Hanayo is one of those few places along UST that serves great food but rarely gets packed during lunch time. Maybe it's because majority of the students try to maximize their one hour break and here, you have to be seated, write your orders on a checklist and wait several minutes for your food.

So me and my friends decided to cut Surgery class (none of us want to become surgeons, don't worry guys! Hahahaha!9996🏻️) for some "girl talk" over Korean food. I didn't order anything but had a bite of their Kimchi rice and Kimchi pancake. I liked both but prefer the pancake because of the crunch in every bite. They were just a bit too spicy for me but I guess most Korean dishes are.9786️ I heard that the beef bulgogi and japchae are superb here, trying those out on our next visit.

Oh, and the prices are student-friendly too and most are good for sharing.

Went back to my alma mater to request for my transcript. Alot of changes in and out of the campus but one thing that mezmerized me... Alot of new restos, karinderia, tapahan etc.

I was craving for Korean food so I decided to enter Hanayo Korean Restaurant. Its along Dapitan street just beside Ice Cream House sa USTe.

Semi self service (for me) cause you order your meal but they can still accomodate some of your requests 128512

My choice for today, bibimbap -- i really love this dish whenever I crave Korean food. 127858 it was presented well and its up to you how hot you want it to be128512 good thing cause I got a sweet tooth and Im not ready for a fiery afternoon. It was really good 128512. Serving was just enough for me and yes I'm soo full aftee eating 128521 so incase you drop by UST, dont forget to have lunch here hehehe

We tried eating at Hanayo since I was craving for Kimchi rice. Not bad, but I can't help but compare with the other Korean restaurant nearby..I also tried my friends' tonkatsu. Too sweet for me. The food is cheaper here, the place is more spacious.. I don't know what's missing.. But still, I plan to come back to try their other offerings.

I had tuna kimbap {P120} and fish cakes {P50} ! They're perfect together. I was very satisfied with the food ˓˓ก₍⸍⸌̣ʷ̣̫⸍̣⸌₎ค˒˒128031128031128031

I eat here often and 128150 love their kimbap and sushi. I usually order the one with meat but I'm so happy I tried the tuna today because it's now my favorite! It has much more flavor. Nomnom.

Minus one star because I'm sad they don't give free kimchi and fish cake side dishes anymore huhu.

This has been a staple lunch place ever since 3rd year Med school, which i would say was almost 5 years ago! Wow how times flies..

What i love about Hanayo is that it's near UST, the prices are affordable, the place is cozy & not swamped & most importantly, it's owned by a good friend of mine.128521 i've had a # of favorites as years passed, but the quality is sustained.128076

✅ So bulgogi - when i'm feel like having rice 128513
✅ Sundubu jigae - when i like something lite but kilig to the bones as well 128522
✅ Tuna kimbap - aaahhhh, it's jut really good!
✅ Jajangmyun - i think this is their black, spicy, seafood noodles? Sarap as well!!!
✅ Bibimbap - here was where i had my first. Bowl. Of. Bibimbap. Evvvvvver. It was not my last. 128527

I could go on but it would defnitely be better if you try it out yourself. Oh & BTW, they have Melona for dessert, too.128150128150128150

Just after I started studying culinary last 2011, my bf and I went to eat here after his duty at USTH. Didnt really like it as the food was cold. Food wasnt even nice.

Fast forward to now, my bf and I wanted to eat korean food that night and really wanted to eat at Santorini (our go to place for cheap korean food) but it was full and we were really hungry. So I suggested to try Hanayo again although it was the branch along P.Noval.

We had the kimbap, kimchi pancake, kimchi stew, and bibimbap.

Food was better than what we had before but I still didnt like the kimbap and kimchi pancake. Santorini serves much better kimbap and kimchi pancake.

Kimchi stew was okay. It was tasty but not as good as the ones I had when I was in Korea.

Bibimbap was okay according to my bf.

Traditional bibimbap, nonetheless, the serving was spoonful enough to make you 'burp!' Indeed, a must try.

I ordered my usual curry katsu and it was still delicious! Not entirely satisfied with customer service though. First, I was asked to transfer to another table since I was alone and second, the iced tea took time due to apparent lack of supply of ice.

I usually didn't have a problem with these except that Hanayo has a second floor and I'm not sure why they won't let new customers use it. Also, lack of supply shouldn't be a slight problem for a restaurant like them. They're not exactly carinderias.

A Korean Resto near UST.
My friends and I always order their Rameon (Spicy Noodle Soup) 127836
The Tokbogi & Kimbap are also good.
Food prices range from 80 - 200 pesos. 128184
The service is a bit slow. 128078
