Since we've been eating in the office canteen almost everyday, we get tired of the food sometimes, which leads us to eat at the mall. There still aren't many options though, and we usually dine in either Bon Chon or Chowking. Last week, we got tired of them too, so we opted to eat at Hainanese Delights instead.

Hainanese Delights serve budget Singaporean meals, and I'm sure heavy eaters will love it because their meals usually include unlimited Hainanese rice. 128521

I got the Hainanese Delights (Php 149), which consist of their best-selling white chicken and hainanese rice. This was just okay. Serving size was quite big and can be for sharing. However, the chicken's bones were all so dark! Not sure if the chicken is not that fresh anymore? The meat was not as juicy as I hoped, too. The rice tasted good though! Too bad I'm cutting down on my rice intake so I did not ask for a second helping. 128546

One of my friends got the Tofu with Mixed Veggies, and it actually tasted old. 128531 The veggies used were all the part we usually throw out from the Baguio pechay's stalks. Too expensive for the food quality. 128543 Our other friend got a set meal for around Php 140 with porkchop, chap chae, rice, and iced tea. The porkchop was sooo small (around half of the usual serving size?), and according to her, the noodles of the chap chae was way overcooked and was too wet for her liking. 128148

Service was reaaaally slow too, and the servers are quite grumpy when you follow up your order. I guess we'll just stick with our usuals next time. 128530

The steamed chicken is good, but not the best. Unfortunately the best one so far is in Tondo Manila :)

I have always been a fan of hainanese chicken, and i think that hainanese delights is the best! The chicken is so juicy and the price is just right.

Chicken rice! Just like in Singapore, but the taste is way better in SG. But the hainanese chicken is good, and it is best paired with the ginger with oil and hainan rice.. And very affordable.. P130 for the chicken with unlimited hainan rice.
