We had an impromptu early dinner in GRAMS diner cos my teammate misses dining there. Upon entering, the only diner feel I got was from the booths. The rest was red and black and it felt more like a drinking place.

It was my first time so I didn't know what to get. I went safe and ordered a grilled porkchop served with buttered veggies on the side. The meat was tender and easy to slice but it was a bit dry.

Still like the place and their tapa but I loved them before they refurbished and rebranded. I have mixed feelings.

My Birthday breakfast with my food buddies. We ordered Signature Silver Dollar Pancakes, Spicy Buffalo wings and since it's my birthday they had a free Fish and Chips.

I thought the food here was like more than iHop pricey foods but i was wrong. The service was also terrible since our waitress is not that very helpful and we didn't understand each other on the first order and how she explained about the Fish n Chips fee.

I recommend iHop and Pancake house if you want to satisfy your pancakes cravings.

Anyway i don't want to rant anymore. I'm just not goin back here. K thanks bye.

My sister accompanied me to St. Luke's BGC and so I had to give in to her request to have daing na bangus for lunch. I suggested Grams Diner because I enjoyed their bangus when I ate here with Chichi, Kirby and JP after one of our badminton sessions.

128261 Daing Na Bangus
Boneless milkfish (bangus) served with garlic fried rice and sunny side up egg. My sister definitely enjoyed this! Their boneless bangus was fried until extra crispy. It was well-marinated, she didn't even need to dip it in vinegar or toyomansi.

128261 Grams World Famous Beef Tapa
USDA beef tapa with plain rice and sunny side up egg. It's originally served with garlic fried rice but I had it replaced with steamed white rice. Their tapa is really good. It was thinly sliced with just the right amount of fat. Their tapa isn't the sweet, saucy kind. I prefer their version coz it's dry, crispy and a bit salty. Comfort food indeed. 128523

My friends invited me over for late dinner after working out at the gym. I arrived around 9:45pm and they're already having their drinks over some pulutan. Since I haven't had any meals yet, I settled for one of their entrées - the Smothered Chicken.

It's a grilled chicken fillet dish mixed with mashed potato and then drenched with brown sauce, and melted cheese on top. The serving was a bit small for its price of Php350. The chicken was a quite bland and lacks some flavor, imo; while the mashed potato was good. Overall, it's fine but nothing really remarkable if you ask me.

The service had been good although the place was quite packed when I came in. My friends kinda liked their nachos and wings although it's a little pricey compared to other places serving the same array of dishes.

My wife's all time favorite tapa, Gram's Diner is one of our top breakfast / brunch choices in BGC. Too bad it's their one remaining branch after their ABS and Rockwell branches closed na. I've been here so many times but I think this is my first review for Grams so I'll try to put my most recent experience, followed by my overall assessment from past visits.

The dish in the pic is their Burstin' Breakfast. Had them make the bacon extra crispy (done!), with 2 eggs (prefer them soft scrambled), sausage and ham. It's supposed to also have their home fries and toast but since I requested them to convert it to hash brown, you only see one hash brown instead. Good trade. I don't want my potatoes soft and would pass on the toast, anyway. It was like pulling an arm for them to grant me the change on the side but nakabawi naman service nila and food. Hopefully they'll reconsider this as manager's prerogative moving forward. Ala Bistro Group (TGI Fridays).

Love the food because I enjoy breakfast food, especially all day breakfast food types. For their Burstin' Breakfast, at P350, I think it's worth it. It'll be pricey compared with the likes of Recovery Food, but it'll be along the lines of Stacy's and (the now closed 128546) Mr. Jones. Nothing extraordinary, just solid and gets the job done. Plating is also good, as breakfast places go. 3.5/5

Generally, I find their breakfast meals to be good. Better than average, though I find it at par with the best days of Heaven and Eggs (that was a decade ago, not the current incarnation), IHOP (though IHOP suffers from hype overpowering the delivery of taste and seevice) and falling short of Mr. Jones. I've had their best selling World Famous Beef Tapa (Rating: 3/5 for me as I prefer mine a bit more moist and sweet, but I'm sure Trina B would rate it a 4 or a 5; #InFairness), Buffalo Chicken Tenders (3.5/5, as my benchmark is the old and now closed? NSG) and Sausage Platter (4/5, love their shoestring onions which reminds me of Chili's and best-ever Racks).

