Simply one of the best Pizza places! I love their oven-baked pizza. Angelizzas are also a must try..as well as their version of salted egg pasta. You can also order coffee and dessert from Tyler Cafe, adjacent to the restaurant.

Kahit take-out masarap parin! Wala paring kupas ang Gino's, i mean, just look at this beauty. And to think these aren't exactly my flavors of choice and not exactly fresh out the oven either. Yet I still found it really delicious. Half n half pizza margherita and bacon gouda! 128077

Gino's started here and now they have four branches! Their own art of Brick Oven Pizza made them famous. This version of pizza starts with their own dough and follows with a selection of as fresh as they can serve you ingredients. Another thing that gets them in the pizza map- their unusual combinations of toppings.

This is my third time to have Gino's on my hand. Third's a charm as I finally get why people love them. Our team tried 5 kinds of pizza and all of them impressed especially the SMEGG. It has well seasoned homemade sausages, mushrooms, gouda cheese and lots of sunny side up eggs. It was a nice mixture of tasty and light toppings with a nice creamy texture to it. Loving as well their classic take on Margherita with the use of Filipino kesong puti instead.

I do find the crust part way too big. A number of us didn't even bother to consume it in full. It occupies around 30% of each slice. Quite significant right? It's all dough from there.

For the pastas, their newest truffle stands out high above the rest. It's flavors are too bold and they are hard to forget. The al dente pasta on this dish was also a major plus. The Lemon Mushroom Pasta also gets my vote for its delicious citrus vibe and for its generous portions of fresh mushrooms.

By the way, the spicy honey was amazing. It blends well with everything.

I adore my foodie friends N and J. They are so much fun to be with. Friends who chew together get fat together! L-O-V-E. This started the wonderful friendship of T3—The Takaw (gluttonous) Trio.

One weekend last month, my foodie friends and I decided to explore Katipunan to discover food treasures. Our first stop was Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza.

J and I almost got lost but we managed as N told us to look for a building with a huge Mercury Drugstore at the ground floor. It was quite easy to spot the building with that as the landmark.

We headed to the second floor where Gino’s is located and managed to get seats right away. The waiter quickly gave us menus but we patiently waited for N before ordering. While waiting, we noticed that there’s an opening between Cello’s and Gino’s. I wonder if the owners of these two establishments are partners or something.

After a few minutes, N arrived and we started to “brainstorm” on our first stop’s food to try. In about 10 minutes or so, we decided to try: Sausage Pizza (PHP350), Tagliatelle (PHP260), and a pitcher of Calamansi juice (PHP150) in preparation for the other stops.

We were all famished as we really prepared for this restaurant hopping session but as foodies, we managed to practice self control and took photos of Tagliatelle (pasta with lengua, parmesan, and mushroom) first when it arrived. Service was actually fast as while we were still busy fussing over the pasta, the 12” Sausage Pizza arrived.

The Tagliatelle was really flavorful. Despite the small serving for the price, I find it worth every cent as I could only eat about half of what’s on the plate before my palate gets tired of it. Don’t get me wrong, I really loved it. It was creamy and it was not too salty. The lengua was also well-cooked. It’s just that I prefer my pasta to be less flavorful for me to finish one plate of it.

The Sausage Pizza was also good. The combination of the tomato, kesong puti, homemade sausage, parmesan, red onion and basil on soft dough sure hit the spot! My only problem with the pizza was that the dough was too soft. It somehow killed the whole eating a pizza experience which is by hand. We had to slice it and use a fork to eat it as the pizza bends when lifted.

The calamansi juice on the other hand was a bit sweet for my taste. I prefer the tangy calamansi juice as it makes me feel that I’m burning more calories.

Nonetheless, it was one great dining experience and I look forward to trying their desserts next time. I spotted chocolate-covered bacon but my pleading didn’t sway N and J for us to order a plate. I guess I need to work on my charm.

*Off to the next stop!*

Begged my bf to go here a couple of weeks ago! I was really craving for some pizza and Gino's came to mind... The traffic was unbelievable though!!! From Banaue to Katipunan, it took us almost 2 hours in bumper to bumper traffic.... Nnnnnoooooooooooooo!!!!!128545128545128545128545

When we were finally able to park, we were so excited to dine at Gino's!!! It's a pretty special place for us because this is where we had dinner for our first anniversary... It fell on a weekday and we couldn't do something particularly special until the weekend... But we chose to eat here the night of our first anniversary itself...128515

I decided on the pizza while he chose the pasta... I really wanted to try the much loved SMEGG pizza... He just wanted the bolognese... So we placed our order and waited...

It was a short intermission!128515 The pizza was served first.... I was excited for my first bite, but you know what?! It was just okay for me... The egg on the pizza made it taste weird for me... Even adding the spice honey did not do much for the taste... Huhuhu, I had such high expectations for this dish!128531

The bolognese pasta was just okay as well... It wouldn't have been my choice of pasta, but I had no veto powers since I was in charge of choosing the pizza... The freshly made pasta was cooked al dente, but I felt that the sauce was pretty plain... Too much meat to sauce ratio... We were both disappointed by both dishes, not really worth the super long drive!128557128557128557

We will stick to the pizza bianca next time!128557128557128557

Tucked away in the more secluded area of Katipunan, it is no surprise why customers still find their way to Gino's. As an avid fan of pizza and pasta, I tend to be very picky with restaurants that offer these dishes but trips to Gino's are always spot on. Although I would recommend unique dishes like their SMEGG Pizza, Pesto Raviolo and Crack Pie, their Bacon and Sausage Tagliatelle has got to be my ultimate favorite. With just the right amount of cream, meats and flavors, the dish will have you craving for more. Plus, it's absolutely amazing how their pasta is not only fresh but cooked al dente every time as well.

