It's a choice between Gino's and Wildflour for a quick catch up with my highschool BFF.. ended up here as we are both with kids and as usual kids die over pizza.. A healthy choice too since they're known for their wheat based pizzas.. got the bolognese, sausage and bianca verde pizza all of which has kesong puti hence brings out the flavor of each bec of the slightly salty taste..Bolognese not too saucy but meaty. Their wheat pizzas also not a disappointment, soft bread with a slight crunchy crust. Bianca verde was a flavorful bomb of cheese with a bit of bitterness from the arugula leaves. Sausage pizza also a treat.. will have to go back to taste their salted egg pizza and pasta best seller dishes..

Excellent food and service! Pizza and pasta! House Salad and Salted Egg pasta was so great. Cheese pizza and Smegg pizza, thin soft crust, flavor could be better. Nutella Soup for dessert was a fantastic idea. It was a pleasant dinner 128512

My friend and I immediately agreed to order the Smegg Pizza and Salted Egg Pasta when we got seated, so i am assuming this is their Best Seller cause we both like it :D. I also enjoy mixing their Spicy Honey sauce on their pizza.

Servers were ok and attentive. I don't have to ask for water refills as they do it on their own. Also, they don't have service charge on the bill.

I hesitate giving out negative reviews since starting and running a restaurant with cutthroat competition around and the ubiquitous (and often) unforgiving social media reviews could spell disaster for the business owners and loss of employment for its staff.

But let us get this out of the way first: the Burratta Capresé was excellent. At 405 pesos, I think it was worth every peso. An appetizer at that.

The red sauce pasta on the second photo was probably the worst I've tasted in years. Thinking that this is a pizza place, one would expect they have the pasta thing pat down. The sauce wasn't red enough; as if cream was mixed into the red sauce. People who love red sauce wants unadulterated red sauce, replete with the tomato's sourness built into it. Sbarro gets this concept.

Second, the pasta felt dry and undercooked; and before anyone sings 'al dente', no this isn't al dente. Cibo and Bizu know al dente. The pasta here looked as it was pulled out of a ramen plastic bag.

Third, the small serving. Was this supposed to be a side dish?! At 205 pesos, this wasn't worth it. Ate a third of the serving and didn't even bother to have it packed. A negative F for this dish.

This review netted two stars because of the Caprese in the first photo. My wife enjoyed her Carbonara though.

So was this a fluke? Maybe we'll be back for the pizza, which is presumably their go-to menu items. But they've got to overhaul that red sauce monstrosity they serve tonight.

Today we ordered:
127829 Panna Sausage and 127837 Carbonara

Last visit we had:
127765 Burrata Caprese and 127859 SMEGG

I prefer my order before than what I had today. Burrata is a must try!!!!! Its soooo good, I swear. The Panna Sausage was also yummy but I prefer the SMEGG. Carbonara was super rich, though it lacks salt. Too bland for my taste bud.

Impromptu pizza, pasta and burrata dinner with the cousins. We were about to head home after visiting our 1 year old niece when her dad arrived and asked if we wanted to have dinner in Podium. My eyes lit up when he mentioned Gino's!

On the table
🔹Burrata with House Salad - the name of this dish is spot on as a generous portion of Burrata is accompanied by a side salad w/ Balsamic dressing. The Burrata's taste and texture can be likened to our local kesong puti. The dressing's acidity wasn't too strong. A bit pricey for a salad but the quality of the ingredients and the portion of the Burrata is well worth it.
🔹Lemon Mushroom Pasta - nicely seasoned and filling
🔹Prosciutto - great balance of flavors plus soft pizza dough even made more enjoyable with their Honey
🔹Calamansi - could use more calamansi flavor but refreshing nonetheless

We've been here a couple of times and I'm sure we'll be back to fulfill our Burrata and Pizza cravings.

Ordered their burrata caprese for appetizers, which come with their house-baked bread. Love the flavor of this mild cheese, so different from what Filipino palates are used to, since most of us grew up on processed cheddar. For mains, we had their Panna Sausage Pizza and two kinds of pastas - Lemon Mushroom and Salted Egg. The pizza and both pastas are equally good. Servings are just right. With the right company, dinner at Gino's is almost close to perfect!

It was a Friday, L , J & i were looking for a quick meat free bote before heading home . J remembers Gino's Pizza upstairs .
The restaurants in the OmPodium are seldom full , surprisingly Gino's just had a few tables free , a good sign , i thought.
And true to the 'senyales' it was a truly good and light meal .
We shared :
4 cheese pizza with extra kesong puti 4*
Salted egg pasta 5*
The pizza was cooked perfectly , why only a 4. ? Because we didn't order a pizza with meat , it was a Friday .
The salted egg pasta likewise was perfectly cooked with the right amount of salted eggy flavor you just had to have another mouthful. I finished this off and made L promise to try to make this at home.
Now i'm a Gino's pizza fan. And the next visit better not be on a Friday , hehe.

