For P60, its just ok. The gelatin had a nutty texture. If you're looking for a cheap dessert for a midnight snack this will somehow fill you up for the time being as you burn the midnight oil.

Wasn't worth it! This for P185. There were very few beef strips & broccoli. I know other Chinese Restaurants with much bigger servings for the price.
Taste was also plain. The sauce was obviously full of cornstarch. 128513
I should have just ordered noodles and hakaw. Hmph. 128528

Efficient service, sufficient parking slots, free wifi, and of course, good Chinese food! 11088
I especially like the shrimp siomai and hakaw. Put some chili and... boom! Perfect! Haha. Just remember to have a glass of water with you just in case you can't handle the spicy flavor. 128541

Good place to get comfort chinese food! We often visit the place on sick days or on regular days just for soup and its open til late night too. Mango sago is also yummy! Noodle soups or their specialty soups are all good.

It's probably that we've eaten here so many times, and I've kind of settled on the taste already. But I no longer get wow-ed by the food on offer here.

That said, it isn't a bad place to grab some quick and tasty Chinese chow. I always go for the lemon chicken--rightly balancing sweet and salty, if a little overcooked. This, paired with their Yang Chow interpretation will get you really full. I have to admit, it's a satisfying experience--if somewhat underwhelming.

I like their Hakau dumpling, though. It's hit or miss a bit on whether you get it overcooked (and slightly soggy) or just right. The shrimp inside, however, always just melts in your mouth and never is rubbery like in other establishments.

Their fish congee is one I recommend on a rainy day, hitting just the right flavourful notes. I never eat things too salty so I like how subdued it is in that regard. A hefty bowl is a full meal in itself.

Lastly, I am a big fan of wanton noodle soup and it's here that Hap Chan kind of loses me. The noodles are a little too stiff for my liking, the beef stock too watery, and the beef itself lacking. The wanton that they throw in does kind of make up for all that in terms of taste and quantity, but only just.

What does stand out for me is the service. There are a ton of waiters flitting about and one is never too far away when needed. Everyone is smiles and courteous all around, and ready to serve whatever you need. Service is also quick and speedy--no long waits here.

If you're looking for something authentic, Hap Chan isn't for you. I suspect a little overbearance of MSG is what gets me feeling too bloated after a meal. If you want a dining experience where you can bond with the family and see everyone full and content, Hap Chan is just that little bit a cut above average fair. Big groups can bond and share an evening in thos branch's wide spaces, great lighting and spacious tables.

Haven't had Chinese food for a while and this was the nearest in my recommendations list.

We ordered hakaw, buttered chicken, lechon macau and salt and pepper spareribs. I liked the chicken but it didn't taste buttered at all. The spareribs were okay but same with the chicken - lacks the right seasoning. As for the lechon macau, I just had one bite then ayoko na. Haha. The hakaw was good! And the serving was big. It had two or three shrimps inside! 128077128076 Pweds na din. Affordable Chinese food. 128114

Venue:
Ambiance is warm and very inviting. Clean and not crowded tables for a Chinese restaurant and there is not a lot of parking but it was past 10pm. Parking also had thick steel rods between car spaces and it's hard to park, we brought a huge 4WD. Car fit but made us paranoid when parking

Amenities:
Free WIFI

Food:
Polonchay with seafood soup - Star of the night. My picky cousin and I agree.
Lechon Macau - Ordinary to me without the chili vinegar dip
Broccoli with beef - Veggie is amazingly crunchy, not overcooked. Beef and sauce was ordinary
Hakaw - Tastes good but not remarkable
Butchi - Tastes good but not palate-catching

Customer Service:
I had to ask if the Lechon Macau has a dip. They were quick to respond when called for. Forgot to serve water, I had to ask for it. But in general, they are very nice.
