Pizza is always a good idea. Back to Gino's for their awesomely good pizza. We got the Bomb for PhP415 which was insanely good. It has mushrooms and balsamic onions plus blue cheese. For the pasta, we had the salted egg. He doesn't like salted egg in general, but finished almost half of the pasta.

Hey hey hey!
It's my Birthday month so I decided to give myself a treat and went to Gino's Brickoven Pizza with my boyfriend yesterday.
I've been recommending this restaurant to him ever since I was able to get a taste of it around 2 years ago. Haha!

I was a Production Assistant back then and when I was told to order a take out at Gino's, I almost ordered every freakin flavor since I'm going to be feeding 20 hungry people. So technically, I already had a taste of them all, if not most of their flavors so I decided to come back cause that FIRST EXPERIENCE was so good I had to share it with my boyfriend the 2nd time around 128523

Went there at 8/9pm in the evening on a Tuesday. The place wasn't so full so we easily got a seat for 2. Yey!
The ambiance is nice. They have dark orange walls and yellow bulb lights which gave the restaurant quite an intimate feel.

Onto the food:
127837 Salted Egg Pasta P210
Everyone's just raving about this pasta so I had to order it. Besides, Salted Egg Chips are now a thing so I got more curious how salted egg would taste in pasta form.
I LIKE IT. I like how simple and sophisticated it tastes at the same time. The salted egg gave my tongue curiosity. At first parang nagaadjust pa, thinking hmmm is this delicious or what? Di ko maintindihan. But then habang tumatagal, lalong sumasarap. LOL. Blunt siya at first for me but plus points for the Bacon Bits which made eating it more enjoyable and tasty!

127829Smegg P450
Being a lover of anything topped with eggs is seriously a struggle cause I easily became biased when I saw this Pizza. Di ko pa natitikman, masarap na agad siya sakin. There's something with eggs that make pizzas look sexier and more appetizing. Would you agree?
I am so happy na masarap pa rin siya, just like how I fell in love with it 2 years ago. Naalala ko pa noon, sabi ko babalikan ko to, it took me 2 freakin years to try it again and it didn't disappoint. No wonder it's a no brainer to be on the top of the list to try if you're a first timer here!

127829Bomb P405
We had a hard time picking the second flavor cause the others were almost the same na. Got curious about this Flavor since most bloggers ordered this the second thing after SMEGG. It was okay. The Boyfie liked it better than the smegg but I didn't. The balsamic onion kinda gave it a sweet sour taste which I didn't enjoy much cause I really hate savory and sweet being mixed together. But thanks to the Blue Cheese it made the pizza better. The umay feels lessened and tolerable na yung sweetness.

127865Calamansi Juice P150 (Pitcher)
Thanks God I ordered their Calamansi Juice. Their drinks are quite expensive. Their Iced Tea is Hella P250 (Pitcher) and that's only good for 2. The boyfie is a lover of Calamansi Juice and taking it from him, he thinks that the P150 we paid for it is worth it. Light lang yung sourness and made everything balanced.

They have this signature condiment GINO'S SPICEY HONEY which reminds of fishball sauce with a thicker and sweeter texture. Masarap siya and when I got a little umay already on the pizza I was adding this, sarap!

Forgot to include that one order of Pizza is only good for 2. I can even finish 1 order cause it's just 6 small slices. 128523 Good thing I brought someone with me so I was able to try another flavor. For those of you who plans to visit this place I suggest you do reservations ahead since the restaurant is just small it can be jampacked during peak hours.

Craving Satisfied!!!128525

I love their SMEGG pizza and their salted egg pasta is 128525!!! I don't really have much to say other than that... 128517 You should also try their spicy honey!!!! Really goes well with the pizza.

First time trying out their nutella soup as well. Since I was a bit sick at the time, I didn't had much. But it was really good!

As promised, I came back for more Burrata! 128525

I was supposed to eat dinner at Mendokoro Ramenba after my walk around Salcedo Park, however the place was full so I decided to walk around again and ate at Gino's instead.

