Ordered their souvlaki mixed platter which consisted of lamb, beef, and pork, and a traditional Greek drink called Ouzo - an anise-based aperitif.

This is my first time to try Greek cuisine so I have nothing to compare it to but taste-wise the platter was great. The meat, which was smothered with tomato sauce with different kinds of herb, was tender and flavorful. It came with two slices of pita bread, a side of fries, tomatoes, and onions, and was served with garlic and hot sauce. Already good enough for two people.

Service was fast and the place really tried to embody its name-from the Santorini blue and white color scheme, Greek-y potteries and details, down to the servers' uniforms-which we really appreciated. If you are in La Union and in the mood for something Meditteranean, Gefseis is a must.

It was our first time to visit this place and try Greek food! Sure enough, the ambiance won't let you down! It screams Santorini all over with it white and blue paint matched with Greek architecture.

For the food, we ordered the chicken souvlaki platter, beef kebab platter, chicken souvlaki wrap. For the drinks, we got curious and ordered a glass of Ouzo — a classic Greek drink.

The food was actually good enough for 2 people! The meat and Greek rice was good. I found the garlic sauce overpowering though. I tried a sip of Ouzo but it tasted like a very strong cinnamon flavor which I honestly didn't like.

Value for money? I could say a bit pricey but overall it was a nice experience

I love how there's a Greek restaurant right on the beach. Their food's pretty good (and legit! The owner is Greek daw), and you get big servings. :) My favorites were the grilled stuff (tuna, squid, pork ribs, lamb). Tasted really fresh, and they went really well with the Greek-style rice and side salad. 128525 It can get a bit hot nga lang, so I suggest getting a seat closer to the beach for the breeze!

San Juan, La Union is not just a good surfing spot but also a foodie heaven!!! There are many restaurants near the beach that are worth trying out! As always, I consulted Google and Looloo before trying out restaurants and I saw this Greek resto on the must-try list :) 🇬🇷

As far as I can remember, this resto was located across the highway when we went to Elyu last year. Lately, they moved to a better location: the beach front 128525. Imagine enjoying the nice open-air ambiance: blue and white interior which resembles the traditional cliff-side houses in Greece with the view of Urbiztondo beach while devouring delicious Greek food. Haay! Very relaxing and satisfying!

The menu is extensive. It included pizzas, salad, sausages, etc. We asked for their best-seller and they recommended their Souvlaki. I tried their Souvlaki Mixed Platter. You can choose 3 kinds of meat and the price depends on what combo you choose. You can also choose between rice and pita bread. I chose the combo with lamb, beef and pork (Php280-300). Chunks of meat were served with home-made tomato sauce on 2 big pitas and fries!! The meat and sauce blended perfectly together. I think the serving if for 2 people but I finished mine since it was sooo good and I was so hungry after trekking to Tangadan Falls 128517128517.

While looking at the menu, I thought that their food was expensive. But when our orders came, I can say that it was worth the price considering the big serving, the taste and their location 128512128512 (more photos on my blog 128513 theweekendgypsy.wordpress.com)

Walking distance from our resort (San Juan Surf Resort). Owner is Greek and he is also on the floor serving guests.

We tried Hummus, Grilled Octopus, Grilled
Ribeye, Grilled Souvlaki Platter. Wasnt able to take photos of all the dishes. It was just ok, nothing special. I think quality is ok considering they're located in La Union. The ribeye was tough even though we had it in medium rare.

Waiters do not know the items in their menu, so they cant suggest what's supposedly good.

If planning to eat here, dont forget to bring off lotion as there are a lot of mosquitoes (as with the other restos in the area too). They have "katols" under the tables but still not enough, plus the fumes are too strong.

I'm not sure if I'm going back here if ever I go back to San Juan La Union. Will most likely pass & try the other restos.
