Green Cheese is one of the first stalls to open at HITW.  They have been dishing out excellent Japanese Cheesecakes way before the hype started.

We meet again,  Green Cheese.

I wanted to overdose on Matcha hence i got myself a cup of the matcha latte and a slice of the matcha cheesecake.  The latte is excellent as expected.  Perfect proportions of matcha and milk.  I enjoyed every sip.   The cheesecake is equally good as the texture is soft,  it is like biting into clouds.  There's not enough matcha though but i ain't complaining,  i get my matcha dose from ze latte.

Green Cheese is a haven for anything matcha.   Another visit is in order,  the matcha lava cake is too darn green,  simply irresistible.

When I found out about the Brewfest happening at Century Mall, I immediately scouted the restaurants that I can crawl around while I'm in the area. 128522 & I found this literally #holeinthewallplace 10084

I found this dessert place and scanned everyone's review or what's good to try here. And Clarissa P 's cheesecake review caught my eye, which is a reason why I bought a whole cake 128513

OMG! I am not a cheesecake fan but the texture of the cake is very light, not sweet. It IS indeed a slice of heaven 128525128525128525

MATCHA overload 128525128523

My family loves anything matcha. So I ordered some of their drinks: matcha smoothie (170PHp) and iced matcha latte (120PHp) and a slice of matcha cheesecake slice (60PHp). Both drinks were yummy and you can taste the matcha goodness. We like the softness of matcha cheesecake. Our matcha cravings were satisfied. 128077🏼

Will surely try their other drinks and desserts next time.

Before the election frenzy, there was mother's day. It was quite refreshing to see love and positivity in my FB Feed in such a long time!

Anyhow, just days after my birthday, the husband was again obliged to get me something for mother's day. I'm no bouquet of flowers kind of gal and would readily choose a cake over the colorful petals. The husband was more of the bouquet giver and would sometimes insist and just surprise me. Great thing this special day he found a great compromise 128514 Green Cheese's Mom's Day Matcha Mousse Cake was the perfect one! Matcha x Cake x Bouquet of Buttercream flowers!

Any matcha lovin momma would LOVE this! Imagine Green Cheese's signature Matcha Cheesecake - soft and fluffy with just the right sweetness - layered with white chocolate mousse and finished off with a top layer of Matcha Mousse. It's sweet, matcha-liscious and one hell of a cake!

Loved the white chocolate layer which gave another dimension of flavor, breaking the monotony of all the Matcha Layers. Also loved the buttercream flowers! Really gorgeous and yummy too! The mousse layers were smooth and thick and weren't cloying. Just the right cake for me! Only problem: I didn't want to stop taking pics of this pretty cake PLUS it was so hard to slice it coz how can you destroy that beauty?!? LOL

Belated happy mom's day to all |ooloo lovin mommies out there!

It's been a while since I've eaten a Japanese Cheesecake. Last time I had was in Niu and prior to that, when I was in highschool which was almost 10 yrs ago 128514

Believe me or not, I can still remember the one Ive eaten when I was in highschool. It was super delicious. It was fluffy, light and moist and it was legit from Japan because my uncle once worked in a pastry shop in Japan. Since then, I searched and searched for a good Japanese cheesecake. The one in Niu is a little heavy so I did not like it but when I got to taste this just earlier this morning, gaaaaahhhhhh I died!

I ordered the classic one and just a slice because I don't want to get disappointed. I was wrong. The first bite melted to my mouth. It's so delicious and it's really close to the one I had when I was in highschool. Too bad I forgot to take a picture of it for the sake of this review hahah. The only downside of this is the serving. It's a little small. Nabitin kaya ako! 128513 but all in all, the experience is all worth it! Next time I will try the chocolate and the matcha flavor 128513 yep, there's definitely a second time. 127856

I'm a huuuuuuuuge fan of matcha, so when i heard that this place is almost all matcha.... I just had to try it!!

The drink that i ordered is just their classic matcha smoothie. It's yummy but half way through medj na-umay na ako :( Maybe because it's too sweet????
Plus, everytime i eat/drink matcha i compare it to St. Marc's matcha... Baka dahil dun? But idk, something's lacking.... But all is well. Masarap pa rin naman siya so 128129🏿128076🏿

My love for Green Cheese will never end. It's like a magnet that pulls me whenever I'm in HITW. I always tell myself that "I will not get dessert from Green Cheese today" but as soon as I'm done with my meal, I find myself standing in front of their stall trying to figure out what to get. It's just so irresistible.

I have been wanting to try their Matcha Lava Cake for quite some time now but I always find myself too full, wanting a light dessert. So, on this particular visit I decided to get just a slice of their Original Japanese Cheesecake. It was a slice of heaven! Just what I needed after my salad dinner! It was light and soft and fluffy! Melt in your mouth goodness! It wasn't too sweet and I love the moist center. One slice was not enough, I ended up buying a whole cake to go! 128553

I like their matcha smoothie. The matcha taste and sweetness is enough for me. It does not have that bitter after taste. If you are looking for that kind of matcha drink, this might not be one for you. With regards to ambiance, Hole in the Wall is generally a cool place to hangout in.

After all the eating at Hole in The Wall, this was the perfect way to end our meal.