The pull for me here is their Tapa, that is, because it pulls my wife in. 128517

The diner's design is appealing to me-- it is a diner after all, so there's the traditional appeal of table tops, interior design and portions usually expected of diners. 4/5

Maybe what doesn't get this place over the hump is their Inconsistent service. Last Monday 8/31/15, was among their better days, but I've had average to surly and unruly experience in the past.

It was raining hard this morning and we almost cancelled our weekly badminton sesh. But our post-badminton lunch became our motivation to get out of bed and play today. #SaturGains 128541

We we're supposed to head to Recovery Food but JP G suddenly suggested Grams because he missed that place ever since it closed in Rockwell. Of course, Chichi T, Kirby G, and I were just G! 128521

I was torn between longganisa or daing na bangus, and ended up ordering the latter since I realized I haven't eaten fish the past weeks. I liked the uber crispy boneless bangus because it was well-marinated and not "malansa." Perfect with garlic fried rice and sunny side up. 128525

Props to our Ate server because she was super nice and accommodating. She even assisted JP while he was taking food shots, and gave him a free refill of brewed coffee. 9995🏼

Our post-badminton-gains-cancelation meal for today. 128517 I actual really missed Grams. Used to eat here a lot when they had a branch in Rockwell. Whenever I feel stressed or want good greasy comfort food, I knew I could count on grams.

eating here with the badminton crew was just perfect because the food was just yum and there was free coffee (go there to find out how). And kudos to the waitress for giving me a free refill. My caffeine tank is now full. 128563

Since we were really hungry, uts Kirby G split a big sausage and bacon breakfast platter and we still got a dish each on top of that. #buhayBaboy #ChubbyPeroHappy #pagGonzagaGora

I got the Titan Breakfast which was USDA roast beef with a heap of garlic rice and 2 perfectly cooked eggs. I though the meat portion was small but it was heavy. Loved the flavors as its both savory and a bit spicy like curry.

Will definitely be back for more comfort food! 128525128523

Until the next wellness Saturday Carla M, Chichi T, uts.

Tip: Go there during your birthday month because they have birthday promos! I got their tapa for freeee! 128077

The tapa was good. It's a little crispy and and thin, kinda like how I like my bacon. 128513 Even better coz it was free. Huehue. Lucky day!

It pays to look at their promos board by the counter coz we also scored buy 1 take 1 Mojitos! I know a lot of people say it's quite pricey here, but I guess you just gotta be there at the right place, at the right time...

A.k.a. Your birthday month! 127874 128540

The only thing that's cheap here is their coffee, the rest would cost you an arm and a leg. Well, I may be exaggerating, but for me it's really expensive. In fact, the only reason I ordered bangsilog is because it's the cheapest meal in the menu (P195). A slice of cake is also 195, so is the milkshake, so imagine if I order all these in our visit, it means I'd pay more or less 600 bucks.

The interior is industrialized, dark and masculine. I am particularly taken by the unique lighting fixture and the wall adorned with graffiti.

Oh yeah the bangsilog, it was good. The bangus was crispy and boneless and not too oily.

People will probably crucify me for this, but I did not like their tapa at all!

People have been telling me to eat here, all the time, because I love tapa.

But I was sooooo disappointed. The tapa was bland! Super bland. It tasted like... nothing! For a 400PHP tapa meal I was expecting better. Grabe. Kumain na lang sana ako sa Hatch 22. Nakaka-inis! The vinegar wasn't even tastey too. Grabe talaga. Yung kanin ni hindi man lang garlic sinangag.

We also ordered the Eggs Benedict, though the eggs were perfectly cooked, the hollandaise sauce was flat. It was super boring, it wasn't even creamy.

Last but not the least was their Whopper Milkshake, which I thought was absolutely delicious. Like, wow. A silver lining.

Thank God for the milkshake, otherwise I would have rated this place with just one star.

Nakakagulat yung bill namen 1120 para sa tapa, eggs benedict at milkshake.

They have Katipunan beer btw. Which I think is good. Let's support local craft beers. 128077128077128077

It was just ok as it did not meet my expectations based from the pricing.
Taste was good but not worth it.
Serving and presentation is disappointing.
Ambiance is great during the day because of the interior design but it's hot! maybe at the time of our visit they're having defective airconditioning.
Service is fast but the servers are not that friendly and accomodating so I didn't feel satisfied.
Menu as I say... I think it's overpriced and not that much variety.
But you can still try it's a nice place to just hang-out with friends with good stories.

It's so good to have a brekky here at grams. So much satiated with IHOP or Maple, so it's great to try something new. There's no special in here. The food was good.
