They deliver!!!! For a minimum of P500, they deliver, there is no delivery fee but they charge for take out boxes. I like that they use the same material as the egg trays. 128077🏽

Been craving for dim sum for a while and it still isn't over. 128532 maybe someone needs to DTF?

Ordered:

Ha kao - steamed shrimp dumpling - it was OK.

Star siomai - basically sharks fin siomai, doubtful
If they use shark in it. Tastes better than the ha kao.

Seaweed and century egg combo - P360. The seaweed didn't have any flavor, it tasted good only on the first bite. The next few ones, i had to douse them in chili oil and toyo. Nope, not the same, maybe better to have eaten it at the resto.

Fried mantao bun - ooh spot on with the crunch and the oil!

Shrimp and scrambled egg fried rice - P380 i thought this was dry. It was a good thing they separated the sauce! The prawn is huge and the rice is tasty. I would probably eat the scrambled egg soup separately.

Sweet and sour pork - i must say that this is my favorite!!! The sauce wasn't mixed into the pork yet (or should it be the other way around), so you have the option of dunking it in to the sauce to get crunchy pork to match your tasty rice.

Sesame balls - buchi - yum!!! They are non-oily when you press on it and it's fried to a crisp but soft inside. The sesame seeds out don't fall and encase your fingers with it so 128077🏽.

Almond jelly with lychee - i asked for extra syrup to perk up the drab and rainy weather, i think they gave me a little extra, but the jelly was just OK.

I don't remember the prices to all the items i ordered, it wasn't itemized in the receipt. I also think that HSL's fried game is on point. The sweet and sour pork, man tao and buchi were all YUMMY!!!
By the way, i think I over ordered. As usual, ordered for a village. I THOUGHT i was going to finish it. 128517This food could last me days pala! Takaw mata! 128540

Can you guess which ones i finished first? 🙂

I went to Hai Shin Lau for shabu shabu, and found out that it actually offers more. It actually offers Chinese lauriat food (including Peking duck) in a more Western setting sans the trite red round tables and noisy setting of traditional Chinese lauriat restaurants. The shabu shabu was just okay though. The sauce was too salty; a light soy sauce would have been better with more garlic. The plain and saté broth were also just okay. I certainly had better shabu shabu, and the place is really not designed for it. It is actually not a shabu shabu place, but a Chinese Restaurant. We also got tempted and ordered Peking Duck and prawn salad. These were better, so I would suggest to go for the Chinese lauriat, instead of the shabu shabu. Overall, good quality restaurant to enjoy Chinese food in a more quiet setting.

Very legit canto restaurant - officially my fav, especially because they have "swimming shrimp" AKA jumping shrimp or steamed suahe as they call it here, for a great price! Am also very fond of their clear broth soups, as any canto person would appreciate.

We got it delivered at our office. I was glad to know they're but a few buildings down - which is awesome.

PHP 2432:
- hakaw
- siomai x 5
- spinach and garlic
- siopao
- xiao long bao
- yangchow fried rice
- peppercorn squid

The hakaw is apparently the best. Didn't get to try it cuz my boss finished it too quickly.

Definitely not our last order from this joint.

Peking Duck, 2 ways...Fish Fillet and Bean Curd Hot Pot (the resto makes their own tofu with eggs, really tasty)...Fried Rice with Dried Olive Leaf...Shrimp and Scrambled Eggs Fried Rice...the list of yum goes on....Steamed Chicken Buns...Stuffed Crispy Eggplant...with over a hundred menu items to choose from. Easy on the stomach but a bit hard on the wallet. Solid, good Chinese food. Will come back on payday.

HAI SHIN LOU Seafood King
SAN LORENZO VILL, MAKATI
NOVEMBER 6, 2013

EFU NOODLES
- First, i didn't know why it was called Efu. Second, it was a bit oily. Third, it has no other ingredient but the flat noodles and mushroom!128533

HAKAW
- Just the normal taste of hakaw..t'was even served really small!?! Nothing excites me at all, the same goes with Siomai..128529

ASADO PAO
- Mini Paos in four, infused with Asado meat..tastes okay to me..sorry not in the picture.

Overall, i didn't enjoy much. My mouth is still oily and has a bad aftertaste from the noodles and siomai..128566

Before my great Australian adventure of 2013, my family decided to give me a send off dinner at Hai Shen Lou, conveniently located between my home and the airport.

We're a big fan of Cantonese cooking and IMHO Hai Shen Lou offers up some of the best Cantonese food in Manila.

We ordered a bunch of dishes but those that stood out for me were the sizzling beef tenderloin in pepper sauce, shrimp dumplings a.k.a. Har kaw and the beef ho fun.

Best part is, they had a 50% off your total bill promo when using your Metrobank platinum card. Nice!

Hai Shin Lou Seafood King Restaurant is located at Makati City along Arnaiz Avenue, unlike Peking Garden(PG) and Choi Restaurant, this restaurant is not very fancy, but interior are well design.

There peking duck for me is ok, I still prefer PG, however for the 2 ways Minced duck meat with lettuce, they did a good good job, better than PG.

The manager suggested their best seller salt and papper fried sea mantis, which i find it very oily. Another suggested one is the fried seafood with egg white, which is one of my fav dish.

Our guest love the stir fried french beans with garlic and the shrimp cake with sweet walnut, overall the food was awesome, thanks to metrobank platinum card for their 50% off promo. 128516128522128515 sana parati 50% off hahahaha
