If there's a certain dish that my family loves eating, it's shabu shabu! That's why when we were trying to figure out where to eat when we went to Powerplant Mall, this baby caught our attention.
Our server recommended their Shabu Shabu set D which includes mixed beef, vegetables & dumplings. We tried their all natural beef, that's what's seen in the photo. I asked the server what's the difference of the all natural to their regular meat bc all natural is a 1000 php more expensive. She said that beef is organic and good for the health daw so i said sige let's try it.
It was soo good! Our set didn't include noodles pero I recommend that you don't order noodles anymore because their meals include unlimited rice and with all those carbs, sobrang nakakabusog na!
The only reason I'm not giving it a 5-star rating is because we ordered spicy and it didn't taste spicy at all. We're used to having blazing hot shabu shabu kase back in Riyadh and I think if they did that the experience could have been perfect!
I will def come back tho! Now I have a go to place whenever I crave shabu shabu 🤗128525128077🏻

If there's a Japanese on it I have to try it.. 128514128514128514128514 today lunch was Japanese Style hot pot.. I've been in some hot pot resto before but Japanese style I haven't tried..

The place was small but organized, and the staffs are courteous and efficient.128077128077128077

We ordered their set meal for two, some of the veggies are the same with the two hot pot resto I've been except for the mushroom and and Angus Beef beautifully lined and we were also given two kinds of soups the seaweed and the spicy miso soup.. and two dipping sauce.. peanut sauce and soy sauce based one ..both soup are good but I like the spicy miso soup better. Instead of noodles they serve rice..128523128523128522128522128522 plus points for those who can't leave without eating rice... We also ordered Ise Ebi Kamaboko its a deep fried Prawn balls with mayo dip..

They have a lot of food on their menu as well. they have tempura, Sukiyaki, and lot more...

Price was fair enough for its quality.. Over all experience was good and it deserve some recommendations... .128077128077128077

Went to Ganso Shabuway for an impromptu dinner date last Thursday with my boyfriend to reward myself for doing well in school and also to avail of the Looloo special which is the Buy 1 Take 1 Wagyu Set at Ganso-Shabuway 128514

I read through the whole menu thrice while waiting for my boyfriend to arrive and did not see the Wagyu Set in it. Nonetheless, I inquired if I could avail of the promo and so I did.

They served us two 150g Wagyu beef plates, two bowls of vegetables containing Nappa cabbage, thin slices of carrots, spinach, Enoki mushrooms and a few squares of tofu; these on its own can fill you up already together with the broth.

There are three options for the broth: Traditional Seaweed Broth, Spicy Miso Broth, and Half and Half. We got Half and Half so we can taste both, obviously! I prefer the Spicy Miso because it was more savory than the Seaweed broth which I found to be a bit bland. But my boyfriend did prefer this over the spicy miso so I guess it's all about preference now.

The set also comes with rice (this came in a little late though) and two kinds of dipping sauces. I liked the contrasting dipping sauces of Ponzu (sour - reminiscent of a vinaigrette) and Sesame Sauce (rich and creamy). The staff also recommended putting the green onions and carrots in the ponzu sauce, and the fresh minced garlic in the sesame sauce. I prefer the sesame sauce with the garlic over the Ponzu sauce but I always want to eat everything so I dipped my beef into the sesame sauce first and dunked it into the Ponzu sauce after. 128514

128205Also, a caveat for newbies. The beef is very thin so it only takes 8-10 seconds for it to cook (I asked the staff also to make sure I don't overcook it). The veggies, on the other hand, take around 2-3 mins. to cook but then again if you can eat salad, I don't think raw veggies would be a problem.

Overall, my boyfriend and I enjoyed our Ganso-Shabuway experience! It's a much healthier alternative to what we usually eat and the high quality meat is priced reasonably.

Will definitely recommend this |

First time ever to try Shabu Shabu so I was excited, it was lunch time so the queue was a bit long even on a weekend. The place was neat and spacious.. service is ok although the staff will just basil kay get your order and after delivering what you chose you're on your own..128522128540128522128540128522128540. Nobody from their staff attempted to teach us what to do. But we. Kinda figured how to do it.

I love the idea of my food not going though any frying and sautéing so I had the feeling that what I'm eating is healthy...

Overall experience was good.. I'm giving it a 4. Star... 128522128522128077128077128077.

Service: non existent since they just take your order and then bring your food then leave you alone. They do as if it's your first time so they can explain the dipping sauce and dish out empty plates quickly.

Ambiance: it has a nice feel to it.

Food: half and half broth. I can't understand the traditional seaweed broth. Tastes just like water. USDA choice. Their cheapest beef was good. Ordered tempura. Not ordering it again. I didn't like the tempura batter. Think it was too salty.

Spicy soup is heaven. Lots of veggies. Slices of beef were just enough for two pax. Also, its unlimited rice!

Sadly I was too hungry to take a picture haha... Anyway this spot is nice and clean and the food is great! The sauce is on point! My only problem as usual is the service they weren't very attentive and they served our plates and rice last... I mean c'mon how can we eat with no plate?!?

Looooove Ganso-Shabuway!! More than the usual assorted balls shabu-shabu. I was alone so I availed the smallest possible size. I really love the sauce here too. The sesame and the ponzu. I always alternate because I feel like the sesame gets too heavy and overwhelming while the ponzu is very light and a little tart. I got the spicy broth but will get extra spicy next time. But Ganso-Shabuway is definitely worth a try, shabu-shabu lover or not. The beef is my main reason. Beef + sauce + rice = yummmm 128523

When I am craving for shabu shabu, this is my go to place. It is Japanese style shabu shabu.

I love the 2 types of broth they serve-- spicy and not spicy. It is more flavorful than Chinese shabu shabu. Just a warning though that the spicy is really on the spicy side, but delicious!

We ordered the looloo special ---50% off on wagyu beef, although can't really tell the difference vs. regular beef once you boil it. It comes thinly sliced, alongside a plate of veggies. But no noodles or fishballs here, as it is Jap style shabu shabu.

I would say per order of shabu shabu is good only for 2 persons, not 4 as advertised, as the meat and veggies are a bit limited.

I also love the two dipping sauces, particularly the sesame sauce with lots of minced garlic! Sarap! My favorite!

We also ordered karaage chicken on the side, although this tasted rancid/ fried from old and overused cooking oil. I complained, and they decided to take out the service charge, more than paying off the cost of it. Good service!
