Hi looloo world! After being mia for a couple of months, I'm back again!...for good 128516 So I have a looooot of backlogs 128556(that's what happens when you use android more than iphone for over 2 years 128522

So onto the review. (This was taken last April)

Bf and I was thinking where to eat, we were supposed to dine at locale but it was closed permanently 128532 (whyyyy?!!) so I suggested this place.

Place- will need waze since the place is not on a highway.
Love the ambiance 128525. It looks like a wine cellar with dining
tables. So classy 128129

Food- we got (honestly I forgot, 128528 sorry ) but it was meat which was
Okay, and the mushroom pasta. Also just okay.

Service and Price- servers were very attentive and polite. Prices are
afforable, didn't expect the prices to be that good
since the ambiance was really classy 128076🏻

Looking forward to dining again and trying the pasta cooked in a cheese wheel.128522

It was a random weekend when I decided to ask Lance out on a "date" since if I could remember it right, I was PMS-ing the whole week prior and I felt like he deserved this 128516

Since we both live in the South and we practically memorized every corner in every floor in ATC/Evia, I had to think of somewhere else to go. My initial thought though was still in the area but apparently this resto already closed so good thing I got plan B 128521

Another backstory, I have to admit I'm a JaDine fan (and when I say fan I mean watching-otwol-on-primetime-and-replaying-on-iwanttv-the-same-night kinda fan #sorrynotsorry #dontjudge 9996) and during this time they just recently got together ~forreal~ so I kinda pegged this night on them too 128149

Luckily, Lance never complains about driving wherever (or so I thought? HAHA) so going all the way to Mandaluyong on a Saturday night didn't bother him. This hole-in-a-wall-esque resto has been in the biz for quite some time too and glad we're able to pay a visit. Ofcourse, the place has got the ultimate romantic vibe all over so it didn't disappoint 128521

#JLJustLanded recommends:
Penne Con Funghi Porcini & Tartufo Bianco
--white truffle oil & mushroom, allergic to it but what the heck. Worth the itches128076

Chicken Piccata in Lemon Sauce
--the combination is really good and the serving could be even good for sharing 128076

And ofcourse, we had to get some cold cuts and cheese to be paired with some wine 128076 I honestly prefer them now over beer since we're getting a lil bit older (HEH) and the low tol is kicking in, plus, it adds to the ambience right? 128149

Overall, the dining experience was so good! Service is great and place deserves to be really hyped up more. Would definitely come back! Date night mission: accomplished! 128145

Ps. We heard they now have this Parmesan and Pecorino wheels where you can cook and have your pasta served in a cheese wheel?!?! Now that's worth another trip!

Galileo Enoteca is a perfect place to take your date.

They have this intimate Italian-winery vibe that makes you feel nostalgic and romantic.

Definitely, instragram worthy. 128076🏻

The food is delicious yet a bit pricey. What makes up for it is their PARMESAN WHEEL which is the higlight of our night.

Just make sure you don't overdo it, like I did, so you won't have that 'umay' feel with your pasta after. Haha!128518

To sum it all up, I'll give this place:

The place is perfect for valentine's! Tho i can only give it 4 stars cause food didn't shine through.

At first the cold cuts skewers were good followed by the seared scallops with balsamic reduction for our antipasti. And then there came that fresh four cheese with pomodoro sauce that really overwhelmed the whole food. Really loved the Truffled lobster risotto.128076🏼

For the second course, the beef wrapped bacon was delicious but the roasted pork was still blunt on the inside even if it has marmalade sauce.

For the dessert,it was ALL so-so when it came to the taste.presentation was good though.

And for a wine cellar place i expected more drinks like sangria on the menu.

This ristorante serves authentic Italian dishes. Though the location isn't in the more popular commercial districts, it is quite easy to find. In photo: Chicken Alfredo Pasta

Perfect Date Place!!!

The place has a true italian vibe. You feel that you are in a cellar and has a "homey" feel.

Plus points to their waiters who can explain perfect pairing of food and wine (great training).

My girlfriend and i ordered the four cheese pizza, seafood pasta (oil base), baked salmon and a bottle of white wine. Everything was delicious.

Had a wonderful time dining her not just because of the food but the whole experience.

I highly recommend this place if you are in Mandaluyong.

Lastly the place is INSTAGRAM worthy.

Nice place. It looks like a wine cellar to be exact. Less choice for wine and cheese and its a bit more pricey. What I like about this place was the way they arrange tables, compartmentalized so its diffficult to be bothered by the noise of other people in the place, w/c was an issue with Tomahawk. Hahaha. The acoustics of the place was good, but the smell of the cheese though. 128541 I wish they could do something about it and the background music. And maybe also extend order time.

