We had Grilla Feast and Grill-A-Palayok for a hearty family-size boodle fight haha! We were fencing our way into the good stuff! Yum! Their chicharon Cebu though is not in any way comparable to the real chicharon Cebu from Carcar. No way! Too thin, too soft, oily! No way! Haha everything was satisfyingly delicious. P302 each for a group of 7. Not bad. Not bad at all!

Met up with my CMT batch mates for our Christmas get together. Happy to see these lovely folks, especially those I don't always see often.

As usual, we were rowdy and maingay (just how I like it 128077). Thank god we were at grilla and not a fancy Resto.

We chose grilla because this was one of the first places we all bonded together during our interacting phase... And it helps that it's near the office 128514

Food was good too! Their kare-kare, sizzling sinigang, and liempo are a must try. Best if we paired it with beer and hard liquor but we had to go back to work so next time na Lang hahaha 128517

We received an invite for a Filipino tasting event by Grilla Filipino Cuisine. To be honest, I haven't been to Grilla. All I know is that they have that gorilla signage attached on their name.128018

127969 PLACE:
Sophisticated and stylish Filipino theme. Pretty reminded me of Dencio's in Capitol Greenstreet.128513

128107 SERVICE:
*Starting today, I will not put a service comment if I am invited to a event, since it's understood that they will give us their excellent service* 128517

127835127860 FOOD and PRICE:
The chef created different concoctions with their liqueurs. But since we still have our work after that event, we didn't try it. But for those who are interested, check the following:

➡️ Dalandan Liqueur, Calamansi Basil Liqueur, Tarragon Liqueur, Rosemary Liqueur , Cinnamon and Brown Sugar Liqueur. (I guess it's good since everyone keeps on coming back. Not just with shot glasses but with mugs! hahaha)128518

➡️ Chicharong Cebu (160 pesos) - Thin slices of pork fried to perfection paired with vinegar but I would personally prefer this to be saltier.128523
➡️ Pork BBQ & Salted Egg Triangles (P185) - This should be on your must try! One of my favorites! Diced Pork BBQ, with bits of salted egg in a crispy wrapper! The combination is surprisingly good! 128552

➡️ Tofu and Sigarilyas Sisig (145 pesos) - On the other hand, this is a so-so for me. But it's surely a great alternative for those who likes a healthier kind of sisig. 128522

➡️ Inihaw na Manok na Sinampalukan (225 pesos) - Don't let this plain looking dish deceived you! But it's another must try in Grilla! I was curious when I read this one the list. Imagining a grilled chicken on a hearty sour sinagang soup? AWESOME! The grilled flavor of the chicken blended really well with the sinigang soup. ANG SARAAAP! 128522 I only wished Grilla would change the presentation of this one to give justice on this great tasting dish! 128076

➡️ Ilocos Dinuydoy (P135 pesos)– I really loved vegetables that's why this mashed squash with Bagnet is another thumbs up for me. The mashed squash (for some reason) tastes like seafood! Plus the blanched salted ampalaya makes the color of this dish livelier! If you're not a veggie fan, skip this one 128513

➡️ Inadobong Tilapia sa Gata at Sili (P225) - I swear, I wanna take this home so bad. 128542 Who would have thought that you can level up your dish like this? The full bodied sharp flavor of adobo sauce with creamy gata is an excellent way to brighten this fried Tilapia and makes you want to order a another cup of rice!128525

➡️ Lechon Liempo ala Cebu (P850/kilo) - "I don't have to go to Cebu!" That's what instantly entered my mind upon tasting this! Remember when we compared Zubuchon and CnT Lechon? And fell inlove with CNT's Lechon? This is exactly what I tasted. --or close! That salty yet flavorful piggy is having a party in my mouth! Though boyfie noticed that some parts were extremely salty while others are just okay. I also wished that the skin would be crispier. BUT!!! I must say, this is my favorite dish of the entire night! 128522128077

➡️ Poqui Poqui - A classic Ilocano dish that was made with eggplant and eggs. So-So 9996

➡️ Beef Kansi (345 pesos)- This 5-6 hours braised beef pretty reminded me of our Chinese Food in the household, Sibut! The only difference is the spicines it has because of the ginger.

➡️ Grilled Palayok (695 pesos) - I guess this is the star of the night. It was served on a steaming hot palayok. Get ready to be surprise with these varieties of goodies! Mussels, Maya Maya, Shrimps, Clams, Pork and to my surprise, thinly sliced beef! 128558 Interesting that you have to choose what you want, put in a small bowl, garnish with mango and sinamak, then pour with piping hot Lemon Grass soup. 128077

➡️ Halo Halo Spring Rolls (135 pesos) - Unlike the usual fried halo halo we've tried, I loved this! It was generously filled with halo halo ingredients and wrapped thinly, that made us devour this dish even more!

128079 If you are looking for a place to enjoy Filipino foods in an extraordinary way, or simply want to have a good time with friends and family. Definitely will visit Grilla again. 128522

Frozen cappuccino. Php 120. Sa sarap nito, makakalimutan mo ang baha at traffic na dinaanan mo. :)

Definitely, age is starting to show with my reviews. Start off with jack's loft, and now grilla, it's confirmed: I'm stuck in the 90s.

Had sisig, baked tahong, chicharon bulaklak, and green mangoes, with san mig lemon (no judging!). Their sisig rocked. There were 4 of us, and we ordered 3 sisigs total.

Well hello, palpitations.

My friends and I hang out in Grilla whenever we want to have a quiet place to drink.

Grilla is a good place to chill with friends, have a good dinner and a couple of drinks, or if you just want a place to relieve stress.

The ambiance in Grilla is homey and the music is not loud, enough volume to have a feel good music background and still be able to talk to friends. The food is great and not to mention affordable. There's a lot of choices as well.

Definitely a nice place! :)