For great pizza and pasta at budget-friendly prices, Gino's Brick Oven Pizza should definitely make it to your must-try list.

Told you I'd be back soon. 128514

My friend and I were feeling hungry that night so we decided to get one pizza each (he was too hungry to let me take a photo before eating his pizza lol). I got a margharita pizza, and even though it was plain, I really found it tasty. My friend got the Meat pizza, which was literally topped entirely with meat. I particularly liked this with Gino's spicy honey! It had the salty-sweet combo that I always enjoy.

I have to give props to their staff as well. Really nice and quick to refill my water glass hahaha!

Followed up on Crissy B's tip that they sold bottles of their honey. I didn't end up buying (cause I was feeling cheap lol), but it's 350 for a bottle, if anyone wants to try it out! 9786

From the burrata, to the pasta, to the pizza, this place will always have a special place in my heart. 10084

I thought it would be hard to find a seat because this place is always packed, but a lot of people take their pizzas to go, so it was no trouble.

Bianca Verde was PHENOMENAL! The ricotta was rich and creamy, the arugula and basil were fresh, the garlic was just right, and the olive oil drizzled over it was of good quality and very flavorful. The Margherita slice was great quintessential Italian-style pizza, with lots of sweet, tangy tomato sauce, melty stringy cheese, fresh basil, and a floppy fresh crust.

However, the SMEGG was a true standout; the thick crust is buttery and crispy, but somehow melts with the ingredients when you bite into it. Somehow, pizza is made WAY better when the cheese melts into the dough, and the fresh, tangy, sweet tomato sauce is the highlight on top. You CANNOT skip getting a slice of the SMEGG here.

And OMG, that Gino's Honey Spicy sauce, I could drink it and call it a day. It was sweet, but also had a hint of Italian herbs, and the heat coming from the chili flakes was perfect!

If you haven't been to Gino's and you don't know what you want, just stand to the corner and watch as people order their delicious favorites. I've seen a few people learn this the hard way. Be sure to try this place out if you're looking for some great Brick-Oven baked Pizza. Good to have a solid place nearby.

Cheers
Mickey

Gino's honestly has some of the best pizza I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot of pizza. LOL. And it's pretty affordable too! Try their spicy honey, too! I was a little iffy at first but omg, it adds a sweet twist to their pizza that I really enjoy. Do they sell bottles of this? HAHAH I really want a stock at home 128517 I keep forgetting to try their burrata, which I used to see all over the Internet. Maybe next time (which I'm sure is going to be soon lol)

Some pizzerias cannot even defend their own labels--heck even those who claim and attach it to their name--but Gino's Brick Oven--a local pizza-pasta restaurant is really something. I'm not saying that they have the most authentic pizza but what I mean is they make decent pizzas. No overthinking in that.

The guy makes his own cheeses too so be sure to try their burrata. But my favorite really is their Salted Egg Carbonara which I try to replicate at home but to no avail. Haha! Good thing I live nearby.

Good place. Good food. Definitely value for money.

Best pizza and burrata in the metro! Never a fail visit with Gino's! Typically i would order the prosciutto pizza bec i like my pizza simple but they didn't have it so by default SMEG (sausage, mushroom, egg, gouda) is our choice.

As mentioned their Burrata is so good. I keep coming back for that! Oh and dont forget to drizzle everything with their chili honey! Its the best! 128079128079128079128079

I wouldn't have known that this restaurant in Katipunan existed without Zomato. It's actually not something you'd notice from the outside. It's situated in K2 building just beside Cello's.

We ordered Burrata Caprese (P355), SMEGG Pizza (P420), and Salted Egg Pasta (P190). Burrata Caprese was yum, being the kind of person who loves cheese so much. But what I liked most was the pasta! The pizza was just okay. Good thing they had the spicy honey sauce to pump up the flavor of the pizza.

Besides the food, their service was fast and the staffs were nice. I'd still probably go back to try more of their dishes! 10084

Had a spontaneous drive to Katipunan last Sunday just to satisfy my Burrata craving! I particularly like the Burrata here because it's firm and compact. I've ordered Burrata somewhere else before (from one of my favorite restaurants❕) and it was as mushy as the Stracciatella - don't get me wrong, I love Stracciatella! but I also like to enjoy their difference in texture. Ordered a Burrata Cheese Plate (+ extra order of bread) and their Lemon Mushroom Pasta which also happens to be my favorite on their menu! The arugula goes perfectly with the Burrata, and I love how an extra order of bread only costs 15.00! For the Lemon Mushroom, I like to squeeze out the entire half-lemon on the pasta but that's because I like sour food to begin with. For the price I think the serving size is quite small, but the sauce is very rich and the mushroom serving is quite generous. I think this combination of cheese and pasta is a good serving size to be shared by two (moderately) hungry people. But if you're both really hungry then I would say toss in an order of pizza.

Sunday seemed to be a slow day for them as we were the only people there. Since they were overmanned, their service was (rightfully) great. Our server was courteous, food was served right away, and the payment transaction was quick. Parking was ample since the surrounding banks were closed that day but on a regular day, I would think it would be quite difficult to find parking since they are in a shared building.

So much love for the bread and cheese over here. Ugh. Pizza and pasta overload. 128525 this is my italian food haven, hahaha. Definitely going back. What I like about this is they've extended the seating area up to Cello's Doughnuts (shared place). Omg, last time I was there was back in 2006! (MCHS feels). Bahaha. Love it.
