New job means having to go through all those hassle to the muscle requirements. I absolutely hate pre-employment medical exam and NBI clearance. I wasn't able to roam around Ortigas after my medical exam as I had to rush to R's office as we had an appointment with someone. I then made sure that I have a bit of time to roam around Robinsons Galleria after having my NBI clearance processed.

I was impressed that lining up for NBI clearance was not as long as before. It took less than 2 hours this time. Woohoo! It means I could have lunch early! Not!

After circling 2 floors, I decided to have some work done and canvassed for showroom merchandise. Since my attempt to find anything nice was a total failure, I went around again for something to eat. And it was sad... really sad that I didn't find any appealing. Galleria, what happened to you???

Since I was thirsty too, I just went to Gong Cha for a quick drink. I got Strawberry Black Tea (PHP85, medium) and asked for 30% sugar coz... someone gotta watch one's figure. (Joke! I was told that it was already sweet because of the syrup used and I wanted a thirst quenching drink and not dessert in liquid state.)

I made the right decision! It was refreshing and did quench my thirst. It was more black tea than strawberry though and I slightly regretted not getting sinkers for it. But, nah. Calories. 128517

Note to self: Do not go to Robinsons Galleria. (Though to be fair, the mall's washrooms are clean!)

Thank God the milk tea stayed. When it was so popular years back, it had the tendency to disappear. These drinks are liquid desserts. Perfect to have while walking.

So I had my Salted Caramel Choco as I walked to our restaurant. It was an experimental drink. It had a foam on top that when mixed with chocolate made it light and sweetened just right.

I normally opt to get their Taro Milk Tea or chocolate. I suggest going for the most 50% sugar and even more ice for a refreshing kick.

I already had an idea where to spend my free time in Galleria. But as I ordered my tea, I saw a post saying "there will be a Php5 increase in our drinks" and that just broke my heart. I mean even though Gong Cha is worth every penny I spend, it just hurts to pay an extra php5. Hopefully it is only in this branch :(

Moreover, this morning they did not have pearls and Alisan tea.. But it's okay! I still love Gong Cha without those two 128523

Although i'm a huge fan of milk teas, i'll give this one four stars only. I find their wintermelon milktea a lil too sweet. Though i haven't tried others. Maybe next time, i'll try other drinks and i'll then give this my shining five stars. Lol 128513128521

Hubby and I especially enjoy their special wintermelon milk tea... Love they top it off with like a creamy chessy topping. Yum!! I wish they had more branches which are accessible. Also appreciate the fact that their teas are not as overpriced unliked other tea places out there.

This is my first time here and, I have to say, I wasn't disappointed at all.

Their Taro Milk Tea is superb and the pearl sinkers were not too rubbery. The sweetness is just right at 50% sugar content.

The price is also comparable to other tea shops so it's not gonna be an issue for MT lovers such as myself.

It really irks me that pearls for your drink is not yet inclusive on the printed price. Pearls and Milk Tea is the combo de rigueur nowadays. Might as well have some on the list that are already paired.

I forgot what exactly I ordered during this visit. The drinks were just that... Forgettable.

What I won't forget is the regret of shelling out 100 bucks each for two small drinks that didn't even satisfy. I should've bought cold mineral water for P20 instead and that would've done the job better.
