I think they are not charging terminal fee here because when we checked in, we didn't pay anything or maybe it was included in our flight from
Cebu Pacific. That I do not know.

The airport was clean but small. The pre-departure area has a second floor. Wifi was working well. Sound system was okay also. Too bad we had to transfer to Kalibo Airport as our flight was cancelled (boo!). But Cebu Pacific gave us complimentary one way flight valid up to 6 months and they gave us free shuttle ride to Kalibo Airport and refunded the Php 200 terminal fee which we didn't pay for (atleast they compensate our time and energy from travelling). They also gave us free meal. I was hoping it was only a cup of noodles but when I was claiming it from their airport gate staff, he gave me 1-piece chicken joy meal and a bottled water.

Boracay Airport was good for me but they need to improve their facilities so it will attract more tourist.

Summertime means one thing, let's go to the beach, beach! Let's go getaway! It's time to hit the sand, feel the heat and enjoy the sun!

Good thing work can be an extra blessing at times. We had a scheduled event at one of the Philippines' most beautiful islands, Boracay! Yay!

Boracay is actually considered as one of the country's top destinations during summertime and almost everyone finds time to visit it when they could.

From Manila, we took the flight going to Caticlan (Boracay) with Air Asia at around 9AM and arrived at the Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, the island's airport, at around 10:30AM.

The airport of Caticlan is actually really small as it's a small island as well. Upon embarking out from the airplane, you'll instantly see the airport with its large name sign - GODOFREDO.

Upon entering the airport, staff greeted us instantly and welcomed us in the airport and the province with their neat looking composure and happy faces. They asked us to register for database purposes and assisted us with our needs.

The airport was clean upon entering it. The floors were clean and it was well ventilated in all areas. The comfort rooms were polished, cleaned well and organized so you would feel comfortable to use it.

Despite its small size, the Godofredo P. Ramos Airport is actually a provincial type that's nice and can be developed even more.

For a busy tourist spot such as boracay, couldn't they at least provide enough seats for more than half of the expected passengers? While my ass is getting cold from the floor tiles of the staircase I've been sitting on for an hour, half of the foreigners are mad from their 3hr delayed flight! Even heard one of them said this is the shittiest travel he's ever had. Can't blame the guy though.... 128530128530128530

It's small but it's enough to accomodate bakasyonistas and tourists. The place is very orderly. They even have a registration sheet to count for those who will go to Boracay. Tourism at its finest.

Cute, clean and well maintained! 128516 Sometimes quite freaky though, thinking about the short ramp but the 2 times I went to Boracay via Caticlan, it was always a smooth flight. 128522

The best gateway to the island paradise of Boracay!
From Manila, excluding check-in and waiting time at the airport, you'll be on the island in less than 2 hours. It's faster to go to Boracay than to go to QC from Makati during rush hour. :)

Boracay Airport in Caticlan is fairly new since it is a newly constructed building. Once you get off the plane, you just need a little less than 10 minutes to get your checked-in bag and out of the airport.

In case you don't have a place to stay yet, there will be lots of offers once you are outside of the airport. And if you have arranges transfers, it won't be that hard to see your name on their boards.

Only small aircrafts are able to take-off and land at the runway here at the moment, but construction is on-going to make it possible for bigger planes to land and also have flights during night time.

For Caticlan ticket holders, of you can't afford to miss out this airport if you're bound for Boracay. The airport is not too big. What I loved most about is that you don't have to wait for several minutes to pick up your baggage. If you just landed, the carousel baggage can be seen upon entering the airport itself which means less hassle for travellers. There are also several people lined up after claiming your baggage representing a hotel, and they will offer you the best deal they have, in case you don't have a hotel reservation yet. The airport has a strong wifi connection too!

Propeller planes are the only planes that can land here due to small ramp way.

The gateway to Boracay Island!

This is the closer albeit smaller airport for Boracay which means only the smaller planes can land here.

I've also experienced the time when our flight had to be diverted from Caticlan back to Kalibo since the last plane out couldn't land because of the wind conditions then.

Really a big hassle if that happens since the airlines always price the Caticlan tickets at a premium.

The terminal is now a whole lot better than what it was then, now with AC and more chairs to wait on. Could use some real establishments for food and snacks, not the current "sari sari" stalls which serve the same things.

This airport has really improved a lot compared to the last time I visited Boracay (2011)!

What's new:
- Electronic gadget charging station
- More stable and faster Wi-Fi
- 2nd flr
- More souvenirs and goodies to bring home to Manila! 128077

Airfares going to this airport are much more expensive than Kalibo Airport but it's nearer to Boracay's Jetty Port and Island.
