Yay for kimchi rice, black noodles. Nay for bibimbap and bulgogi.

Servers were kind but somewhat inconsistent. Will take me a while to try this again. Say, 5 years?

I think this is the only Korean Restaurant in Better Living. It's new, about 2 weeks old, no proper signage except for a tarpaulin and is not fairly exposed to get noticed. I only got to see it when I went to a store beside it for baking supplies.

So when we were craving for some Samgyupsal the other day but were too lazy to drive to Makati, we decided to try this place out.

The servers were friendly and were patient in answering all of my questions about their food, when they opened up, if they have this and that (even if the menu was clear! LOL 128541). The place was quite small but didn't have a cramped feel and weirdest of all, the bathroom was right in the center of the resto! Oh you'll never have to ask! I also noticed that the tables inside the aircon area didn't have grills in them. If you want to grill your Samgyupsal on your own, you have to stay outside the aircon area, right in front of a busy busy street.

We got 2 orders of Samgyupsal, 2 extra rice and Galbitang Soup. They've got about 3 side dishes with too little serving, kimchi included, free miso like soup and a salad. They served us with too little kimchi which was ironic because they were a Korean resto. The salad was made of lettuce and some carrots with a mayo dressing that had a nutty flavor and was rather sweet. Then the Samgyupsal came with less than 10 pieces of lettuce considering we ordered for 2 servings. They don't provide extra side dish and if you ask for some extra lettuce, you'll be charged 40php - for about 8 pieces! Wow ah!

The soup tasted like any other Galbitang soup in any other Koren Resto but serving was little and had more bones than meat. It was also rather sweet. I was hoping for a salty soup.

Taste wise, food here was OKAY. Service was good but I wouldn't say that you'll get your value for money - 230php per serving of Samgyupsal with no free refill of everything else is expensive considering the location and the overall class of the place.

I wouldn't say that we will come back here soon. Maybe if they'll come up with promotions or improve their menu, we would. But for now, we would rather drive to Makati for our Korean Cuisine cravings. 9996
