Hanamaruken is one of our go to Japanese restaurants because even if the menu seems limited, you can actually order a variety of things. I think we ordered almost everything except for the rice toppings!
That night we had their spicy ramen (I forgot the name 128517), it was flavored just right with a generous serving of beef. My dad got their pot belly ramen which is also quite hearty and delicious. A visit to hanamaruken wouldn't be complete without their huge and delicious tempura! For me this is really hands down the best in terms of quantity and quality 128077🏼 we also got thei chahan which was served with a lot of dried and fried garlic, yum! The karaage was a tad oily but good nonetheless. For appetizers we got their gyoza which was perfectly crisp on one side and soft on the other.
For my drink I requested for cold tea and it perfectly complemented the other dishes. It's free too!
Service that night was great too, they were all attentive and polite 128077🏼
Really happy that we have this branch so close to us! They really do serve delicious food at ok prices.
Total bill was about 2500 with 2 senior citizen discounts.

#JLJustLanded recommends:

Drunk Man Rice Bowl
--Kakuni with eggs and rice; Good combination of sweet and spicy 128076

Chasyu Ramen
--Braised pork belly; Not a fan of ramen but this one went above my usual Ramen palette 128076

Worth coming back to!

One thing I find very puzzling is the location of this branch. It can be found on the second floor, sandwiched between sports apparel stores. When my girlfriend suggested that we try the ramen place on the second floor, I thought she was pulling my leg. Apparently, she was serious.

When we got there, it was a bit packed but there was one table vacant just for us. I guess this place is not as hidden as I first thought. I was craving for rice and so I’ll reserve a ramen visit review next time. I got the Drunk Man Rice Bowl which they priced at 240 pesos. No, I was not drunk at the time, but the name of the dish caught my eye. Also, it was only 240 pesos, fairly cheap compared to their other menu items. Drunk Man Rice Bowl is basically a rice meal with Kakuni and 2 fried eggs. I am practically torturing myself while I write this review right now. It was so good. The meat was well cooked and the chili provided the right amount of spiciness to

I’m excited for my next visit to this restaurant. I’m planning to get ramen next time. Any ramen suggestions I should get, good friends of the looloo community?

I was pleasantly surprised by this under the radar ramen house from Osaka. Unlike its contemporaries, I rarely see this even make it to mainstream publication, social media or otherwise.

The interiors had the industrial, turn of the century Japan feel. Service was quick and unobtrusive.

Service water and hot tea was served immediately. The Gyoza meat was seasoned well, the wrapper fried to a golden brown but not burnt. The dipping sauce added an extra kick to the delicious meal starter. I had their Salary Man Ramen, the soup had a shiny glistening layer of flavorful fat. The thin noodles was good. For the price of 290pesos, it was quite a steal. Pay extra if you want aji tamago added to your ramen. The iced green tea is what i had hoped for, green tea on ice. Unsweetened.

Senior cards honored but unnoticable since the total equaled to the original bill because of the service charge.

Say hello to their spicy toban Jan ramen! We wanted to try something new so instead of our usual salary man, we decided to try this one out 128522 very good! Really tasty and spiced just right 128077🏼
Also got our fave tempura and a bowl of chahan to share. Must say, their tempura gets better and better each time! Huge prawns with the head included!
Overall, great experience at hana!

They have the best Tempura 10084️ Edemame was great too! They said it would be spicy but it's really mild. Loved it. Tried they Chaschu, Tantanmen and Happiness Ramen. Their best ramen is the Happiness Ramen! Huge serving of Rib included! Ramen is good but Ukkokei still has the best Tantanmen and Ippudo for the other flavors.

Here are the reasons why I love Hanamaruken.
First it's one of those ramen joints that serve good tempura making it kid friendly as far as my family is concerned. Our kids love tempura 128522
Second, they probably have the best value for money ramen, their tonkotsu shoyu chasyu! For P280 bucks, that's is quite a steal right and you don't get the feeling that they skimped on the ingredients just ti make it more affordable.128077128077128526

To make bawi from our disappointing Tenya experience, decided to have dinner here last Saturday just so we can experience their tempura again 128512
One order of 6 pieces with the head is php380, super sulit if you ask me! Large and fresh prawns await your every bite 127844
Also ordered a bowl of pork belly ramen and chahan which we shared.
Service was good and our craving was sated 128077🏼
Total bill was 1k which wasn't bad considering the deliciousness of the food.

