I'm not going to lie, for a five star hotel the Pan Pacific has the worst coffee. I go downstairs to Gloria Jean's instead. Sure, it's not exactly cheap, but the caramel latte is delicious, the macadamia frozen drink is insanely delicious, and the espresso/cappuccino/cafe latte's are tasty as well. I see one person mentioned ordering a Cafe Americans and it sucked. Why would you do that at a place like this. It's espresso in a coffee cup filled up with water... Of course it's going to suck. Order the coffee of the day which is just beefed coffee. Anyway, I have tried the muffins and I'm not a fan. They are cold and dry. Maybe if they warmed them in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds they would be okay but they don't. Also, the cookies taste stale to me. I have not tried the sandwiches though and they look good.

I come here often because of its proximity to UP-PGH where I study and work. Some of the staff members are very good while some are so-so. You would expect inconsistent quality of products and service depending on who is/are manning the place.

The cafe is within Pan Pacific Hotel premises so it feels safer (with the security and all). There are other food outlets in the area so you will not get tired with the choices so easily. They close very late (1am) so I can do a lot of school stuff or work here.

With the time I have been spending here since my friend brought me to this place, it has definitely become my second home. The pros definitely outweigh the cons (for me) that's why I'm still giving it a perfect score. :)

I was waiting for my Lola as she process her VISA. I saw Gloria Jeans within reach so I decided to order Banana Nutella (P80) and a small Coco Loco Chiller (P125).

Their Banana Nutella was a Banana Cake that I can buy from the market for P10-15. I was looking for the taste of nutella and I realized yung nutella, ginuhit guhit lang nila sa taas (Photo). Lang kwenta! They wanted to get their prices like Starbucks and CBTL but they don't have the talent to back it up. I bought it to enjoy Nutella goodness pero PAASA! 128548

Their Coco Loco Chiller was very low qual. I can get good coffee at Starbucks for almost the same amount.

Tssss.. 128545

One thing I don't like about GJ is that their coffee is too bitter for my taste.

Ordered Tuna Bun to go with my coffee and its pretty good actually.

GJ will always be my last option. Hehe :)
