The long lines were bearable here than in any Coco branch. Though riders from Grab filled the qeue more than regular customers, it moved a bit faster than I expected.
So I'm happy.

Ambience:
Dine-in space is very tight and there is a big chance you might go for take-out especially on weekends. If you're lucky enough to dine in, I suggest you avoid sitting at the corner near the window because it's freezing glaciers over there. Length of the line was super long since the time we've entered until we left. Talk about a busy branch!
Power Puff Pearl Milk Tea:
This is the second time I've ordered this beverage and it was very delicious, having a sweetness I found just right at 100% sugar level. Amount of pearls was pretty generous since I still had some until the last sip, but the Puff Cream ran out rather quickly. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the placement of the straw but I remember having so much of it during my first try.
Service:
It took awhile for some drinks to be distributed because a small group before us left the branch, and their names were being called for more than a minute. I realized that, as customers, doing such can possibly hinder workflow so I'll keep that in mind. :) Service was good!

After seeing Mary Margaret M's review on my feed about a week or more ago... i had the exact same reaction - Luh?!? May egg waffles na sa Happy Lemon??? Markado na sakin ang Happy Lemon since then and i knew that i had to pass by a branch to try this! Even more so with their matcha flavored version.
Unfortunately... my excitement was all for naught. I got 1 of each flavor pa naman . Having grown up in HK, the taste of a good egg waffle or eggette or 'gai dan zai' has never left my tastebuds. I ate that stuff as a kid while waiting for my mom during her trips to the wet market, or while following her around on sidewalks. Disappointed that they weren't able to pull it off when they have all the means to. Whereas in HK these are sold at your everyday side shops or street vendors.
The plain waffle tasted more like those Nissin Eggnog cookies. The matcha lacked the matcha kick i was looking for. And even if i could taste the chocolate the base flavor was all wrong. The waffles were only crispy on the edges and soggy everywhere else. In HK these are crispy on the outside and soft & fluffy on the inside.
It didnt help that the service was poor today as well. The cashier/manager was a bit on the confused side. After repeatedly clarifying and confirming that i'll be getting a medium lemon yakult w/ pearls, she still punched in a large and had to re-enter the correct size. I ordered 1 of each waffle (tig-isang flavor), but kept being thrown questions like 'isa lang?', 'choco & matcha?', 'plain & choco?'... hindi nga ate tig isa nga! Oh, and i had to return my lemon yakult after taking a few sips because the pearls weren't added in.

Happy lemon cooler was okay. What displeased me was that the signage on the door said they were open until 11 pm on Thursdays but apparently they close at 10. Since I was supposed to wait for my ride there, that kind of screwed up my schedule

I will only go to Greenhills out of necessity. I live and breathe Makati and I am a territorial mammal. The only time i was forced to go there is when i picked up Tiny Book Of Tiny Stories volume 1 at Fully Booked. Coincidentally this was also the height of Happy Lemon's popularity. I decided to grab a cup of Cocoa with rock salt and cheese.
I have been a fan of Happy since then. I only order Cocoa from their milk tea range. The rest of my favorites are in the fruit tea line.
Fast forward to today, i had a massive headache after messing around with excel for x number of hours. Two advils later, there's still minimal throbbing on my left temple. I decided to swing by Happy before heading home. Got a large cup of Cocoa with rock salt and cheese. I gotta stay, the taste is how i remember it. Not overly sweet, the cheese froth is as yummy as ever.
Happy Lemon has made a lot of people jovial with their drinks. They continuously deliver yummy treats for the thirsty milk tea afficionado.

A bit expensive compare to the rest of the milk tea chains available around the area, tried the milo milk tea and it was disappointing. Tried the classic and tastes better and much cheaper.

Okay I'm really sorry I rated them just one star. Oh #sorrynotsorry pala. It was so bland! Tasted like water! Considering it's 100% sugar. Even my mom's drink was ugh! Not good!

I know Happy Lemon's peak has already died down a bit...
But I'm pretty sure i'd always want to go back once in a while and have this fave o' mine just like the other day!...Oh, Rock Salt and Cheese Cocoa!

This branch is always disappointing. The quality of their drinks are never how they should be.
One time my drink had big solid sugar cubes in it. Today, I ordered a drink with 100% sweetness. When I took a sip, it wasn't sweet at all. I went back to tell them about it, and they added more syrup.
...nope, still wasn't sweet.
I don't think I'm coming back anytime soon.

Cocoa milk tea with rock salt and cheese - Sweet, salty, creamy and chocolatey. Skip the straw! This milk tea is best enjoyed straight from the cup. Though the creamy top was a little too salty for me, which made the cocoa milk tea taste bland. I ended up stirring my drink. No more froth moustache!

I always loved the first sip of this RS&C. I'm glad hubby and I often go for HL rather than the other establishments. Coz here we could never go wrong having the same drink all over again...
There's me and hubby mimicking the picture on top of our heads.

After claiming my facebook prize at Nolita in BGC last Saturday with my fam we stroll around then before going home my son and I was craving for milktea. We saw Happy a Lemon.
My son Latrell Joshua L is a fan of Milo Dinosaur then I had Oreo Cookies and Cream to go. Just cost less than 100 pesos. The taste was good but it would be better if we add puddings and I'm so stupid to forgot it.
