We eat here most of the time and I love the food, though I still have a lot to try next time.

Happy birthday to dichi. We celebrated chinese style here at evia. The place here is very warm, very chinese. I liked staying in the second floor, much more spacious!
I ike the ambiance; however the music is so... Filipino. Like tagalog. Good thing i did like a lot of their food.

128204128525 polonchay seafood soup (php 230 good for 5)
Spinach. Seafood. I suggest you ask the waiters to give you black vinegar to go with it! Unlike other polonchay soup, this one got seafood taste. I suggest you get this or hot and sour the next time you visit hap chan.

128204128525 mixed meat canton (php 210)
Not bad! Although i understand that it got an extra dash of vetsin in it, the noodles were not soggy. Though you should mix it prior to eating cause it has the tendency to get dry pag matagal naka-expose sa air.

128204 yangchow fried rice (php 250)
Dry. Not so good

128204128525 chinese style fried chicken (php 360)
Love this tasty and tender chicken. Even without sauce you can eat it.

128204 chopseuy guisado (php 260)
I was not able to appreciate it that much. It did not leave a lasting impression.

128204 hakaw dimsum (php 100 4 pcs)
I love the flour skin. However the inside was too flavorful. The prawn taste got lost.

128204spare ribs dimsum (php 90)
Not really remakable as well. Ok to miss this one.

128204 spring roll (php 50 for three pieces)
Ok. You got me there. Aka shanghai lumpia. Vinegar was good though. Everything is lumpiang shanghai.

Btw. Color of the day is red.

When I don't eat noodles, I get congee. This pork congee with century eggs is indeed a treat and at first sip, it's simply how I would want my congee to be. The saltiness is just fine (i didn't add soy sauce) and the pork+century egg combo is just great! A simple meal with the Hap Chan house tea is simply satisfying.

The place is cool, right smack in the middle of the classy, artsy Evia Lifestyle Center. Service is good, also. They have a huge dining area that can accommodate most hungry southies.

Diced Chicken w/ Salted Fish Fried Rice, Kaylan w/ Garlic, Lumpia Shanghai and Crispy Fried Chicken for lunch. Good thing my son tagged along and has a good appetite otherwise we would've brought home a big doggy bag. Food was great and reasonably priced.