I wanted to try the Ricotta Cheese and Bread but I noticed at the back of the menu that the Burrata can be ordered by itself, so I switched and ordered it instead. The server recommended that I get some bread as well to go with the cheese. I also ordered the Salted Egg Pasta which I really loved from last time. I loved that the pasta is freshly made and I can really taste the salted eggyness of the sauce 128077🏼128077🏼

Sure had a great dinner after finishing everything. Would come back again to try the SMEGG pizza next

Thank you again Lark C and Ruth D for introducing me to this place

There's a restaurant in Megamall I used to go to with my family more than a decade ago; back when Ortigas traffic wasn't so horrible and when it wouldn't drive a person crazy just waiting to get inside the parking building. Anyway, that restaurant was Angelino's. It suddenly disappeared but I will never forget their appetizer that I really loved.

Imagine my surprise when I learned that one of Gino's owners is related to the owner of Angelino's. So when I went back, I made sure to check every item on the menu. And there it was... the Angelizzas. Crispy wrapper, beef, cheese, chopped tomatoes. Man, it looks and tastes exactly the same as how it did more than 10 years ago! 10084

Thank you, Gino's. Thank you. You have no idea how happy I am to have found Angelizzas again. 🤗

Another throwback review for the week. I just can't keep myself from giving a good review for this place since I really loved their Burrata128525

Lark C and Ruth D invited me to join them for dinner at Gino's. Although I've been hearing and reading about this resto already, I never had the chance to pay some visit.

We ordered the Summer Burrata salad which was really really really good. I love cheese and the burrata made me feel like I am in cheese heaven. The citrus flavor of the dalandan dressing was perfectly paired with their prosciutto and burrata. The Salted Egg pasta was also delicious and had a unique taste which I love.

Another special order which we had was the Angelizzas which brought back some of Ruth's precious childhood memories (almost same with how the critic in Ratatouille was almost in tears after tasting his meal).

Would definitely come back for more Burrata. Can't wait!

I consider Gino's Brick Oven Pizza as one of my favorites. I love how fresh and delicious their pizza and pasta are. 128076🏼

I've already tried their Buffalo Chicken, SMEGG (sausage, mushroom, eggs, gouda, cream), BOMB ( balsamic onions, mozzarella, mushrooms and blue cheese). All the flavors (for me) are just okay except for their SMEGG (PHP 475) pizza which I consider as my ultimate favorite. I can literally eat it over and over again. 128523128523128523128523

Also, don't forget to drizzle their Spicy Honey sauce on your pizza!! It adds an addictive twist and you'll end up having it on every slice.128514128076🏼

For their pasta, I've tried 3 different types of pasta. Their Pesto and Carbonara pasta didn't meet my expectation. My favorite is their Salted Egg Pasta (PHP 225). I love how the salted egg, parmesan cheese and cream sauce compliment each other. 128521 But, what I really love about their pasta is that it was fresh and hand made. 128523

Overall, I will always recommend Gino's if you're craving for some brick oven pizza. 9996🏼️

I've tried Gino's before in Katipunan and didn't really like it.. :( Good thing I gave it another try last Friday when my friends suggested to have dinner here because I told them I was craving for pizza.

Since I got there first and I was hella starving at 8:30pm, I immediately had my name put on the list and ordered 4 cheese pizza and salted egg pasta in advance.

Amazingly, around 10 minutes after I was seated in our table already and served the pizza and pasta within 5 minutes. Thank you very much from my hungry tummy!!!!

The pizza wasn't so good, I didn't really taste the cheesiness... And it got cold easily. But the salted egg pasta was a winner! I'm not into salted egg so I made sure to ask first if the flavor was as strong as eating plain salted egg and the waitress said not so much. So yay! The taste and the texture of the salted egg was there but it was subtle and it was good!