The interior of this lovely Italian restaurant gave a winery/cellar but French feel. Haha! The place is surrounded by hundreds of wine of different type and flavor. Once you enter the restaurant, you will see a small deli and racks of pasta, sauces and spices that are on sale. This made me giddy to spend some cash on such ingredients but it was a bit on the pricey side.

Talking about their food, since I went there with a bunch of doctor friends, I had the chance to taste a lot of their pasta and pizze. Their pasta is one of the most 'italian' pastas I tasted in the metro. And their pizze didn't feel too heavy and tasted so honest and genuine to the ingredients. No yucky oil or overpowering tomato paste taste.

I give this restaurant two thumbs up! 128077128077

"Enoteca" is Italian for wine depository... Enoteca Gallileo in the heart of Mandaluyon is such a place... Located along Cañnayog St. Near the corner of Libertad St. Is my favorite haunt... Owner Gaetano Vitrano and his lovely daughter Vanessa are my Italian family... The Enoteca Gallileo boasts of the finest wines from Sicily as well as cheese sausage, ham and "alimenti" all brought in from Sicily... They also sell Italian condiments like truffle, balsamic vinegar and the like... Their kitchen serves out some of the bets pasta and dishes from Sicily... The ambiance is akin to a wine cellar where diners sit on wood benches and the long tables where good food wine and pleasant company makes for the perfect dinner... And the best part is the price of their wine and food... Very reasonable....

Ambiance - check!
Good service - check!
Good food - double check!

Had the spaghetti tartufata. Died thereafter. pasta was cooked just right and the serving was generous. The prosciutto and tutta carne pizza were also both delicious being very savory and not too heavy. Will definitely be coming back for a second round. Excited to indulge in their risotto next!

They are known for their authentic Italian dishes but this time we tried the Bistecca ala Florentina, T bone steak served with creamy mashed potato and salad. Its tasty, cooked medium and the beef is fresh. Nice try for us on this one.

Tried the

Porcini Mushroom with truffle Risotto

Cold cuts

Pasta with Italian sausage

Everything is yummy! Food is pretty close to authentic Italian, and Arianna C is very picky when it comes to Italian food 128516 and the wine was good too 128516

The ambiance is really nice, it's a nice place to go on a date, or hang out with friends for a nice meal and have a few drinks, very cozy.

This place had been ticked off our bucket list for 2014! I've been working for more than 2 years in Mandaluyong and practically living almost accross Calbayog but it took me last week to try this place. The place's ambiance was unexpected in a good way. It was so cozy and Italian. Love the seafood pasta. Or we were just hungry that time.. Haha

As I went back to Galileo Enoteca, now in their first branch located in Mandaluyong City, I brought O with me to spot check what's new. The setting of classic Italian dining had us expecting an evening of wine and cheese with our casual intimate conversations.
But what cheered up the night more was the food allotted for us to keep our romantic night company.

The Food:
Saffron Arancini with Parmigiano Reggiano blew me away. Inside these yellow crusted compact balls lies the dish of my night. Galileo Enoteca did a marvelous job in creating these bland-looking balls turning out to be a party surprise in the mouth once bitten.

Risotto Porcini Mushroom with Truffle Oil & Parmesan - So gentle, so 'truffle', so lovable! Dinner with O deserves a plate of Risotto that oozes with flavor from start to finish. The overrated use of truffle didn't even matter for it blended so well with porcini mushroom and bits of parmesan.

More dishes and photos if you check out www.thefoodscout.net

Enjoy the luscious taste of mint and chocolate, the AFTER EIGHT dessert. It's a triangle-shaped icecream with whipped cream and cherry on top. 150php each. A must try! 128076

It was already 9:30pm and we were at Boni finding a good place to eat. I searched looloo and this is the nearest place that closes at 11pm. Going there, we became suspicious and scared because of the really narrow roads we passed by, but I'm glad we came through! Who would've thought a place like this existed around this area.

The interior is very beautiful. It has this wine cellar set-up and the ambience is very cozy and romantic. Perfect for dates! 10084

Our orders:

Quattro Formaggi - Love at first bite! Cheesy chewy soft crispy at the same time! But it got stale towards the end of our stay. My friend said maybe because it was too cold here? Hmm.

Chicken Piccata in Lemon Sauce - The salad and mashed potato were good!! I usually don't finish these type of sides but this time I sort of inhaled it! Haha. The chicken was tender and lean. It had this light but delicious no guilt taste. The lemon butter sauce was lacking though.

Service was fast and all of the servers were really friendly and accommodating. A bit expensive but worth it IMO. 128076

Had really late dinner here. Place was nice, quaint, and secretive. Food was bad though, in my opinion. Some of the my friends liked the carne something pizza and only that but I was pescetarian at that time so I wasn't able to taste it. I ordered cheese platter for myself and DAMN don't call it platter if it's just going to be A PALM FULL OF THINLY SLICED CHEESE disappointing :( I expected so much from this hole in the wall...
