Its been a long time since I got to eat at any Greenwich outlet so I dont have any recent memory of the food they serve here. What I remember is the food they used to serve many years ago when Greenwich was still a small company and was not yet part of a food conglomerate like it is now.

When I was ordering I had in mind the classic pizza I used to enjoy here in my younger years. Basically I had 'Pinoy' pizza in mind - the likes of 3Ms or Lotsa Pizza's - because thats how Greenwich tasted when I was growing up.

Since I couldnt find any picture of a pizza resembling what I had in mind, I ordered the classic Ham & Cheese pizza they had on the menu, thinking that maybe this was the one I used to enjoy.

What came to my table was different. It was a pizza quite similar to Pizza Hut - the crust, sauce and all. This was definitely not the Greenwich of old. Add to that, the pizza had a few ham pieces and the cheese was not plentiful. All I could taste was the tomato sauce. It was like I was eating baked bread with tomato sauce. It was such a letdown.

This got me thinking. Why did the new owners of Greenwich buy the company when they would change the very recipe that made Greenwich popular in the first place? Or did the original owners only sell the name but not the recipe? Either case, I wouldn't be buying their pizza unless I didnt have a choice. Why would I buy their pizza if it tastes the same as Pizza Hut or the other American pizza brands? I'd get the American brand since they make better of that type of pizza. For my 'Pinoy' pizza craving I'd have to go somewhere else.

The service was fast. The cashier/order taker was so energetic, very accurate and accommodating. The food was yummy, hot and in excellent quality. I like this branch.
