Early lunch date today @ City Club in Alphaland Makati, to fill our gorgeous bodies 128522 (to maintain our figure 128517) We went to one of specialty restaurants in the location, its Hai Shin Lou. Located at the 4th Floor.

Upon entering the enormous doors, I love how the place evokes the feel of Chinese palace. Interiors makes everything looks fancy from rich red walls accents, ornate carvings, warrior guards stand displayed against the wall and red lanterns hanging from its ceiling. All in all, this place has superb interiors.

We started with century egg (P50/serving) for appetizer. Authentic tasting, as it has a pungent taste (this is actually my request) and staple favorite, steamed chicken feet (P200)

For the main menu:
Yang Chow Fried Rice (P230)- good for 2-3 pax. As always, this has never failed to be matched with

Peppercorn Squid-(P380) fried to perfection, its soft and delicious. It is served with chopped green bell peppers.

Fried Spare ribs with Salted Egg (P300)- tender spareribs and I love it covered by salted egg. The dish so tasty, no sauce needed128522

Jasmine Tea- served in a teapot. Love the aroma and this is a must for this kind of meals.

Everything is good and so hearty. How I wish I can try more dishes, but serving size is quite big for me & my date. The place has good ambiance plus extra attentive waiters.

First time to try Hai Shin Lou when we went to The City Club about a month (or two?) ago. Since I was on a soft food diet after my dental visit, I ordered asado noodles. An order will cost you P150, but it's smaller than regular servings of noodle soup in other Chinese restos. Taste was just okay.

My dad ordered wanton & beef noodles. Nothing special too. We got asado siopao; it's so tiny, you can finish it in one to two bites.

I'd rather have North Park or Spring if I'm craving for Chinese food.128530