I've tried a lot of Cheesecakes in Japan and I have to say that the original cheesecake here lived up to my standards of what a Japanese Cheesecake should taste like. It's light and airy, and unlike a lot of desserts, it won't make you feel weighed down at all. It is soooo good. You can also get a matcha variety, though I've only tried the original.

Green Cheese Japanese Cheesecake is simply a MUST if you are on a food crawl at HITW and have a sweet tooth; you will hardly be able to find anything in it's likeness anywhere else.

Cheers
Mickey

Hello, Green Cheese, the happiest cheesecake in the world!

This cake stall caught my interest when Jin Perez of Jin Loves to Eat featured it on her blog. From the smiling Japanese cheesecakes to the nice façade (with a swing), Green Cheese sure screams kawaii!

I decided to go for Green Cheese’s plain cheesecake (PHP50 per slice or PHP350 for a box) and custard pudding (PHP120).

Since I asked the lady to hold my cake for me until I finish the food I ordered from another concessionaire, I sat right across the stall so that I won’t forget the desserts I bought.

When I got my desserts, I noticed that it looked… small. But my frown turned downside up when I tasted the cake. It was so soft and had that light yet delectable buttery taste. It was love at first bite. And it would have been a grand wedding if I had it with coffee. I will definitely buy a box next time!

The custard was delicious as well. Though I wasn’t really fond of the caramel at the bottom, the thick and chilled custard was a great way to end a meal.

Got the chance to visit Century Mall the other day after a fiery hot lunch in a restaurant nearby and I went straight to Hole in the Wall. I needed some dessert after all the spicy and salty food I ate! Went to check what new stuff Green Cheese has and saw that they offer Taro Japanese Cheesecake. I got it without thinking twice because I LOVE ANYTHING TARO!!!! I got a slice and checked out their beverage options. The staff voluntarily offered their combos and so I got and a cup of Iced Green Tea Latte to go with my cheesecake.
The Japanese Cheesecake had a lovely purple hue with some creamy and light filling in the middle. The cheesecake itself was as usual great – so soft, light and fluffy! It had just the right consistency and sweetness. The filling made it all better. Each bite was a delight – almost melt in your mouth!

Then the Iced Green Tea Latte – in my opinion, this could use some more Matcha powder. But then that’s just me because I love a strong kick of Matcha. My hubby, who’s not a big fan of Matcha said that it was good with the right balance of milk and Matcha.

Green Cheese has definitely leveled up their dessert game from the last time I paid them a visit! They have a lot in their menu now including some ice cream and lava cakes and lots and lots of Green Tea options too. More reasons to go back to Hole in the Wall then.

I tried exploring by buying their puddings--the one in the bottles. I got the matcha pudding, but i hope i sticked to the original cheesecakes. The pudding was super runny and watery and i like it more cold :( maybe this one is a bad batch? 128547

1. Matcha
2. Matcha LAVAAAA
3. Matcha Lava a la mode! 10084

Matcha was a recent discovery and since I had a habit of having Spot Dessert Bar's Matcha Lava, that oozes with chocolatey matchaey goodness served with matcha ice cream, I was very upset that Manila did not have Spot Dessert Bar! 128148

So, I tried to find alternatives that could top up that matcha experience.

Green Cheese is the first matcha lava I have tried. I think I paid 280-320 PHP on this one. Serving was just for one tiny person like me. I had to share. It sucked but I was generous enough. It was yummy but not as yummy as Spot's matcha lava though it was still good. I'm still craving it right now. It takes a bit of time for them to serve. I waited for like 15-20 minutes for it. Its really a one person serving if you're a
Matcha Lover!

They have other matcha desserts that are to love and die for. Will be coming back!!

Green tea Japanese cheese cake.

Japanese cheesecakes are just amazing. This was soft and fluffy with a hint of matcha. I wonder how easy it is to make one because I haven't really tried one that was terrible.

The slice was just enough to satisfy my dessert craving post Fire in the Hole + Bad Bird. So small you can fit it into your mouth in one big bite. So depends na lang how hungry you are. I ate it pa-cute style with a tiny fork and in several bites to savor my dessert. I prefer a little more matcha. Plus sana they kept it chilled, not at room temp.

Nothing mind blowing here as Japanese cheesecakes are pretty common in the metro. But at 50 pesos a slice it was a good cheap treat to end my lunch in Hole.

Hole in the wall!! 128515

I was in manila in august 2015 & i was alone had no one to go with!! Zzz So i called up my hs friend. Luckily, he was staying at makati!! 128513 Catching-up & laag time na!

& now i had no idea on where to eat or go to new places in manila, so i let my friend decide where to go & he suggested a place in the century mall. Hole in the wall daw kasi he never tried it so there we go. 128513

Btw, we already ate our lunch & now were up for some desserts! So we found this Green Cheese 128513 & what i saw first was their greentea's (looks good) most especially their greentea pudding & it was put in a cutie mini jar :) Now for my friend he ordered a set which cost 120 pesos (for the cheesecake & a pair of coffee) it was already sulit! The cake also tastes good but then greentea pudding was good too but too little! Psh & it cost 130 pesos just for the mini jar but stil haha. 128514128514

But! I regret it in the end because i never realize that they also had greentea cakes! Zzz hoping to try them next when i visit this place again. Hihi. 128513128077
