I love watching movies at Gateway Mall Cinemas. I dunno, but I am so at home at this mall, and so goes for its cinemas.

The cinemas are modern with comfy seats and good quality video and audio systems. The airconditioning is comfortably cold. Well maintained and smell clean all the time. Most of the cinemas are just the right size. You get a good view of the screen almost anywhere.

I also like the crowd here. Mostly students and office workers. Smart viewing crowd here most of the time. Whenever I watch an American comedy film here, for example, the audience are knowledgeable of American humor and appreciate it (unlike in other cinemas where the audience seem like they're asleep).

Another thing I like about the cinemas here is that I get a seat most of the time. The lines at the ticket counter are also fast moving as there are around 4 ticket sellers at the counter during peak times.

The price of the tickets here are in the P250 up range. Pretty much the same as the cinemas in other popular malls.

There are 8 regular cinemas here aside from the 2 special ones. Thus, there is always a good variety of movies being shown here at a time. The last full show here are also late, some even starting at around 10 pm. You can catch a flick even after getting off late from work.

Movie snacks are readily available since there is a snack bar near the ticket counter that sell your usual popcorn, hotdog sandwich and soda. There's also a Taco Bell, Pizza Hut kiosk. There's a Coffee Bean and a juice kiosk at the cinema level too. Plus, a newly opened Quiznos. If you still cany choose from those snack options, just go down one level to the huge foodcourt downstairs.

Another pleasant Friday evening at the Gateway Cinema! After singing our lungs out at a nearby KTV, my friend and I decided to grab the last full show of 'Your Lie in April'. 128513 As a movie-goer who has never read the manga, I found this movie familiar (like your typical Japanese romance) and sweet. My friend thought it was okay and that the plot is very faithful to the manga it was based on. 128522 Pwede ng pang-date! Charot. 128514

I truly appreciate Gateway Cinemas for hosting/partnering with indie film festivals like that of Cinema One Originals because it's easily accessible now. 128522

I watched the Best Picture and Audience's Choice on the last day of the festival and it so worth the eye bags come the early work schedule the following day. 128514

128247 Baka Bukas (Audience's Choice) had an excellent storytelling. It was light and heavy at the same time and Jasmine Curtis-Smith was a total revalation truly deserving of her Best Actress award.

128247 2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten (Best Picture) was a little odd for my taste but I loved every bit of it. The story is something new -- plot twist kung plot twist! Hope to see more from you Khalil Ramos!

Always a good viewing experience at Gateway Cineplex! The theatre is of ample size and the audio is incredible. It was a kinda chilly this time but I am mostly blaming it on the blizzard from DQ I was having. Hahahaha. 128514

I watched 'A Monster Calls' with a couple of work buddies and we loved, loved this heart-wrenching and philosophical movie. You won't even notice the hot tears are rolling on your cheeks because the stunnning visuals and the 'truths' being shown. Gaaaaaah.

Favorite Movie Quote: Belief is half of all healing. Belief in the cure, belief in the future that awaits. Your belief is valuable, so be careful where you put it. And in whom.

Since I started living in Cubao, this has been my go-to movie house since it's very close to my workplace. I love the fact that they show alot of indie/festival films aside from mainstream ones.

Today, however, I watched 'Dr. Strange' and I enjoyed watching it here because the seats are comfy, the sound is good and you can probably sit anywhere and the angle would still be okay which is problem of the theatre is too big. 128077

Just realized I wasn't able to write my review when Ig Plummer S and I watched Suicide Squad here last month.

We got the premier tickets (350php) lazy boy! Yay! There's a free popcorn and drinks, so a good deal. It would have been better if we were given a choice for the popcorn flavor and drinks.

The experience was just okay. My seat kept on screeching whenever I move. Lol 9996🏼️ Will just stick to the normal cinema for now.

Their Globe Platinum Cinema is my favorite. La-Z Boy leather seats can be fully reclined to a bed. Cinema seats forty, with five rows and eight seats per row. There's free popcorn and soda (which I din't bother to consume). Price ranges from P350 to, I believe, a little below P400. Regular cinemas cost around P220-250.

Oldie but still a goodie! Gateway’s cinemas are always me and my boyfriend’s emergency option when we randomly feel like watching something. The place may not be our first choice when it comes to movies but it’s just cool that we have a decent choice whenever we’re in the area.

PS: Gained a Movie Buff Lvl 1 badge with this review! Tried to review 5 cinemas in a row to gain this badge right away hehe. I want this badge so bad!

Watched Attack of Titan yesterday because the bf forced me to. 128514

We always watch here everytime coz it's near my bf's home. 128522

Cinemas are small but clean. Seats are comfy and the leg room is wide. There are times though that the crowd are annoying. Like yesterday, I was seated beside a guy who keeps on coughing and lauging and talking to his buddy. While my bf was seated next to a group of students who keeps on talking. Ugh 128584128585128586

Gateway Cinema.

Tickets are a lil pricey considering it is the same as Greenbelt 1.  Seats are comfy,  you get to stretch your legs and it passes my cleanliness standards.  My review of the cinema ends here.  The succeeding sentences will be focused on something else.

What i hate is the group of blabbermouths sitting behind us.  Apparently they can't understand English hence they decided to annoy everyone by constantly asking questions in their normal voice. If i was alone,  i would've given them a piece of my mind.  This kind of behaviour is downright rude and not acceptable inside any cinema. If your brain is too slow to comprehend English then watch a local movie for crying out loud.

This is why i prefer Greenbelt 1 & 3 over anything else.  The usual seatmates you get are of the same tribe,  movie aficionados.  We are the quiet type,  likes to watch alone,  brings coffee instead of soda inside the cinema.  The ones who fall in line at movie festivals at Shang,  has the patience to read subtitles.

Three stars for now. I can get the same experience at Greenbelt minus the blabbermouths at a cheaper rate and i dont have to endure long lines at the train station.

Funny crowd in Cinema 9. There were two people who answered calls during the movie so the rest were trying to make them shut up.

Gateway cinemas are okay. It's just the crowd.
