-20 mins. This is mom 2nd time here and obviously she likes the food. This is one of the nearest and affordable jap resto.

Staffs are friendly and even the owner are very hands on with the customers

Mom loves Gyoza!

Saturday jap food bonding with mom. This is my second visit to this place but this time with mom. At last I was able to bring her here. It's just a newly jap food joint located at Bluewave Marquinton Marikina.

Fukurou served ramen to sushi, tempura etc. I tried ramen on my first visit but since I was full I just had California maki for 118 pesos for 8 pcs then mom got Gyoza and it's her favorite, same price also.

Mom liked it. All the recipe according to the owner is that she learned it from her friend when she was still in Japan. She was very hands on to the kitchen up to the customers. From the day of opening and until now, very consistent. So far the service was fat and prices are affordable compare to other jap resto on nearby areas.

Next time I'll try the tempura.

Finally! There is a newly opened affordable jap resto now at Bluewave Marquinton in Marikina. Went there with hubby and my son Latrell Joshua L on its soft opening last month, i even talked to the owner and she was very hands on.

Good thing they served ramen, then we got California maki too. Taste was good and the price is cheaper than the others128077
