If you love fresh lumpia and hole-in-the-wall finds, you'll definitely have to try Globe's fresh lumpia. They say that the trick to have a delicious lumpia is in the sauce. But it's not the case for Globe's. The lumpia still tastes yummy even without the sauce. So the next time you visit Quiapo, drop by this little nook. Just don't give up on the long queues. 128521128077

One if the pioneer lumpia store in quiapo. A braved the long line nust to taste their lumpia. At 15.00 each it's a steal a complete and healthy meal you can dine in ir if you want to go. Be sure to try it out when you visit Quiapo Church.

Lines here are long! Many people love this place for the simple yet delicious cheap fresh lumpia that they sell. Quite messy place and not well ventilated, no dine in area, only for take out.

My first Globe Lumpia experience! There lumpia is really really a must try and I would recommend this to other looloo users!

They used to have a dine-in area but now, people just simply to have it taken out.

Step 1: Fall in line.
Step2: Pay at the cashier then they will give you a small piece of paper reflecting how many did you order.
Step 3: Give the paper to another person and she will tell the lumpia maker how many your orders are.
Step 4: Watch how your fresh lumpia is being made and there, get it, and exit the store.
Step 5: Go home immediately and savor every bite of Globe Lumpia.

You really have to fall in line because many people are patronizing their product which costs only 18 Pesos/pc. Cheap huh?! Thing is, it's a very small store, no air-conditioner, and you need to wait outside the busy streets of Quiapo if you're lucky enough to be customer number 5 and up. 128514 Just like Excellente Ham huh?

P.S. I ordered 7 pcs and I was able to eat the leftovers this morning. 128077128055127860

Masarap na mura pa! Panalo!

Not your typical lumpia. Kinda sweet for some.

Panalo din ang pila. Tiyagaan lang talaga. 128513

Whenever you're scrambling the busy streets of quiapo looking for an interesting snack, pay Globe Lumpia House a visit. You'll know you're in the right place when you see a line (definitely a long one) of hungry peeps waiting for the freshly wrapped jewel. No other branch. Only in Quiapo. Tara na!

TRIVIA: They use shredded papaya not ubod. Don't worry, lumpia fans! It doesn't make the lumpia less delicious.

Bawal ang Dine-in! LOL

Yesterday, New Po Heng's Fresh Lumpia reminded me of my favorite Globe Lumpia. From Binondo, I drove to Quiapo enduring the traffic just to get this P18 Lumpia.

I did not expect so much people lining up and I too waited in line for 40 mins until I heard the cashier say, "ubos na po! Bukas na ulit".. Bronuts ng Lumpia.. Haha, I asked if I can come back tomorrow without falling in line and if I can pay in advance. The cashier said that's fine because I already waited too long.

This morning I went back and bought 4 pieces to go and had it for breakfast at home. The reason why I love this is because it has a lot of ground peanuts (photo) and no scrimping on sauce. It's definitely worth my efforts hehe.

Delicious and Okay sa bulsa!

The Globe lumpia house
Price: P 16.00

It was featured in one of the episodes of Kris TV. So out of curiosity, during one of my trips in Quiapo para makabili ng ktv system.tinanong ko yung binilhan ko ng ktv kung saan ang tindahan ng lumpia.katapat lang daw ng pwesto nya dun daw sa mahabang pila...dun lang pala sya sa pagbaba ng overpass sa raon. ndi kahabaan ang pila..mga kulang 3 dipa lang.for sure ndi namn magtatagal...but it took me almost an hour para lang makabili ng 5 pcs na lumpia nila(siguro natapat lunch time kaya ang orders siguro e sa mga offices dahil pakyawan ang pamimili nung nasa harap ng pila). anyways habang nakapila naririnig ko kwentuhan ng mga nakapila na nafeature nga daw ni kris..masarap daw..nag reminisce pa yung not so old lady nung highschool pa daw siya naminili dun..oh well...

And now the taste
Not your typical lumpiang sariwa..instead of ubod, they used shredded papaya...everything is sakto.the sweet-garlic sauce is really good...

Verdict: for the price...mura na masarap pero ndi mo sasadyain ang quiapo para bumili lang ng lumpia...pero pag nadaan ka ng raon experince mo lang..for fun..lol

The lumpiang sariwa here is even more delicious than the one from New Po Heng in Binondo. That's saying a lot, because I love New Po Heng. Do not underestimate the seemingly small serving size either. Only had two servings on a sitting and they were more than enough to make me full. 1285229786128076

You can find the best fresh lumpia in the crowded place of quiapo. Waited for an hour just to buy a dozen of this lumpia (P16 /pc) but worth it! Me and Gf loved it! 9786128077128076

Imagine this place has been running for 50 just by selling fresh lumpia. service is really good, though during lunch hours you will have to wait for a seat since it's usually packed with people. That's how yummy the lumpia is! Filled with lettuce, cooked bamboo shoots, cooked garlic with their famous brown peanut sugar! I'm a very fussy eater, and i have always steered clear of fresh lumpia, but globe lumpia has gotten me converted. a jewel in the middle of quiapo, can't wait til my next visit
