After a tiring day of work and making sure the best ever NESTEA party is happening at #myNesteabeach #laboracay, finally had dinner with my colleagues at this resto. It's kinda pricey but the food is good. Calamares (have been eating this for two days straight) was crunchy with the usual tartar sauce. One of their best food offer is the baby back ribs. Very good indeed! What was disappointing was they dont have credit card service. Since it's pricey, they should accept credit card. For the next boracay trip, this is a must repeat. But hopefully the next time around, they'd accept credit card payment. #LabanManny

Whenever I'm in Boracay, I always make it to a point to visit this really awesome place that serves really awesome food. Their menu is super good it's almost like I want to order everything there.

My favorite, and obviously everyone's favorite, is their Gasthof Back Ribs. It's saucy, tender meat always hits the spot. It's a bit pricey than your ordinary back ribs but it's surely worth it. I always pair this with their spicy tuna pasta which is also so, so, so good.

Overrated and overpriced.

There are a lot of better, more tender, and tastier ribs elsewhere.

The ribs served to us werw overcooked and very dry. Not to mention food was quite pricey.

Lobster in butter garlic... Very good! They claim to have one of the best baby back ribs in the island. But I found it a bit too sweet. Their baked oysters and pasta were likeable. Good grub! 128522128077128055

Gasthof is known as the “Home of Boracay’s Famous Baby Back Ribs”. True to it's tagline, they serves really one of the best baby back ribs. The meat is so tender that it falls off from the bone. It comes with their special Gasthof sweet-spicy barbeque sauce.

Full slab cost 700 while half is 400 which is good for 1 to 2 persons. Try also their Grilled Chicken Salad with Thousand Island Dressings.

Gasthoff has been one of my staple dining destinations for several years now. This visit, their restaurant is not as chaotic as it used to be (perhaps because it was a weekday and the tourists haven't really arrived).

My favorite dish (which is our family favorite) is the regular pork chop meal : two pieces of chips marinated just the way I like it - salt pepper lime vinegar and garlic and grilled to perfection! Served with rice for only Php
220. The only thing I don't like is their chopping the chops into bits! (Personal preference to slice it myself).

We also ordered tamarind soup with prawns, baked oysters, sampler dish of German sausages, ox tongue and a half order of ribs. The tamarind soup was made out of real tamarind and sour! With lots of vegetables :-) the oysters were topped with cheese. Ox tongue a but cold when I got to taste but They were all great!

The drinks weren't half bad either. We had ripe mango and dalandan shakes which had generous portions and reasonable prices .

Quality has not changed over the years! Will definitely continue to dine at gusthaff's in future visits to the island.

Nothing special on the looks of the restaurant but in their menu you can find the best ribs. Priced at 400 for half ribs- already good for 2!

They say that they've got the best ribs in the island. We missed this stop on our first trip to Boracay so I made sure to pay a visit this time.

They've got a spacious restaurant, beach front, along station 2. It's one of those old looking carinderia type that lines the stretch of the now congested station 2. They offer grilled seafood, sausages, all day breakfast, and some other grilled meat. I wanted to sample their ribs so I ordered for half rack of their infamous baby back ribs.

I wasn't so happy when the ribs were served because we got 3 big cuts and 2 small ones. I was hoping to get at least even sized ribs for 400php. Anyway, the pork ribs were charcoal grilled. They were not the fall off the bones type but the meat was not too hard to cut as well - tama lang. The marinade and sauce was leaning towards the sweet side, which I liked, and I'm guessing it had ketchup and pineapple in it aside from soy sauce and pepper. These weren't the best ribs I've had in my life. But I guess they've got the best in the island. I'll choose Racks over this.

I also ordered for a platter of baked Oyster. 12 pieces of king oysters topped with cheese and then baked. They lacked saltiness, ironically. Even the distinct taste of the oysters was not there.

Overall, it was just an OKAY gastronomic experience. If I want some ribs when in Boracay, I would definitely go back to this place. But then again it's not something I would really rave about.