This is my nth time at Gino's. I really cannot count how many times I've visited this place already. We just keep on craving for their pizzas and pastas. So I guess I could say that Gino's is officially my favorite pizza place.

It was my first time to try their Pesto pasta. When it was laid out on our table, it looked a bit underwhelming. The pasta they used was pazzoletti, somewhat similar to lasagna sheets, so it looked flat. Surprisingly, we still liked it a lot! The flavors were simple and clean, but still very delightful. This was a perfect pairing to the heavy meat pizza we ordered.

The pizza we ordered was the Salami Pizza. The pizza was still really good, with the same perfectly crunchy-chewy crust. Add their spicy honey for that sweet-salty-spicy combo.128525

Food is great at an affordable price (at least for the pizzas)!! Love their pizzas (you can put honey, if you want)...

Oh, fresh dalandan and buratta - must tries!! :) Not a fan of their pastas though...

The place and ambiance is great too.

A few weeks back, my college friends and I pushed to meet for dinner on a week night since our schedules are all packed with meet ups and travels in the next weeks to come. And since most of them are working in Ortigas, L and I had to brave the traffic going north. And we survived to have dinner at…

Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza.

It has been quite a while since I last visited Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza. I think it was over 3 years and it was with my favorite Takaw Trio (T3) friends. Anyway, this time around, we tried Mushroom Pizza (PHP375), Prosciutto Pizza (PHP445), Carbonara (PHP220), Pesto Pasta (PHP225), Nutella Soup (PHP195) and Crack Pie (PHP55, slice). We also ordered a pitcher of Calamansi juice (PHP150) to help us digest the food we were about to consume.

M was amused with how the Pesto Pasta was served as it was all bundled up. It reminded us of semi cooked instant noodles. The texture itself was also a bit hard and it had a slight sweet taste which could have been from the cream. The pesto itself wasn’t very oily which was great but I wish that it had a stronger pesto flavor over cream.

Carbonara on the other hand was delightful. It was a creamy piece of heaven. The bacon bits added saltiness which balanced off the cream and the garlic added flavor to the dish.

Now for the pizzas…

Luis, the server who waited our table, suggested Mushroom Pizza and we were glad that we actually listened as it was one of the best pizzas I have tasted! The cream, mozzarella, garlic, mushroom and bleu cheese flavors went well together and the flavor wasn’t overpowering making me want to eat more than one slice. And since it was sort of “vegetarian”, it made me feel less guilty eating it.

The Prosciutto Pizza was served next and it was pretty good too though not as good as the mushroom pizza. It was saltier because of the prosciutto, kesong puti and parmesan. Make sure to eat it with arugula to offset the saltiness of the other toppings.

And when we were down to our last few bites of pizza, we asked for our desserts to be served.

The crack pie slice sure was small and it tasted weird. Its texture reminded me of coconut macaron because of the coconut shavings. It was slightly sweet. But make sure to have a glass of water ready as the rough texture could make your throat itch.

The Nutella Soup though was divine! Imagine, warm nutella on a bread bowl! It was the best way to cap our meal! It was so good that we thought of ordering another bowl even when we were already stuffed. (But we didn’t as our pants were getting too tight.)

Overall, it was a great dinner and a fun night with friends. I will definitely visit again for a bowl of Nutella Soup!

Love, love, LOVE this place!!! We ate here to celebrate my nephew's birthday, so we were able to order almost everything on the menu... and all the dishes tasted fantastic!!! Not alot of Italian restaurants here make their own pasta, but Gino's does - to perfection! Everything was just so flavorful!! Point on anything in the menu and it will not dissapoint! Too bad we were too full to try their desserts... I shall return!!

The usual order would be: Burrata Caprese (and a few orders of bread), Prosciutto Pizza and Salted Egg Pasta. These are my constants from Gino's with reasons as follows:

[1] The Burrata melts in your mouth, and it goes so well with the warm bread. Ai like how it's served with cherry tomatoes, chopped basil and olive oil, which makes it give off such a delicious scent.

[2] Love the lightness and the flavor of the Prosciutto pizza. Love it even more when drizzled with their homemade spicy honey syrup (which I really REALLY wish they sold in bottles).

[3] Lastly, the salted egg adds just the right amount of texture to the light, creamy pasta. The serving size is good for sharing as well.

Gino's will always be one of those go-to places for some good 'ol Italian comfort food.
