Firstly for a cafe / restaurant , within such a recognised building here in Cebu City , this establishment was so humid ... sweated ... never again , due to the environment in here & the cost of the foods

Plus the décor & seating was out dated

After finally giving this establishment a try — For me ... no wonder this place was quiet ... & was other times I’ve looked in , when visiting this Crown Hotel

Seafood Pizza - P280... was a 1/2 baked thicker based industrial style pizza crust , topped with chunks of fish pieces , cut prawns & sliced baby mushrooms with a white sauce squeezed over the top ... ended up after a few pizza slices , just eating the pizza toppings , because of not liking the pizza base taste
Fish & Chips - P280... was thickly Crumbed fish strips with over cooked fries
Cucumber Juice - P75 ... tasted more like cold water with a little flavouring

All the foods & drinks were surely not to the cost price satisfaction

Staff were hard to get their attention , as they were standing near air-conditioning units , as wiping their humid faces

Valenciaga rice (sticky like risotto), the fish tartar sauce is the best, longganisa, bacon, buttered vegies, marinated ham in pineapple juice.

Breakfast Buffet round 1: Bread with strawberry marmalade and butter, banana bread, potato salad, shanghai roll with sweet and sour sauce!

The bread butter and marmalade is best.
2nd is the potato salad!

Our 4 day stay at Crown Regency meant 3 consecutive days eating buffet breakfast at Glo... It's located at the 2nd floor of the hotel... It's pretty big, seats a lot of people... And the overall feel of the place is very pleasant, low key interiors which highlights the food...

During our 3 days there, the menu for the first two days was exactly the same, which we didn't like... So we were surprised on the third day when the menu was changed... Yey!128522

They offered a pretty complete breakfast buffet... Lots of bread, good quality croissant and danish, different kinds of toasts127838. The serve salads and soup127858, for those who prefer those for brekkie. There is plain rice and garlic rice available, as well as kimchi rice127834, which was just okay for me. They offer either waffles or pancakes with sausages.... There was ham, a seafood dish128031, a veggie dish127813 and several meat dishes. They make sure there is a pasta and a pudding dish daily... There is also a choice of oatmeal and two kinds of cereal... And of course, an egg station!128035 The omelet was weird though, because they don't cut up the cheese and mix it inside the omelet. They just put it on top of the finished eggs... Weird right? 128563 another weird thing is how they cut up the fruit, parang ang off ng presentation... Haphazard arrangement and too many fruits piled on top of each after. Nagiging lasog-lasog after being handled. But that's a teeny thing... 128540

I have never seen such attention to detail from the chefs, who are busily fixing and filling up platters all the time. The food is always refilled immediately... I've seen their head chef making rounds on the buffet spread daily, fixing the food and making sure the platters are always filled... When you ask for coffee, the servers promptly give it... Very attentive, sobrang nakakatuwa!128513128516128513 kahit na the food was just okay tasting, I'm still giving it 11088110881108811088️! I'm always a sucker for great service and this resto delivers!128077

P.S. Our fave is the mini sugar donuts, like the ones served in the small bakeries... Super yummy!127849127849127849
