After a dreadful quiz of operations research... my friend and I went here to grab dinner. Luckily we both had parking. We both brought cars to school so yeah... Anyway the place is small and nice but a little too dark for me. It looks like a pub a Chinese themed one I must say. A lot of foreigners (the classy ones). The food was okay. I liked this dish it some sort of asado :p But somehow it reminds of bbq like fatty bbq cause of the char grilled aftertaste

Hao can be described as the "mature" kuya of Good Earth Roasts. They have more items on a more refined menu. But don't get me wrong, manginginom pa rin yung mag utol na ito.

I frequented GER when it was still in Rockwell. It's current site at the Fort Strip is a bit difficult for me to get to. Hao, on the other hand, is conveniently located in Makati. Tucked away in a quiet section of Jupiter Street, it seems like the perfect place to go to for drinks after works.

I had lunch here last Wednesday and I forgot to take photos of our food. Uh oh! Naniniwala pa naman ako sa saying na "If you don't have a pikchur, you did not eat dur." 128543

Oh well! 128540

Our group ordered the following:

✅Kung Bao Chicken
It was slightly salty and lacked the heat you'd expect from a Kung Bao.

✅Crispy Pork with Hoisin Sauce
How can you go wrong with fried crispy pork? I don't like fat but this one just went so well with the hoisin sauce. Artery-clogging good!

✅Hao Sisig
My favorite of the bunch. This sosyal version of the sisig had big bits which made it easy to pick up with chopsticks.

✅Fried Rice
This was so-so for me. But as long as the viands are the stars of the meal I can let that pass.

I couldn't have drinks on a lunch break, so I will definitely come back and see what the night crowd is like. If they're going to be like the GER crowd then I'll have no problem fitting in. 127867

My friends and I wanted a night cap after the annual office event (Quality Excellence Awards night). We were tired so we just went for Jack Coke and interesting and funny conversations. Two of my friends smoke so we chose the smoking area. Sad to say, I felt mosquitos were feasting on my legs. There was a noisy group of 20-something's and we felt like "oh no!", but we didn't bother leaving since we just wanted our night cap. My friend ordered nachos and it was not great at all (probably because it was made of Eden cheese and the tomatoes were cut in quarters). Service was okay though.

I love that this place doesn't have much of a crowd during weekdays. 128077 It's a good place to hang out in after work, or in my case, after a work-out, because I can just waltz in wearing pambahay and nobody would mind.

I also love their outdoor area: it's spacious, presko, and it provides ample overhead covering!

Their food is also very good. I ordered ma-ling chips and spicy chicken. The ma-ling chips are the perfect pulutan: thinly sliced, crisp, maling (spam), served with creamy garlic sauce. 128523 Sarap! I wanted to order the bacon strips also, but I just came from yoga, so I felt guilty about eating too much fried food. Haha! Sayang work-out.

The spicy chicken was so GOOOOD. I don't have a picture of it because I gobbled it all up upon its arrival at our table. Haha. OA. It's bite-sized, boneless chicken in spicy glazing, and it is absolutely delicious when dipped into the creamy garlic sauce (which came with the ma-ling chips, not the chicken). 128077128077128077128077128077

It's nice that Hao has so many kinds of pulutan to choose from, and not just the usual "sisig" that you would find in most watering holes. Yes, their specialty is supposedly Chinese food, but they've recognized that their market is the late night drinking crowd (because of call centers nearby), and so their menu is adjusted to cater to this. Good job! 128077

First Taste: Hao is tucked away at the side of CEO Suites on Jupiter Street in Makati. Two menu items immediately grabbed my attention: Twice Cooked Pork and Bacon Chips. BACON CHIPS. Php 128 for a plateful of pork heaven. Must go back here.

Thank you Looloo for adding Hao in your list. Cheap thrills. Simple joys. Better version of GER (good earth). Maling sisig, mushroom sisig, wanton chips, hainanese chicken. Super cheap but good. Very laid back. Pwde na.
