Hap Chan is one of the leading Hong Kong-Chinese restaurant in the Philippines. They offer variety of authentic Hong Kong-Chinese cuisine from Chinese classic, dim sum, fresh vegetables, hotpots, noodles, rice noodles, rice toppings, congee, roasting, soup as well as appetizers.

We dine at Hap Chan City o San Fernando Branch located at Pua Phee Bldg., P. Burgos Street, City of San Fernando, La Union. The ambiance was good but the attendants don’t know how to accommodate clients properly. We ordered HoTo Tay and Wanton soup since the weather was gloomy while waiting for our order to be served they offered us free tea. When our order arrived I am so excited sip the soup but it tasted differently from their other branches, maybe the preparation wasn’t right or because the Branch was newly franchised so employees might have not completed their training yet I guess. Anyhow, we recommended the employees to finish their training if they haven’t completed it yet or to see to it that the soup' cooking process will be quality assured and we also told them to receive clients with utmost fineness.

Overall, we will visit the branch again to see if they inculcated our words in their hearts for them to serve their clienteles excellently.

Love the Mango-Sago Dessert with vanilla ice cream. Perfect for a hot weather.
The meal is pricey, but it has Rice Topping Menu for lesser price and (of course) lesser portion. But just the same, their meals are tasty. 128513

Bad food preparation not similar to Manila branches. They do not know what part should be use for Lechon macau and how they cook it to dry. Also the crispy chicken its not crispy its sooooo dry!!! We try this place before during the opening day and still im not happy. Train your chef to cook like chinese chef.

If you plan to eat here try not to order this food.

Finally hap chan la union. Now we can enjoy the same good chinese food that we have been enjoying for years in the metro :)

Place is fairly new, but as traditional chinese places are - the space has been maximized. Currenly until 2nd floor, not sure though if they would expand to the 3rd floor for additional seating capacity.

We ordered beef brocolli, yanchao fried rice and salt and pepper spare ribs. Beef and pork were both tender.

Ordered chilled taho w/ gulaman and buchi for dessert. Loved the taho but not a fan of ube filled buchi.

Overall the place is a must but not for those who has budget in mind.
