From the outside, the place already looks so Japanese. The interior was okay.

We ordered chicken teriyaki (P190) and Ebi Tempura (P240), both orders came with a cup of rice.

The Chicken Teriyaki was okay, presentation was good but the flavor doesn't taste like the normal chicken teriyaki in other Japanese restaurants. The teriyaki almost tastes like a sweeter Pinoy adobo.

I liked the Ebi Tempura better, it was crunchy and the shrimp was cooked exactly how I like it. I only dislike that it was a bit oily and the presentation was a bit off since the breading was too oily and it wasn't breaded nicely. I didn't finish the last tempura because I feel like all the oil was absorbed by that last tempura.

The crew were very attentive. We didn't order any drinks we just wanted water and they always see to it that our glasses were never empty.

For those who love Ramen, they also offer Ramen-all-you-can. I think it's around P250 for one choice of ramen and 350 for any ramen (i'm not sure). Overall, the food was good. But a bit pricey. The place is accessible when in Lilac since it is located in the corner of Lilac St. and Rainbow St.

Gokinjo is a new Japanese-inspired restaurant in Marikina along Rainbow St., a few steps from the food street Lilac. Still on it's soft opening, my friends and I visited the place to try their version of ramen. For starters, we ordered the tofu fries and kani salad. Then for the soup based meal, I ordered the Tantanmen (3rd pic), and my friends ordered the laksa. Serving is generous, price is reasonable, service is fast and the food is delicious. Sabaw palang, busog ka na! 128076🏻 And since one of my friends is hs batchmates with the owner, she gave us complementary desserts to end the meal - the white chocolate and ginger blondie (1st pic) and their version of tiramisu (2nd pic). The tiramisu is good, but I did enjoy the Blondie more. The taste of the ginger is present but not too powerful, and the ice cream and caramel drizzle just balances the flavor. The peanut brittle-like food decor was just Instagram worthy. 128514 I will definitely come back 10084