Rainy days calls for ramen! 9748️127836

We enjoyed the salary man ramen and the happiness rice bowl. The ramen had a light shoyu broth. The noodle was firm and not soggy. The beef was soft and was flavorful. 128077🏼 This ramen was just perfect for the weather. The beef serving of the happiness rice bowl was generous, we were actually thinking of ordering an extra rice for it. Haha! It was on the sweet side with a hint of salty taste. It was okay but I wasn't able to finish my order, probably because the serving was big.

I liked the interiors of this place. It has this industrial-minimalist (or whatever it's called) look. The cage drop lights were also eye-catching. Ahh, I want one for our home 128556

Service was also good. They were attentive to the customers.

Oh btw, don't forget to order an extra egg for your ramen :)

My bowl of happiness happened again last night. I was craving for another bowl of hot and spicy ramen and Hanamaruken was there to serve us. The first time we tried this place I ordered the Spicy Tobajan Ramen (php300) and Champon (php320) no Gyoza available...bummer 128530 the first time was great, the second time we both had the Spicy Tobajan and ordered Tamago for our ramen and yes! They have Gyoza (php150) last night...I was so happy! 128522128522128522 the taste is so rich I love it! Normally with super rich flavor of ramen I can only eat half of the bowl but this one...I can finish my bowl yum! So yes the taste is just perfect for me, the Gyoza is also delicious I love it! Will come back next time to try the Spare rib ramen 10084

So did the Happiness Ramen live up to its name? Yeah I guess so since I left a relatively happy customer 128539 At first I was a bit hesitant since I noticed pieces of what looked like 'sebo' floating in my broth, but checking pictures on the net, I saw that this is really how it was.

The slab of pork sparerib was huge! The broth was rich and smelled really good. Noodles were thin yet firm. I just found the whole experience a bit too oily (broth + the fat from the sparerib), which lead me to reach my umay limit a little faster than usual. Gyoza was out of stock so I had chahan instead. Tasted great and eating rice probably helped absorb some of the oiliness 128540

Service was good but food was meh.

The happiness ramen brought sadness. The noodles were like instant ones. Nothing special with the broth. Lacks richness. The only thing good with it was the pork. I would have spent my P480 at Yushoken.

The tempura was huge but lacks flavor. I even tasted raw flour.

Not happy at all.

Had Merienda with the wifey. We've never been here before but heard good reviews so the wife and I decided to try it.
We were tired and hungry since we didn't eat breakfast and lunch. The moment the menu arrived. We immediately diced into the ramen. The pics look good, the rice selection and gyoza looked excellent. Pictures are are thing so let's see on taste.
We ordered the signature happiness ramen while wifey ordered the curry tantanmien. It was quite pricy at 480 but the meat that came with it was huge. The ramen was excellent! Broth was on the thin side but did not lack in flavor. My wife's ramen was good too! Not her top 3 ramen but we will come back to try the others! I can't wait. Delicious ramen.
I was very happy after!

Went here right after our Sunday service at CCF....

The decor and total interior design of the resto mix well together...from the royal blue paint..the wall arts...to the led lampshades that adorn the ceiling.

We were seated promptly and given the menu...soon after hot tea and water were served as well.

We ordered ff
2 sparerib shoyu ramen
1 chashu shoyu ramen
1 karaage
1 ebi tempura
1 chahan
1 salary man chahan
3 soda

Total bill P2370---

The tonkotsu broth was delightfully tasty and accdg to wifey is better than Yushoken .

Spareribs and chashu were soft and yet retained its flavors.

I had the salary man chahan and found the pork a little dry and bland.

The ebi tempura was a surprise as the prawns used were huge...they skimp on the tempura sauce though as 2 small condiment saucers full only were given.

The chicken karaage was way better than Yushoken...it's crunchy and tasted like home cooked southern fried chix.

Over all, food and service were good during 1030-11am serving time.

It was my first time to try this place! I've heard a lot of great reviews from my family and they all loved it. I have always loved Ramen and I'm so happy it has been a big hit here in Manila.

My spicy bowl of Ramen was so good! Perfect amount of spice 128076 I also had Tempura on the side and I super love how big their prawns are! Worth it,super!

Cant wait to head back to Hanamaruken and try what else they have 9786️

I ordered the spare ribs ramen. The broth was too salty. The spare ribs on top though was very tender and flavorful though.

We also ordered Gyoza, it was one of the worst gyoza's I've tried to date. A lot of serving but bad quality.

Expensive for the kind of the food they served.
