Prosperity Salad of Gloria Maris
This is a so-so starter. The usual salad tossed with salmon. I hope they serve the veggies and salmon separately.

My family are very fond of Chinese dishes and as a celebration for my parents' 23rd anniversary, we decided to dine at Gloria Maris Greenhills.

Located at Club Filipino Avenue, Greenhills Shopping Complex, San Juan, the restaurant is divided into five dining areas: the main dining room, VIP rooms, banquet hall, dimsum dining area, and hotpot dining. There are three different menus available depending on your area: hotpot dining, dimsum dining, and fine dining.

The place has really good interiors and a wide dining area. The downside is when the place is jam packed on weekends, it loses the feel of fine dining and the dining hall can get really crowded and noisy.

Our food cravings are in the dimsum dining so we opted for that. Here are the things that we ordered:
-Chicken and Corn Soup. A really good appetizer. The consistency is good and tastes just right.
-Hakaw/Hakao (Shrimp Dumplings). My favorite dumpling. What I like about their hakaw is that it is generously stuffed with the right amount of shrimp. Very satisfying for a hakaw freak like me.
-Birthday Noodle. I like that this noodle is saucy and it has quail eggs in it. The ingredients were also added generously and tastes good.
-Beef Brisket and Wanton Noodle Soup. A single serving of this can actually serve and satiate two people. Also a good serving.
-Yang Chow Fried Rice. There were four of us who shared this yang chow but we were not able to finish it because of the amount of dishes that we order. Their yang chow is also mixed with generous ingredients, especially the shrimp (which are only few in other restaurants).
-Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet. The fish fillet is served with the sauce separated. The sauce is very tasty but not too sweet. The texture of the fish is soft and made just right. The good plating is also a plus.
-Asado with Honey Sauce. Having this asado reminds me of having a good pata tim with less guilt. The honey sauce, with the right sweetness, is also a good combination for the dish.
-Baked Pork Buns. Baked buns are a craze in Manila right now and it's no wonder that people are loving it because the sweetness of the bun and good pork filling is really addicting. The taste, softness and texture of the bun is really good that you keep asking for more.
-Mango Pudding. After having all of these, a good dessert is what you need to complete your dining experience. I love the way that the mango pudding was molded to look like a rose.

Got ourselves a full table. By the way, we also ordered hot jasmine tea; something that you can't miss on a Chinese dining table--not to mention that it has a lot of health benefits. Their dishes are also free of MSG and non-greasy: a win-win situation for me.

This biggest restaurant can house three weddings at at time and actually has three segments- dimsum, hot pot and fine dining. I am here for two good friends wedding and they hosted more than 50 tables.

Like almost all lauriats do, we jump started this 12 dish stretch with fine cold cuts of steamed chicken, rich flavored asado, crunchy pork belly and slimy seaweeds. This big platter got wiped out quickly.

Two Tone Seafood Soup was quite a site. A yin yang look was interesting as it tasted. The orange side was thick with rough texture while the white smooth and rather creamy. Now this was a welcome look from this tradition.

My favorite here was their Fried Pigeons. It was a bit greasy but way too tasty to notice that. I think I had 6 slices of this finely prepared meat. Besides having this poultry is a rare thing.

Steamed Lapu Lapu was another sensational dish. This fresh fish was well seasoned, its meat falls of the bone very easily. It’s almost automatic to have this on your lauriat.

We also had Salted Egg Crab. The presence of salty egg was felt but would have been better if served sauce style than fried in. Flavor could have penetrated better.

For desserts, I enjoyed the Malayco or their version of puto. Its soft and sweetened perfectly. The other two we had, Coffee Jelly and Hot Taro Sago was a miss.

Came here on Black Friday. Glad they were opened and wow super filled with guests. The good thing was that it didn't take long before we were seated.

Me and my friend were seriously craving for some Mango Sago and some Dimsum so that it would change up the flavor and not be just sweet.

We wanted the dimsum to come first but noooo. The mango sago came first! 128541128541128541 we were starving so we gobbled it up. Pro tip: order the one good for 6 pax even if you are just 2. It's much cheaper and bitin ang 1 cup on a hot summer day! 128540 1 cup is 150 pesos ! For 6 is 350 pesos !

The dimsum took way long like the table beside us ordered the same time as us and they got their dimsum first! They were billing out before our dismsum platter came.

Good thing was food tasted great ! 128521128076🏻
Yum yum !

We were invited for a Chinese feast to celebrate my uncle's birthday. Food was served family style and the dishes were served one at a time. We had no idea what the family ordered. The anticipation was killing me but it was actually fun guessing what the dishes were.

My favorites
🔹Salted Egg Crab - I need practice eating crabs. It was quite challenging but I was able to scoop out most of the meat after cracking some of the shells. Loved the flavor of the salted eggs but I think it would have been better as a sauce where I could dip the crab meat.
🔹Duck served 2 ways - i liked the crispy minced duck that was served with lettuce. It was so addicting and I even ate it with just the Fried Rice. I had the duck meat and skin with hoisin sauce rolled in the thin wrapper. I also ate just the meat and skin with Fried Rice.
🔹Hot Salad - The prawns had a light crunch. Loved how it tasted with the sweet mayo. I enjoyed how big the curled up prawns were.
🔹Mango Sago - like drinking mango shake minus the ice
🔹Fish - It didn't look that appetizing but it was soft and fresh. The sauce was great.

Service, like my other visits, could still be improved on. It takes a while for them to bring our requests and you really need to call their attention. I wish they conversed more and explained what dishes or at least the name of the dish they were plopping onto that giant lazy susan.

I had an awesome time with the fam bam with delicious overflowing food.

This is a default place where we usually go to if there are any occasions. Shabu shabu. I quite don't appreciate shabu shabu because it's kind of like chopseuy soup? I just like eating the meat balls. Dip it in the special sauce (szechaun, peanut, saté sauces, garlic and green onions) that you'll make.

I suggest you put the noodles last. The scallops, if you're getting a platter, is also suggested to be put later.
They also offer bento meals and ala carte.
I personally like the chicken and prawn salad! The broccoli and mapo tofu were good as well.

Fresh ang seafood. There ate aquariums where you see prawns, eels, etc ready for cooking. Lol.

The place is jampacked with Chinese --well dressed ones--because it's where wedding receptions were held. Parking (what's new?!) here is difficult especially on a weekend. But i heard there's no clamping on a weekend. CR is somewhere in between the new and old gloria maris junction.

Overall i like the place nmn. 128513