My friends got there almost an hour after I did and all the food had gotten cold already. I was super takaw mata because I thought I could finish the pasta and pizza all by myself... Or atleast the whole pasta and half of the pizza. But that didn't happen. One pizza and one pasta was enough to fill up three girlfriends catching up. Plus a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to cap the night! 128076

Maybe I picked the wrong flavor of pizza.. but that's been a second not so good encounter for Gino's pizza. Huhu

I do definitely know now why the salted egg pasta is such a hit tho! 128035

I love Ginos Pizza's SMEG! It's the only pizza that I could eat over and over again. One order is good enough for 2-3 persons at the price of P450+. And that Spicy Honey is to die for!!! A must try to all pizza lovers!

So my friend who lives at pampanga is staying manila for a night so we decided to meetup, original plan was to have everything at tobys estate (dinner, dessert, coffee) but last minute we opt to have dinner here instead.

We ordered their SMEG, it was just okay, personally i hope we order their verde pizza but since my friend is rarely manila i let the decision off my hands. With ingredients like egg, bacons and cream it did somewhat give a hint of empanada. 128516 we also ordered their salted egg pasta, this one i like better.

Were almost finished with our meal when something unusual happened, a flying ipis keep circling above the ceiling, all the customers inside noticed it and was the cause of panic. A sight like this would cause grown man (like the a$#@ guy next of our table) to run outside like a b!#$ (sorry, there was a reason for this rant but its another story). Its good that were almost done with our meal and i personally think that this incident is not entirely their fault but could be handled better. 128522

What i like here is that they serve food very fast. And their spicy honey condiment. 128522

Honestly, I was intrigued with how that famous local personality endorsed SMEGG pizza as a must-try! It did not fail me. The long queue was all worth it.

Seriously, Gino's pizza has been a long time coming. They've been open for years and its only recently i've been able to get my first slice 128551 Where have you been all my life?!? 128517

The pizza is excellent! The hype is real. Well, i wouldn't call it hype anymore since they've been around for some time now and people still do enjoy a good Gino's. The pizza is real, is more like it! I'm a classic dude so my personal favorite is the 4 cheese. I do benchmark all pizza places on how well they make their cheese or pepperoni pizzas, and Gino's passed with flying colors! If you're adventurous i'd also recommend their signature BOMB (Balsamic Onion, Mushroom, Blue Cheese) and SMEGG (Sausage, Mozarella, Egg, Gouda) pizzas.

Another thing i love is the provision of spiced honey instead of the usual chilli flakes/oil to compliment your pizza. It adds a unique twist that i found so addicting, i had it on every other slice! 128517

Other stuff on the menu was pretty good too. The buratta is a must try... think creamy pouch of cheese. Yes, literally. You cannot go wrong. The salted egg pasta tasted like carbonara but with that slightly saltier taste and powdery texture that comes with the salted egg.

And to top it all off, the nutella soup! Melted nutella in a bread bowl made out of their pizza dough! 128077128077128077

After my sister and her classmate took their college entrance exams at De La Salle this afternoon, I decided to treat them to early dinner.

My sister's friend actually wanted to go to his all time favorite ramen place but I persuaded him to try a new place. Gladly he agreed. Or so I think haha maybe he just agreed since he was too shy to rebut.

For appetizer we got the Burrata Caprese and boy was it a hit. We loved it so much that we ended placing the remaining cheese on our pizza crusts. My sister couldn't stop saying how delicious it was.

For pizza we got the Prosciutto since that's one of my favorites. After placing the order I kind of had second thoughts that my sister's classmate might not like it as it had "greens" in it. To my surprise they both liked it too. Their spicy honey sauce gave it a flavorful kick too.

My sister's friend also got the Bacon Sausage pasta which he said was good while my sister and I split the Salted Egg pasta.

Salted Egg Pasta. Though it was good we all found it a bit weird for our taste. It actually reminded us of eating bibingka haha I found the salted egg flavor too strong that I had to eat pizza every after eating the pasta to ensure I don't get tired of the flavor. Don't get me wrong, it was good, just not my kind of pasta.

We also got the Dalandan juice and it was so fresh and natural though a bit bland for my taste. I like the one at Recovery better.

We were so full that we didn't get to try out any of their desserts.

I love the burrata and pizza so much that I will definitely go back. Plus another excuse: I wasn't able to try their Nutella Soup.
