Food is good - well prepared, quality ingredients but nothing that you can't get elsewhere. We got 2 orders of California Maki, Shoyu Ramen, Zaru Soba, Tempura Tendon and 2 kinds of Jap ice cream - Meiji.

I liked the Ramen. Surprised that the broth was so good! All other dishes were good but nothing wow.

But man - this place is expensive! 300Php per order of the "normal" California Maki is too much IMO. The small Meiji ice cream for 180Php each - nope, too much! Can still give it 4 stars at this point but wow! The service is too slow! We waited for a good 20 mins to get our maki, followed up after another 20mins to get the rest of the orders...it didnt end there..my Tempura Tendon was not in yet after another 10mins wait! I had to followup again and when I got pissed - I told them to cancel the order. The lady didn't even comeback to inform me if she was able to cancel or my order was about to be served. After some more waiting - thinking it was cancelled, they served it!

Lots of great Jap resto with the same or even lower price points so yeah - I'm not going back 128527

Authentic Japanese food 128525

Food is superb! I'm sooo happy I get to eat affordable Japanese food again 128523

I honestly wasn't that hungry that I had a problem choosing which dish but it's good that my friends are regular customers of the place that they recommended me to try Tenzaru Soba (Php320).

The dish was good 128077🏻128077🏻 worth trying 128522

I am one happy girl with a happy tummy 12851310084

Another legend of BF homes. I remember first eating here when they newly opened back when I was still in HS (that was more than a decade ago I think). Since then the restaurant's grown, and so has its popularity. From what I heard, the Japanese owner named it after his 2 daughters... Hana and Kazu 128522

I can't pinpoint what specifically to eat here, since everything's steady good - their sushi, yakitori, ramen, gyoza, salads - EVERYTHING. Solid menu selection, solid taste. But I would like to point out their grilled beef cubes with garlic and bean sprouts on a sizzling plate. Love how tender and flavorful it is (you can still taste the butter).

For a solid and steady Japanese meal, Hanakazu is and will always be one of those old reliables.

Clean , Cool , parking assistance though it is located at a busy intersection, great tasting choices ...
P1000/ pax as we ordered...
The Toro Salmon Sashimi was very fine , smooth and rich ... P830.00 nga lang ;-)...
It went well with a chilled Pale Pilsen.
Beef Gyudon was shared as was crisp freshly prepared prawn Tempura , a side order of Maki and my finalé Tan tan men... The broth ranks #1-2 in my 10 tastiest ;-)

My bf and I use to go here years ago, then I guess we stopped as more jap restaus emerged plus we thought that though they already had great jap food, it was quite pricey.

So today we went back, I was surprised on how their menu improved. We only ordered a few basic dish and I know already from what we had that it already got even better! We had cha soba, tempura and saikoro. The saikoro though was a little salty but not over. It's equivalent to kikufuji's version :) we also had salmon and uni sashimi and boy was it good! The uni was the imported kind. It was meaty and so creamy. They have a wide variety of quality sashimi which I'd love to try when I come back. They even have live japanese crablets! 128513

All these was around 2,600. So yeah, it's still quite pricey but at least now I know it's worth it. I'm glad we came back here but I'm even more glad that's it's around the neighborhood. Definitely the best jap restau here in BF Homes :)

The food here is great! The staff are wonderful. What puts me off is the abundance of flies and Mosquitos and how the staff had to zap them. Nonetheless, Hanakazu was great!

Fresh sashimi, tasteful and tender meats! Everything we ordered won our tummies by their sheer quality and taste. We got beef yakiniku, Toro sashimi, special California maki, and chicken set.

Great saturdate dinner food. A bit overwhelming due to large portions if you order alot and you are a first timer. High end pricing.

Finally discovered Tan Tan Men that gave me a better gustatory experience than that of Yushoken. Perfect play of a number of stimuli on several of my taste receptors.

That Saikoro Steak was so good! But it should be if priced at P650! 128514 Yeah, it was expensive. But the meat was so tender and unbelievably juicy. I swear, there was this "pop" when I had my first bite. After that "pop", you can feel the juices. Okay, that might not have sounded appetizing but this really was good. A must-try when you drop by over the south at this resto 128521

Food was okay but a bit pricey. Got their special california maki, daikon salad, katsudon, and tori udon.

The only dish that had the "wow" factor was their daikon salad. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a photo of it. It's a radish with anchovies salad that comes with goma dressing. Had the right amount of saltiness to make you want to finish the whole thing. This will probably be the only reason I'll ever come back here if ever.

Too bad I wasn't that hungry when we decided to eat here. I just had their Daikon Salad and Katsudon -- both of which I highly recommend! I'm only giving them 4 stars though because of their service 128078
