The Venice Grand Canal in McKinley Hill has been under construction for so long!! Finally, they have restaurants opening up one by one!! 128525 I don't usually frequent McKinley Hill but whenever I do, it's always to eat with friends who work night shifts in the area. 128514

We were torn on what to try out from all the new food choices available but when we caught the smell of Galo in the food court, we didn't think twice anymore! 128514

We got their grilled chicken and the pork skewers set that was good for 3 people... But there were only 2 of us eating. 128514 It had 3 cups of rice and 3 glasses of iced tea.

I reaaaaaallly loved their chicken!! And the pork skewers too! Hahaha. Their sauces were well made!! 10084️ Value for money wise, it was pretty good since we were really full. 128077🏼

This will be my first entry to Looloo's Henry's Instax Giveaway. So am I active reviewer now in joining this contest? LOL 128514

After availing the promo at Pepper Lunch Express and grabbed a drink at Robinson's Selection, I am curious to try GALO Flamed Grilled Latin Chicken. While reviewing the menu I asked the server "what is their bestseller" she said Latin Chicken. I got Latin Chicken served with Galo Fried Rice, Latino Salsa, Chimichurri and Salsa Picante for P175.00 only. In 10 minutes the server handed me my Latin Chicken, to my disappointment with the Chicken Part served I thought its the same with the picture as Thigh Part, they served Breast Part of the chicken. I asked and insisted to change my Latin Chicken into Thigh Part, at first the server was hesitant so I explained to her that she never asked the part of the chicken of what I like to be served and I also tell them the picture in their menu was thigh part and they should be ready for any adjustment of the customer. Gladly, they change my Latin Chicken from Breast Part to Thigh Part. 127831128019128020

1/4 Latin Chicken served with Galo Fried Rice, Latino Salsa, Chimichurri and Salsa Picante - 11088110881108811088️ 4/5

Overall, I like the service although they need to be more interactive with their customers.

The taste of Latin Chicken was flavorful especially when you combined it to the three sauces.

In my next visit I will try the beef.128515128077🏼128046

It was a regular day and my meetings gave me the opportunity to be in McKinley Hill for lunch. I was actually curious to try this new Latin chicken my friends have told me about. It's not a regular restaurant as it was a fast-food stall along the newly opened Venice Piazza area. It's outside the Robinson's Supermarket as you cross from the "Grand Canal."(There's actually this walk bridge where everyone is taking a selfie but sadly Megaworld isn't taking care of the canal, when the place opened the water was clear blue - it's now algae green and smelly.)

On to the review, I got the regular order of the flame grilled Latin chicken.  It's Php175, you get a chicken quarter, Latin rice together with your sauce (chimichurri & chili sauce) and atchara (they call it Latin salsa). Not a fan of atchara so I only consumed the chicken with the sauce and the carb.  So by now, I've been to Senor Pollo in Makati, Frango's in Makati too, the Peri-Peri chicken in Greenhills - I think it's safe to say that I like how the Southern American folks cook their chicken since I like them all!

The flame grilled chicken was juicy, tasty but not with MSG. (No dry mouth after)  One comment though was I did find the chicken portion small - but I guess that's not a major thing as you can always order the half chicken instead of the quarter.  They have other dishes offered - the carnitas which has a pork and a chicken version. I'm guessing I won't order the carnitas as my friend said that it's likely that it's the chicken that wasn't sold then transformed into a new dish - nothing really wrong with that though as long as it's still good to serve.

Will try the other dishes in another time and lets see if it will still impress. No ambiance but that's expected - however, Php175 is a bit expensive for fast food. Still good though!
